The language barrier does make things difficult at times I understand what you mean. It would be a good thing to learn Spanish so I would encourage her if you can. I always say I’d like to learn it but I have enough going on in my life so I may never get around to it. :bong:

So as you all know my camera sucks but I did the best I could. Haha.

The 4 ladies, officially flowering as of today.

So as you can see I took some fan leafs off...

And on flower day #1... why.? Well I just...... could not help myself. I saw so many bud sites being blocked by those puppies yesterday when I was moving them around I had to take a few. Looks to be about 10 per plant but I didn’t count. So anyway I don’t think the girls will notice at all and they really needed it so it’s all good.

I would have benefited from some leaf picking before I flipped the lights but hey... I think we’re going to be ok. I thought I did too much training (bending and squishing stems to 90*) to the ladies before 12/12 and didn’t want to mess with them anymore. Next time I’ll make sure to get rid of some leafage before they take over the space.

Another thing I did today was raise the light in the vertical tent. I have no more room to raise it so this will have to do till stretch is over. After that I will slowly lower the bulb into the middle of the plants so the entire length of the stems are surrounded by beautiful high intensity light...

So just to clarify... this is not a good example of a vertical grow.

It does look kind of cool with the 2 plants and a fan all using the same 5 gallon pot but.... this is not the way I would do it if I had another choice.

I plan to keep a vertical grow going from now on and the next round will blow your minds.... or at least leave you slightly intrigued. Haha. Anyway I can’t wait for next round already.

Hello everybody...

Today is day #2 of flower for the bigger tent.

Day number 11 since I switched to 12/12.

Looks like some stretch happened during night time and the AK keeper is soaking it all in.

So I’m happy I took some fan leafs off yesterday, all the tops that were hidden are loving it... but...

I have some pics and if you notice that WW#1 and WW#2 look like they are experiencing light stress. I’ve been watching this progress as stretch continues and now the new tops exposed to light are showing it. It’s hard to see on the pictures but some of the leafs are starting to fold at the serrated part of the leaf blade. The AK does not seem to mind, I’m not surprised since it is Sativa dominant, you can see how close it got to one of the lights today. 2 to 3 inches about. And WW#3 on the right front side of the tent has not been affected either but it’s been the shortest of the bunch.

So I raised the lights a few inches and unscrewed 2 bulbs that are over the most affected parts of the plants. I’m hoping this takes care of the problem.

Take a look and see what you think. I think I’m right but could be wrong. Haha.

I found my glasses... yay.

So the AK test subjects don’t seem to mind sharing the same pot. Lefty has been the smallest AK since the beginning. Righty is stretching nicely but hope she stops soon.
The tallest stem you see there is right at 12 inches above the fan.

I’m really happy with this round so far, my thumbs are slowly getting greener... haha.

Speaking of creative... Wait till you see my “portable” window AC unit... Haha. It will be ugly but it’s going to work.

Hello community...

Today is day 14 of 12/12..... day 5 of actual flower for the 4 ladies under screw in leds.

The AK test subjects are on day 19 of 12/12...... day 9 of actual flower.

I played with my camera settings a little bit... this one is a normal and the rest of 4 ladies got a different filter.

So today I plan to put a trellis on the wall of my 2x2 so I can pull the plants back and start lowering the bulb. I know stretch is not over but the lower buds need more light. Maybe just by pulling the stems back toward the wall they will get more light... hmmm. We shall see. Stay tuned. Haha.

And I I believe I’ll be watering all my ladies tonight. Today is day 5 since I watered them last so I believe they should be just about as dry as last time.

Anyway I hope everyone is doing well...

Things are moving along here... not much to report except I’ve been leaf pickin again. A few here and a few here there over the course of a couple days. I should be leaving them alone but they don’t seem to mind. The buds keep getting bigger so that’s a good sign... haha.

Today is day 7 of flower for the ladies in the 32”x32” tent. Day 16 of 12/12.

And it’s day 11 of flower for the test subjects in the vertical 2x2. Day 21 of 12/12. I lowered the light again today and I think it will stay where it is. So much for lowering it slowly... haha.

I guess I forgot a pic of WW#3....

But here’s some of the test subjects... I’m trying to show distance from the bulb.

Ideally, with my 250 watt hps, every bud should be about 6 inches from the bulb and 9 inches max, but that kind of consistency won’t happen this time. Haha. It’s ok this will be a good test to see how dense the buds will get when they are further than 9 inches.

Today is day 20 of 12/12 and day 11 of actual flower on the 4 ladies under screw in leds.

Its day 25 of 12/12 and day 15 of flower for the test subjects under vertical HPS lighting. Things are filling out pretty nicely and I suspect a decent harvest as along as no problems arise.

I’m super happy with how things are turning out, especially the 4 ladies. They look better and bigger than my last round at the same point I’m using fox farm soil in 5 gallon pots. :yummy:
