as far as when to put a net over your ladies its your call . Things you need to consider are your max light height in your area and anticipate around 1 1/2 x the height for stretch and then at least another 12" for cola growth while maintain proper light distance . That my general rule of thumb.
 
Looking great, some explosive growth going on!
 
Week 7
new res change today, metered nuets as i put them in, going to go with it and dilute in a few days as they up take water. i think the scrog net is going up wednesday. and yes the growth is explosive so far, even the runts are catching up.

Week 7 since germination
Took a few pics last night after topping, getting the veg room ready, clones are going to be taken and start all over again..... I hope. the girls are drinking a shit ton of water so i had to buy another water can to keep up with them, RO'ing water in the winter is a bit challenging, i have to wait till 10 or 11 a.m. to start.and run till 9 or 10 pm then drain the hoses so they wont freeze. they have a bit of slush but that's easy to get out. I'm having some condensation problems because of the high RH in the grow room around the res and a few buckets, anyone else have these problems? now for a few pic's.

some more pic's, of the veg room coming together and these are the condensation pic's and how do i stop it or minimize it. I have a few ideas but any input would be accepted. there was a lot underneath the res pooled up, I wiped it up with a towel and left it under it but couldn't see where it was coming from.

scrog net deployed, going to have a friend help me lower it and start flower cycle in 2 weeks. water on the floor by the door means separation of 2 different atmospheres ..... i think? pics next

almost 8 weeks from germination
res change tonight, left town for 2 days, I filed the res to 50 gal, the girls drank 10, i didn't check the ppm before i dumped the res. the grew a bunch, I didn't like leaving but i thought it would be ok for 2 days. i don't like the ppm being as high as it is but I'm going to go with it.

as a retired sewer man for the city, i recognised some ick floating around the bottom of the res when i emptied it, residual crap from the hoses coming back when they drain back into the res.
no new ick, res was clean

I'm amazed, after a year of the school of hard knocks, I might have figured out a few things lol, I don't like the high ppm but im new the this hydro thing but I'm very satisfied at this point. if it affects them too much I'll draw off some of the res and add RO water. that's the plan anyway. lol

they are looking good your ppm will be higher than most simply because of the system I still feel its aggressive but all you need to do is watch the leafs of the plant when you are pushing them hard the very tip of the balde will turn yellow and from yellow to brown and then it will start to burn down the edge ...so just start looking for a yellow tip . As far as leaving with your type of system you would have to set up an electronic type top off for the res ...with mine its a simple float valve from a 55 top off container .

to aid in keeping the res clean you can put an inline filter in the return , one that is used for sprinkler systems will work and can be found in that section of your major hardware stores like lowes,home depot, menatrads etc...the screen is 100 micron filter .

Been sick since Monday, the girls have upped their water intake to almost 5 gallons a day now, my son came over last night and topped it off to 50 gallons, I hope this bug goes away soon, chills, shaking, puking, thought I had rounded the corner but I'm doing the same thing all over again

The hospital called me this morning and told me that the blood cultures they took the day before were positive and that I needed to come back so they could admit me and expect to stay at least till Monday..... NOT NOW. The girls are drinking 5 to 6 gallons a DAY, blowing my mind. I 1 friend that knows what's up and says he got my back., I sure hope so. Here's 1 pic, in the hospital and people are in and out.
