Momma's Kitchen Serving: Black Cali Grape

Finally got my seeds from LB extra 3 weeks compared to normal years
seems like the new toilet paper is veggies seeds

That's great news! Looks like another year of people growing their own food.

Prepped my beds, & add chicken manure. Been raining the past couple days so that's good. Going to plant my garlic tomorrow.

Also building my other bed this week for broccoli only.

Built a neighbourly 6ft fence (hard holding wood above my head for 400 in the back). I was thinking of letting some climbing veggies go crazy. Cucumber?? Any suggestions

Making some gummies again today. See if I can get it right. Last ones were ok but I can do better. I know I can.

Also lining up my strains for Mars LED light comparison grow. Thinking about how I want to line it up. I am going to do a three way comparison, my old set up, MARS LED, and Mother Nature (greenhouse) I want to time it so they are on the same schedule. Should be fun.

Much love ❤️

Is that 400 boards ? what type of cucumbers? I grew pie pumpkins on the fence before
just want to make greenery - wild climbing cucumbers, bottle gourds and morning glories
I ordered some 6' climbing petunia for this year to try
perennials you could go with clematis or grapes

chicken manure. hope its well composted & you didn't go crazy with it
Has a high nitrogen content & can burn young plants
also too much for some veggies you will get all greens & no fruit

broccoli (cabbage family ) likes more of an alkaline soil ( mushroom compost is high alkaline)
it also like cool weather plant where it gets morning sun not late hot afternoon sun
you can plant garlic in the fall also, although it might grow year round there

:ciao:

do you have a “primary” journal? Or do you float between them depending on the garden...? I’m not on site much some days/weeks atm and want to know the best place to find you When I do log in.
:Namaste:
Hi Amy If you talking about me I'm just a floater you could always PM me or @ me to your thread if you got questions

Hi Amy!!! Hope your well. I haven't been on here just trying to juggle the rooms. BCG is one that I am on the most.

Or this one

I haven't opened my Greenhouse or comparative grow. I just need more time..... or more space.... or just a few more plants .... hahah

Hope you are staying well and not getting cabin fever like me.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know some of that so that switches up my garden locations for planting.

It is horse fencing. But we framed it it to make it look better. Our hood is changing so much. Some sketchy people walking around.

All of the above!
cabin fever
Sorry about that. I can easily sympathise. I live with a permanent background cabin fever cause I have a chronic thing that keeps me at home for the most part. It’s 4200% awesome that I live in a natural paradise of sorts. I don’t know how I’d be without it! I feel so much for everyone in these extended and repeated lockdowns. It can’t go on forever, and won’t I’m sure.
Looking at plants helps :green_heart:
