Monster Cropped Strawberry Banana

Can I make a suggestion that may or may not help your bug problem?

I noticed in previous pictures, the floor in the room, underneath the plant. It’s always best to keep your tent/grow area clean, to help prevent from attracting those unwanted bastards!

I took a trip the Home Depot, then to Lowe's, neither had Spinosad. If you look it up on their website you"d think they were swimming around in the stuff, but no. So, I got Neem instead. I sprayed the FUCK out of the plant. Still no bugs in the closet. Well see how it goes.

Fucking plants! Fucking bugs!

I love my Coco. I know everyone says dirt tastes better but I'm undecided on that, mine tastes pretty damn good haha. At some point I'm gonna grab a couple bags of great lakes water only super soil and compare.

The biggest problem I have with dirt farming is space, you gotta have big heavy pots of dirt, and even bigger heavier bins full of it cooking or you gotta buy new bags of it every round if your using a marketed super soil. Which is expensive.
Honestly I'd (will) probably run docs kit, those plants always look freaking gorgeous. But it's cheap for me to keep buying a gallon of Dyna-Gro every so often, and it's kind of expensive to get docs or coots stuff up and going. Not that it's not worth it, and it doesn't cost nearly as much for the successive runs, just the initial outlay.

Rich and Penny are the ones that turned me onto the Dewey mister. And Vex lol

My issue with coco is that it's only a couple degrees away from hydro, what I'm doing already. If I gear up for a different style grow I have to do something with all the hydro stuff. Last time I did dirt in the main room my RDWC became a hamper in my office... no wonder I was growing lily pads when I brought it back!

I do like growing a single plant in dirt in the closet. It started out to see the difference between dirt and hydro, but I almost always grow from seed. Considering how different seeds of the same strain can grow it's kind of silly. Shit the 2 plants I have now are vastly different and they are mother and clone. Man your right about getting rid of spent dirt. I have 30 large pots around my property from a manufacturer called Gainey in Pomona. They went out of business a few years back and I still have a few empty ones.... WHAT THE HELL AM I GONNA DO WHEN THEYRE ALL FULL!? I could flush it down the toilet I guess. You can get rid of all kinds of stuff with a toilet!

If I retooled my shed I would probably get into some sort of magic soil. Maybe build a composter from a Harbor Freight cement mixer or something. The novelty of large hydro plants fascinates me. Maybe I'll grow up... but I doubt it. Thanks for stopping in. I'll be by your place later. Cheers.

I'm gonna have to look that up...

Really? C'mon now... think back to grade school and the library.

Now for serious matters. Fuckin plants!

While my RDWC isn't going anywhere soon, my other 4x4 tent is most likely going to end up mostly being run with dutch buckets. Some call them hempy, some call them bato, many names for it.

It's hydro-ish, kinda like coco, but has some perks that I'm finding to be excellent. It may be worth a think on for your shed, mainly because of temps and such.

For example, with RDWC (or DWC, etc) you need to keep your water cool for the dissolved oxygen. Not so for a dutch bucket. Coco you can overwater, but not in a dutch bucket. Rig up a res, gravity drain, and throw it on a timer. Don't need to worry about how much runs off, as it all goes back to the res.

However it's the temp part that may be of most use for your grow shed. I'm still using Z7 and hydroguard, but more precautionary than anything. Better safe than sorry. You could easily use 2 drops/gal of bleach and run sterile if you wanted to do so.

You'll still have to pH the water, but that's hydro.

If I ever build out a dedicated grow room, it'll have 10ft ceilings and I'll be using these for sure. Put the buckets on 18" tables, and call it a day.

You missed it man... so disappointed. "Look it up"?

A friend, Dr.Doob grows hempy. You should look him up

Took a look at the buggy plant. It's still buggy. I only saw one, but one bug is buggy nonetheless. Fuckin bugs (again)

Plant looks good. Buds are popping up here and there. So happy this strain doesnt stretch much. The closet plant is gonna go crazy in the next few weeks.

Neither plant smells though... to be fair this strain doesnt put out big smells. I've grown a few Strawberry Bs that have had crazy trichomes though. I fear this particular seed isnt very strong, we'll find out together I guess

Hydro growing just makes way more room for mistakes and water damage in house if you leak to much plus more electricity for all the pumps coolers fans and lights.Plus way more money on supplies over all to run a hydro system.I only need soil and three bottles of nutrients and i can run my grow months on end.No air pumps no water chiller and dehumidifier needed from all the water evaporation.
