Mojuan's Indoor Hydro Grow Journal Dec 2019

Quick question on watering during flowering light schedule 12 and 12. Right now I'm watering 6x at 30min fill every 4 hours. It works, don't ask lol. The plants are up taking 6 gallons every 24 cycle. When I flip to 12 and 12, I don't think they will need as many fill cycles but I could increase the fill time as I've read they dont drink during sleep time. I could use some suggestions on #of times to fill, was thinking 4x and increasing the fill time to 45 minutes. Tia

ok, a quick story of stupid is as stupid does. I've been watering at 6x for 30 min this whole time. I knew that the plants wouldn't uptake anything while sleeping. Well..... they have been flourishing this whole time so I let it ride. The girls were on a 18-6 light schedule....... right? WRONG!!!!!!! i had it set up for the lights to come on at 8am and go off at 2am. 6 hours of sleep. well i went out the other night just barely past 2am and the lights were still on, didn't think too much about it other than to think the lights were just about to go off. Yesterday I had stuff to do in the morning and stuff to do in the afternoon and couldn't do everything i needed to do on a res change so i went out at 7:30 am to at least start the process, run my errands then come back and finish it up before i had to do my evening errands. well the lights were already on at 7;30..... hmmmmmm, i checked the timer and waaaalaaaaa, the timer was on bypass and the girls have been getting blasted with a 24-7 light cycle this whole time. That might be the reason they went on a grow party while i was in the hospital, that might be the reason they have not been deterred of feeding at night when i thought they were sleeping, they wern't sleeping, they were running the streets at night while I was sleeping. i'm fixing to put them into flower and don't want to go from 24-7 to 12-12 so I put them on 16-8 and will gradually get to 12-12. oh what fun.

2-11 will be 11 week from germination, flipping to flower, the RH is way too high for my liking, 80-85%, a friend is bringing his dehumidifier over so that will be 2, still having issues with the floor condensation, covered the outside with some temporary skirting to see if that helps, I'll get some pictures today when the lights come on, need some major defoliation and direction on how much bla bla bla. Still feeling weak from my near death experience, never thought that anything like that would ever happen to me, I've been told it may take a few months before I start feeling normal. Today is day 21 of no smoking..... yea. I'll post more later.

sounds like you ate having fun . In regards to your watering question I would just maintain a constant feed schedule and not worry so much about cutting it down in the night hours . The last thing you want to do is create a situation where salt is building up in the root zone because its getting a chance to dry out . Keep things simple and consistent .
In regards to uptake in flower going down that's not until way way later , I have had 6 girls uptale 8-10 gallons a day in flower :) .
yeah you need to watch those timers they will get you every time . If you don't already have backup for your main system components I highly recommended that you start purchasing . The last thing you want is to have a timer , pump etc go out in the middle of the night let alone period and have to wait days for a replacement . Its causes great undo stress and messes with the grow .

Those darn timers! I just discovered mine is off by 1 hour too!
It's better to catch it then not at all!

the more I defoliate the more they grow, i guess that's a good thing. trying to get a handle on the RH, found a mode on my mini split that said dry soooooo dry it is at 69 degrees. it wasn't 90 % RH this morning, but 79 it think is still too high, I'll let it ride before I deploy the bigger badder dehumidifier. peace out, I can't wait to see what's in store for me at the end of this cycle.

ok tuesday will be 12 weeks since germination (12-3-2019), flipped the lights last tuesday to 12x12 and already see some flowering going on. Still having some small issues with the RH in the room but the dehumidifier that i borrowed is kicking ass as long as i can keep it emptied. Here are some pic's for your viewing pleasure lol

the girls are stacking up nicely,
Question: should I adjust the lights to get them closer to the plants that haven't stretched up to the lights or let it ride. here's what it looks like after the lowering of the lights. They were all the same height.
