Mmmmick 1st Scrog 3 strains 90w LED closet

Time for an update. 23 days on flower cycle
Both Afis have been losing color in their fan leaves, and some leaves have dropped. Maybe a lack of N but they've been getting their nutes. I think they might have been in lockout due to 50% Miracle Grow all purpose at the start of flower cycle, followed by regular Botanicare nutes, then bat guano 0-15-1 to help build buds. Maybe too much in a 10 day period. So I did a 5x flush with 10 gallons of 10% fertilizer solution(they're in 2 gallon pots). If they were lacking in N this will get them started to recovery. If they were locked out the flush should take care of that. We'll see if it helps. Could be the Afi's just don't like neem oil?
Only the Afi's were affected, the Super Skunk and Big Bud are doing fine, much less sensitive to ferts it seems.

Got a few pics, some rearrangement done to get some of the tops a little further above the screen. I've been trying to fill every hole but now I feel that I should start to concentrate on developing the existing tops instead of getting light to minor bud sites.

Looking good Mmmmick, I always get some yellowing of leaves when flowering. I don't know anything about scrogs so I hope someone that does will chime in. It definitely looks like some sort of issues considering the yellowing is happening at the tops of the plants. It sort of odd that all the other plants look so green and healthy. Sorry I can't be much of a help but I am sure it will get figured out with all the knowledge in here. Good luck and great job..

hi sonzor thanks for having a look. I'm expecting yellowing a little later, could be I just didn't give them enough N when they were showing signs a few weeks ago. They greened up but could have needed continued high N for a while. It's actually the lower fan leaves but the screen probably holds them in an odd position so they appear to be higher on the plant. the tops are actually a good green, maybe a little tip damage if that.
edit: ah I see the pic that caused you to think that it was high on the plant. That one top has been strugglimg with a fert splash that happened back in veg.

Nice job on the seeds btw. great pics also, good closeups. What kind of camera do you use?

I am sure you will get it figured out. I have A Cannon EOS 20D. I am in the market for a new one but for know it will have to do.

nice cam, I'm looking at the T1i come new years sales at Futureshop. Still have a handful of Canon Lenses from my old EF film cam.

All are in 1gal pots, is it ok?

Im going to go with the scrog 2x2 ufo 90w set up.

ill send some pics when i get the scrog built. Maybe start a journal

the HD only had 1in mesh. Too small?

I'd suggest a bigger pot before you get to flower mode. Transplant at least 2 weeks before flowering.
I'm using 2 gallon which might be ok if you don't veg very long. I'm still looking for 3 gallon square pots that'll fit my screen.
2x2 is probably a good size with the 90w, but I would strongly recommend a 2 inch grid. There will be a lot of pulling of branch tips back under the screen as the plants grow. With a 1" grid you will find it very difficult to keep the leaves in good shape. Any way to cut the grid to allow 2" spacing or is it a metal grid?
Be interested to see your design. Have you settled on screen height yet? 8" or so above the pots is good.A journal is a good idea, it will open your grow up to a lot of experienced readers.

Good luck with your setup. Are your clones improving or just hanging in?

the other is a lost cause.
going to dispensary tonight and pick up a heathy one, thats already rooted. They only charge $5 for an established baby.
Everything is about 12in away under the UFO.

I'm using a small cement tray i bought at HD, to hold the scrog. I'm going to put wheels on it, and attach the scrog to it. That way I can get in and outta the closet easy. i'll send a pic tonight after work.

Hi weedtastic good to see you.
AT the moment they are only on water after the flush, for 2 waterings. About 10 days before flower they had Miracle Grow All Purpose 24-8-16 at 50%, because their color was fading. Then once in flower they had a second Miracle Grow app at 50% couple days later water only then Botanicare Fruit and Flower 1.5-4-5 two days after that. 2 days after that bat guano 0-15-1 as a liquid feed 1 level tablespoon/gallon with a light topdressing as well.They got a load of nutes in a week so I wanted to see how they liked plain H2O for a while.
I stopped using the molasses for a few feedings as well, pick it up again later in flower. Watching the yellowing for N issues just in case. I hope the mild ferts (10%)in the flush will leave them with some nutes but likely lower than whatever was locking them out if indeed it was a lockout. They were low on N just before flowering so thats a strong possibilty also.
Open to suggestions from any experienced growers if any are willing to offer an opinion.

edit" almost forgot they have 2 neem foliar applications to combat gray mold as well. That seemd to worsen the yellowing but may have been coincidental. Using baking soda next time if necessary, the neem makes the leaves feel glassy. Bud Rot Stop unavailable in Canada and Serenade requires a license.

oh well $5 isn't bad for a rooted clone, money well spent instead of trying to nurse a sick one.
The cement tray and wheels sounds like a good idea. Access to the rear of the screen is good to have.
Sounds like you're getting it together.

yeah not bad at all. Things are still pretty tight here in Canada, at least the right coast. Not so bad out west.
