Mcloadie's Second Grow Journal

They are looking good bro! probably just some temper mental seeds, they'll turn around!

And about that TLO by The Rev, OG1969 pointed me to this, I read a summary and ended up ordering it right then and there for 14 bucks on amazon.
Looks like some pretty damn good reading!! Im a damn information junkie though

I'm glad to see other people getting into TLO growing!!! Spread the word!! Lol. Have you got the book yet Ca215???

I looked into tlo a little, same principle I use, I'm not growing plants, I'm growing soil, soil grows plants. Homeboy who makes the soil I use incorporates this idea into all his products,,,,it's a whole frame of mind,,,,,,,a whole line of products that are applied very simply and are very effective. I am interested in reusing soil, I just gave away 10 bags of used soil, they say don't use it twice ...LOL

makes me wonder how a farmer keeps growing:hmmmm::)

Hows that fishy? Farmers? They have tractors with sensors on the front and nitrients on the back, the sensors tell what nutrients for the tractor to inject into the soil from the back of the tractor. Combined with crop rotation its very effective. But, with organic gardening you;re talking about tons and tons of amendments every time you grow a crop. I don't have the room to mess with used soil, or a lab to test it, I don't think they even have an ag extension here for free soil anylization.

I have picked out two big girls from the mexikush fems to reproduce and breed. Neither of these plants burned in the hot soil, and have stems as big as pencils at 6". They appear to be slightly different phenos, and will be bred with ch9 x pow33.

Excellent supercropping pics McL! You can see how well they have responded from the first break. :goodjob: +reps

Just a pinch between my cheek and gum gives m.........oops, I thought I was doin an ad for skoal. Well, back to GROWING........I just pulled all the plants from under the t5, cleaned their space, and applied liquid concentrate ( 3-3-3 ) at a rate of 4tbsp/gal, along with bug killer at 20tsp/gal. I coulda waited another day to water and feed, but the g nats were irritatin me and I felt like killing them all this morning. The young plants look good...rapid growth, this application is their first full dose of nutes. Plants in flower are great...one month til the first is ready. The mothers and cuts are doin really well, along with the seedlings. No complaints. As soon as my aerocloner parts get here I'm going to show how I made it, it shouldn't leak, and I'm adding a feature I've never seen on a homemade one....a timed mister that's situated in the dome to provide the foliage with moisture at timed intervals. Cuts are not difficult as long as you follow good fundamental practices. I've grown em about every way possible to show how easy it is, now I'm going for the quickest most efficient way. Have a nice day folks!:circle-of-love:

A Mister on the canopy is unnecessary overkill on a hydrocloner, I'm curious to see how it works out for you. But I personally think it will fail. I hope ull follow through just to see tho! I love being wrong. But inundate the cut with water top and bottom and it has no need to go looking for water. Again I'm probably wrong here lol. I hope to be

I can grow em in a wet rag if the top is getting misted. Plants don't "go looking for water" per say, scientific studies show that roots grow where water IS. I've seen the studies, and you can have roots 1 inch away from water, or moist soil, if it's dry where they're at, they wont grow toward the water. I just grew 24 by misting them quite often. In the dome, the idea is to keep em moist ( the foliage ) by misting the dome periodically. My Rh readings are above 90% Rh inside the dome, and it''s vented to allow some drying between misting cycles. My research says it will work...LOL...We'll see. My clones are getting misted now about every 15 minutes........soaked!, and they're drying in between mistings. I'm trying to make a more efficient system.

I get that. Its the only way I clone personally. Moist peat plug and mist the leaves every couple days. Are u cloning in an Aero type cloned or plugs? If ur in an Aero cloner I think the canopy mist will have more potential for adverse effects than beneficial one is all I was saying. When I was in an Aero the clones would limp out if the canopy was sprayed. Just my 2cents

Right on bro, and I appreciate your comments and anybody elses for that matter. I'm rooting in soil, in the open air, in 10% Rh, my cuts droop UNTIL I mist em, must be the Rh, if I let em go all day they'll die as that's the primary way that they are taking in moisture at this point through the process of transpiration. The plant is getting signals that it needs water and it dosen't have roots to get it, the acids in the stem are etching information on non designated cells to become root tissue cells, and sending them to the lowest portion of the plant according to the effects of gravity.

Hell in soil yeah buddy automated mist is the way to go for sure. I was under the.impression u used an Aero cloner for some reason lol.
