Mono's 600 Watt HPS Soil Grow 2013

So today you could say I butchered the clone that's still in veg. I took her out and cut her up, tied her down and bent her branches. I did do one thing nice, she got a big feed of canna terra vega at 5ml/liter :)

So here she is this morning

The clone pictured above is proving to be an extremely strong plant. I have been doing a bit of brain racking and think I may veg her for another month or so, take a batch of colones from her. Let her recover.

THEN... experiment with a 1 plant scrog! Heard and been reading great things about the scrog method of growing, but don't want to convert the whole flowering tent until I have a bit of experience with the method, so a single plant scrog may be the way to go.

I'm changing ideas like the Scottish weather, haha! However, this is meant to be a perpetual grow so I guess ideas can change as the grow, grows :)

:peace: Mono.

never thought of it in that sense, always just thought of it as saving 6 hours worth of electricity haha! I agree though, 24/0 would be much simpler. Would it cause any stress to the vegging plants to just switch the time on the timer to 24/0?

Nope, as long as you add to the light period you're fine. My gear is so energy efficient I don't even think about power bills. My bill is included in my rent and when I fired up ALL my gear it rose so little that the landlord didn't even mention it.

That's perfect, I don't think my bill went up that much when I was running just the cfl's. Not too sure about the HPS though. Still must be using less than the fridge and freezer haha

Only about 5 more weeks to go lol

Tick, toc, tick, toc... It feels like forever. I understand hahah.

But you will be reading this in 5 weeks and be like, where did all that time go?

I was going through my journal reading through it and seemed like I was misspelling stuff in my posts only yesterday hahaha. :thumb:

Girl is looking MAD frosty!! :Namaste:

Hang in there brotha! -CA

Thanks buddy!

I know the feeling, so hard standing back drooling over them every day :)

Oh and believe it or not, there is cucumbers, corn and tomatoes growing around the edges of the tent ha ha. Kind of an agreement with the wife lmao

Hey, not bad, keep both sides of the island happy! I'd like to have an indoor tent solely for some veggies..
Scotland pretty cold out I assume, any chance of an outdoor garden Mono? :peace:

Next few weeks should be a fun transition :MoreNutes:
When you shooting to flush Mon, that is, if you do!?

I agree, she uses the space until it gets warm enough to put the veg outside in the greenhouse and polly tunnel. Not a bad deal really, besides she uses the meds too. :thumb:

Nope, no chance of an outdoor grow, only autos would work and even then they risk mold. I live quite far north so can't put anything outdoors until end of may and then first frost is mid September lol. I could probably grow in the greenhouse, but don't want to risk it when I already have a grow indoors lol.

Our little tent we use for seedlings is full of veg, got everything from purple tomatoes to black carrots lol. Will post some pics of the veg tomorrow. It's really rewarding growing plants, even ones that don't get you high. Plus the kids love being able to have a little cucumber plant on their window, although, they over water them and constantly poke at them :)

Planning to flush in the next three weeks or so, two weeks before harvest as I find canna nutes can be tasted strongly in the buds if only flushed once. Although, never grown this strain before so may be a bit of guess work on the exact timing. But there will certainly be one flush.

Going to up the nutes one last time tomorrow to 10ml/liter plus 2ml/liter of pk 13/14 then stick with that until flush :)

Really excited about this grow :)

:peace::high-five:

Gave the ladies a nice feed of canna terra flores at 10ml/liter along with 2ml/liter of pk 13/14. They seem to have taken well to the increased dose, only time will tell if it has had an adverse effect.

Along in the other tent, the double berry clone has responded well with the butchering she took a couple of days ago. Has exploded with lot's of new growth! Hopping for good things from her.

Peace, Mono

Some info on the strains I have growing in the small tent

OG KUSH - This particular strain is a 50/50 sativa / indica. It's a cross between Black domina and OG KUSH with a relatively respectable flowering time of 9 - 11 weeks.

Super Iced Grapefruit I have grown this strain before and they have a really fast growing, extensive root system. It has wonderful genetics being a cross between Diesel, Chronic and skunk #1. Has a really good flowering time of bang on 8 weeks, give or take a day either side. She is also a heavy yielder (going on my last grow)

Apologies for the funky colours :P

Peace, Mono
