metal the sns 203 works pretty good to get rid and kill the fungus gnats that are in ur soil I bought a small little one that makes 1 to 2 gallons off ebay just in case I had any pest problems with them. I also heard putting a thin layer of perlite on top of ur soil helps with the fungus gnats. the small sns203 packet I got was $9.95.

the problem im having with my NL is leaves keep yellowing up and dying so im waiting for the cal/mag and ph meter to comein the mail!

Fluxing allows me to have some control over the plant height and that is fairly important to me.... My only experience, until now, was a friend that grows 2 plants each year outdoors. Those plants get 9 feet tall and better.... I knew I couldn't provide that kind of real estate. I chose an auto because they have a smaller stature and flux it to keep it small. we'll see how the yield is.

Day 46 Growers Sense is tingling!
Everything has been fine except for the exasperating return of some gnats. I knew Matilda was getting dry. Yesterday she weighed 11 lbs. That was mid afternoon. This morning she weighed 11 lbs. and I went, "huh?". She had been looking terrific. I was thinking about giving her a small dose of water+nutes so that she will dry out quickly so I can use the SNS 203 when it gets here (Tuesday, I think). Then this morning she looks a little... odd.... Under the "natural light" cfl she looks great, under the light where I work on her, she looked meh! I gave her a half feeding of water+nutes and will check on her later.
EDIT: Yep. The "meh" look was thirst. 30 minutes after watering and she is all perky again.:EDIT

I have to say: If she were a tomato she would be stripped hard right now. She is a mass of branching---- branches from branches from everywhere. I can't really see into it to get anything pinned down well. If it's true that a bud forms a every branch《《《 is that true?--- then, well, looks good! With a tomato plant, though, one might strip a plant to limit yield which increases quality.... I would be better off, I think, with ZERO gardening experience; less to re-learn. Any thoughts on that? Is there a yield/quality coefficient in cannabis as in some tomatoes?
Also, while I'm sneaking in new packages, how important is the molasses? Is that a must? or just nice to have? and how nice is it? I am hoping for potent and tasty (aren't we all?).

the one above is my "working" light. she looks blah. I repinned what I could. I will not admit that I got frustrated and pulled 4 more leaves. Nope. Wasn't me.
Below is after tending in her regular natural light.

Looking amazing, MP! :bravo: I hope you can find a way to get rid of those bastards for good!

Very jealous of the results of fluxing so far in comparison to my girls at that age, too!

I was having the occasional gnat fly around while I was training until I said fuck it and put 4 fly traps in each corner of my grow closet, haven't seen one since  - it will be interesting to learn from how you figure this out :).

Well, she's an auto. Day 47. She's throwing out pistols everywhere. Is that "flowering"? The four mains seem to be in the early stage of forming buds. The mains are way ahead of the secondary growth, which has finally started its stretch and has pistols but, meh, not flowering. Wa-wah!
I can't change much about her environment other than bloom nutes. She gets 14 hours of 125w natural lights cfl and I'm inclined to leave it at that until harvest... I can change it to 12 hours, but she shouldnt need a kick in the pants to bloom. I'm feeling my way here, but my thought is that the NL autos love to be fluxed.
