Melville's Doug's Varin Winter Grow

Why are you getting such high humidity when I'm barely getting up to 40% rH?
A combination of high leaf area in a tiny space, and the drop in temps at lights off. Lights on I'm between 35 and 45%, but lights off I'm getting over 70%. That kind of swing, especially with the high swing in temps, really promotes PM and mould.
The fabric pots also let moisture evaporate from the sides and bottom.

Im usually around 40-60 but I also have a warm steam humidifier in my grow area.

Nice setup there. What strains?
3 purple Kush autos from Sunwest genetics and one random genetic. And thank you I wish the humidifier was smaller as it gets hot...but I have a cool air humidifier blowing in cool air from bottom inlet of tent....kinda evens things out

I have the exact same humidifier/vaporizer in my grow room but I was told not to put it in the tent as the walls would be dripping wet in 10 minutes.

So, mine is situated outside the tent by the intake thing.

My humidity never seems to get higher than 38 now but it's higher than when I started.

Grow neatness makes my heart sing :)

You guys are so lucky with your super low humidity. My humidity yesterday was 89%!

The only way it works outside the tent is in a closed room so the vaporizer will raise the RH of the room itself. Otherwise you're trying to raise the RH in the whole house!

You could turn off the exhaust fan in your tent and put the vaporizer by an intake fan. But if your exhaust fan is on all the time you could try putting it in the tent if you can't close off the room. That should raise the RH above 38%, though in late flower 38% shouldn't be a problem.

We get numbers like that in summer around here, usually. Last year was a bit weird. There were days a couple years ago when it hit 100%. You could see the air because of how saturated it was. Sweat didn't evaporate at all.
Luckily those kind of days aren't too common, and mostly don't happen past early to mid August.

Sorry when summer comes you can make fun at me when it's 118° 48°c
Envy made me say that.
If I were there I would be so happy not to be here! :ganjamon:

Perked up. She really was thirsty. Just over two weeks to the flip, I wonder if I'll have an opportunity to fill the sticks. I don't think I will. She got slowed down in the beginning between the cold, and my screw-up almost letting her get cooked. We'll see. Should need to get back to training in a couple of days.

I think you can easily fill those sticks... Once you flip it will do the stretch thing and fill right up...in theory lol my last one stretched almost a foot in 2 weeks after flip.

She looks lush, Mel!

Looking forward to the flip. :Rasta:

I did tell you it was located by the intake tunnel thing and that the room it's in isn't sealed and you said to try it anyways.

Thanks, Shed. The Gelatos, which were the plants that needed more humidity, are now in flower so boosting the humidity isn't as important as it was.

And, besides that, the veg tent currently has 8 plants in it and I don't think there's any room for a vaporizer. :laughtwo:

Guess we'll see in a couple of weeks, lol. I don't always get as much stretch as I expect when I train like this, although if this plant does have much sativa in there I may be glad of the height of the tent.

Thanks! So am I!

I'm starting to wonder how she would do outdoors. Maybe I can get away with one out there if I start light dep, and initiate flower early. I did get away with some 10 week strains in the 2020 season, but this one is supposed to be 12 weeks. I guess I'll decide based on how long she takes in here.

Are there any growth sites under those middle fans? I have to keep tucking my fans down because there's a load of growth buried beneath them!

I don't think I realized it never worked!
A couple. There is some light reaching them, but I didn't want to take any off unless I have to. I already had to take the main fans off to get the training in, and I'm sure that also slowed her down. I'll be tucking anything that needs to be, or maybe using a variation of carhooks to pull them to the sides. I just had to wait until she perked up after the transplant to make sure that the leaves were really blocking them.
