Mono's Perpetual Soil

I hope your soil woes are sorted soon and lovin the selection of beans!

Hopping so, it has been dispatched so I am at the mercy of the courier company now. :surrender:

:thanks: Really excited for the pineapple chunk from barneys farm, going to veg the hell out of them though so will be well into the new year before there is any buds on them :)

Keep it green my friend, :peace:

In preparation for the soil (hopefully) arriving today I have been systematically going through and cleaning / sterilising everything to do with the grow. Pots etc have all been washed down in the bath with a mild bleach solution. Must say my wife was none to pleased with dirty pots in the bath lol.

Hope my cleanliness will reward me with a pest and problem free grow, at least at first.

:bongrip:

Tomorrow I am going to set up the small veg tent in anticipation of getting things under way. I will be using 4 x 65 watt 6400k cfls, 3 x 45 watt 2700k cfls and 2 x 30 watt 2700k cfls.

So 260 watt of 6400k and 195 watt of 2700k for a total in the veg tent of 455 watts of cfls.

I have considered purchasing a couple more 6400k cfls for the veg tent, however I feel I would be just as well to invest in a 250 or 400 watt hps instead.

We shall see :thumb:

The auto flowering seeds are going to be planted directly into 10 litre deep pots straight after germination and they will remain there all the way to the end in an attempt to minimise stress.

The regular seeds will be planted initially into 3 litre deep pots, transplanted to 10 litre (same as the autos) then finally into 20 litre pots three weeks before putting them under the 600 watt hps for flowering.

I have been looking at ways to increase yield under the HPS. I have good control of temps, humidity, nutes, air all the basics. Would be good to implement some co2 into the mix.

Thing is, I have no idea where to start.

Can someone shed some light on a relatively inexpensive, small, easy to use system? Can be a bought system or home made.

Thank you all in advance, Mono
