Mcloadie's Second Grow Journal

Hi Mcloadie! Looking good man! Do you have pics of how those dying plants look now? You're only giving water now? Could be the hot soil but hard to say without pics.

I'm not able to download photos right now, IDK why, but those plants took the hell OFF!!!! They are bustin out everywhere, I am giving em only water, transplanted into 2 gallon pots, same soil.....you won't beleive it if I can figure out whats wrong with my photo deal. I did take pics, it won't let me download em to my gallery. Thanks for askin bro!

Happy Birthday Big Dog, those plants look like they are well on their way. Hope you have a great day, month and year. Hope you are able to get your cloner up and running soon. I need someone with your skills to help me figure out wants wrong with my homemade aero cloner? Thinking the new tote has some weird chemical in it that the cuts dont like? We'll see.
Happy BDay brother

AZ made a cloner? hmmm I'll have to go back and look for it. Looking forward to yours McL :)

Mine is leaking and not having any luck stopping it so far.

I have a way to stop the leaking, I'll get you pics soon.

I tried a curtain, like 420fied, but it wouldn't hang strainght down. It was pointing inward and will hit the clones. I then tried some weather stripping around the rim. This would work if I clamped the lid down a little. I might go that route, or I might try a different curtain placement. I think it might just be the tote I chose. If I don't get it sorted out in the next couple days, I'll probably go get a different tote and make new holes.

What I'm doing is this; I made a rectangle out of 3/4 pvc, it's outside dimensions are large enough to clear the emitter manifold, and the cuttings, I screwed that to the lid, siliconed around it where it is screwed to the lid, all the way around. Then I took a thin piece of rubberized canvas, ran it aroud the pvc rectangle and screwed it to the outside of the pvc rectangle, to form a curtain and joined it where it overlaps 3/4 of an inch and screwed or fastened the overlap together. Now, you have a waterproof curtain. I'm working on the internal mister ( inside the clear dome lid ), I need to get a timed circuit built by my bro that will come on for 3 seconds every hour or so. I'll give better details when I put it all together and take pics. The skirt can't hit the cuts if it is large enough to go over the manifold, and it's impossible for it to leak around the lid of your tote.

get ready bro were going to get a heck of a storm

The farmers almanac said it was gonna be like that this year, I aint goin ridin...LOL! May 15 is gonna be outdoor start date for the locals...lol, I need to look at the calender and see what the moons are near that date, and get some research done on the effects of planting in conjunction with lunar phases. I'm buckled down for the storm!

Thanks. I like that idea.

I'm going to try making another curtain, just haven't had time. Had another fan break last night. Same thing as last time. This time I took the SoB apart and fixed it. :)

I may have screwed myself by trying to squeeze too many sites into one lid. I don't have room around the edge of the lid for what you did. It sounds like a great solution and would make the whole unit much sturdier. I've already considered that I may end up needing a new tote. At least I can reuse the rest of the parts, and I can use this tote to store extra rock or something. If I buy a new tote, I think I'm going to get a much larger one. I'd like to have at least 60 sites.
