You could try to raise the plants on the outside. I really think it’s about coverage and not penetration though.

they are in an ebb and grow system, everything has to be level. the only thing i can raise and lower is the lights.

sometimes I'm a little slow, are you saying that jokingly or for real. I was told to stop defoliating, do i need to do more or less or stay the course. first time with ebb and grow system, i dont really like all the leaf but they are getting trichomes on them so i hate to pinch them off, any suggestions?

Nope not saying it jokingly, I'm appreciating what you've done, you filled that tent nicely and there's a ton of tops!
Personally I defoliate just before flip then again after the 21 day stretch, then let them be until harvest.

week 6 flower update
not much to tell, just keep watering and an occasional recharge of nuets, im pretty happy with what's going on except the whole "shelter in place" thing we have going on, but I'm high risk for numerous reasons so here i sit. took way too many pics to post so here are a few.
