McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

just goes to show that if you grow a plant proper even from some crappy bag seed you can turn it to something way more then it was.
Or what someone thinks it is:)
& thats what im hoping for

I wish I could figure out how they turned the Colombian weeds brown or gold.........I would like to try to do it to some weed, I don't think that brown is the color of the weed when they harvest it.

LOL, I think brown had something to do with peeing on it before they bricked it up and stacked it in the hot sun - and then hoofed it across Central American in the same heat. Gold is a puzzle, though. We tried 25 years ago when we were growing Mexican and Columbian in a barn. It has to do with the cure (and the genetics, of course) - heat and sunlight or sumpin. We could get the buds on the plant to turn gold as they died, but that was also damaging to the trichs.

I recall some of the rich Colombians quite often...I got some that musta been shipped in pepper.......smelled just like it, we paid ten bucks for a four finger lid and I swear they gave us the wrong shit cuz it was very potent weed........and tasted soooo lovely.

You like those bone crushing sativas fishy, you would love this weed....very typical sativa high. I wish I could figure out how they turned the Colombian weeds brown or gold.........I would like to try to do it to some weed, I don't think that brown is the color of the weed when they harvest it.
I think a lot of it is how much clay and what color clay is in the soil eg; red clay red bud and so on:)

Well, you're here now, and it's good to see you!

thank you for the warm embrace! let me look over what i missed. problem is how many other journals am i unsubbed from? and why? im not doing it..i just always will remember you and your name and how you grace me with likes :)

this is the mexican flower journal, yeah? possibly chemdawg if flavor is like lemon after some cure time? she takes forever to finish blooming -_-

Hi McLoadie!

I did brown buds accidentally last year in 2 jars - though not sure if this is you're interested in.
I kept them on bit higher humidity during cure, and the bacteria ate the green in it rapidly. It cured to a brownish color - think it was very slight bud rot? As soon as i noticed the color change i let it go dry, and the nice taste came back afterwards, but while on high humidity it started to stink even a bit..

Good weed anywyas and best wishes! :)
OB:)

Just burned a sample from the mexikush b3, I will be honest with everyone, I have taken some criticism from some growers that I use Mexican genetics. I heard the other day "it will never be anything except Mexican weed". Now I say there may be some truth to that, except you must take into account the second half of the genetic coupling. I think the problem is that I did something soooo simple, and it worked out so well. First I will tell you this; I have smoked Mexican weed that will scramble your eggs, am I so simple minded that I look more at potential as well as prevailing qualities?, I hope so.......IDC if they grew the weed in iractchtani bumfu-k anywhere, or the gutter. What I am concerned with are "desirable qualities". If the naysayers would have seen that beauty......covered with dew at first light, covered with fat juiciness, and a tint of purple......they mighta got a weed woody like I did. So, bottom line; this weed requires a cure....period. Sixty days is pretty good, 90 is better. There is a definite chlorophyll taste at dry. The potency is acceptable...it will roast ya! We often get through 3/4 of a joint between 4 people and forget we are smoking. It takes a full ten minutes to get the full effect, and it lasts a good coupla hours.

Two down, these are the mexikush b10 and b3. These are the two lightest plants........the b10 is poopy, the b3 is a lovely thing....like juicy fruit gum! Back at it folks...Good weed...hey fishy, I knocked one down!

Now that's a chandelier. + reps

That's three plants, the light is full. One bit of advice; if you give plants an extended dark period prior to harvest, make sure you water before you shut it down, wilted plants are a real pain in the butt to trim!

These buds have all been washed in baking soda and lemon juice...then rinsed....R/O water.

I'm looking forward to the next two, they have the densest, best looking buds.

And I feel you on your next plants I only have my hbd left and she's a monster

Very nice MC I have to chuckle also seeing the buds hanging from the chandelier. My wife would not like that. she complains about the smell at harvest. You're getting reps for this buddy.
