MassMedMan's Greenhouse

Absolutely buries them. The bag decomposes almost completely by September. This is his third year doing this I thought they were too thick originally but he proved me wrong.

I still just dig a ditch. Lil drain rock, mushroom compost cheapest bulk soil I can get my hands on. Place plant in ditch walk away check randomly roughly once a week.

Unfortunately I'll only have time for my three Lil outdoor girls along my house. I'm gonna be very very busy growing soon.

Busy season will be 365 days a year now. I just signed our recreational license for 7000 Sq ft yesterday. Don't think I'm gonna put plants in odd random locations anymore. I will miss that a Lil though. Have a great day ranger. Stop by my journals sometime your knowledge is great.

For the record my last outdoors were extremely large and varied in location. We would lose about half to pests thieves or failure on our part watering. The rest would all get ran as oil. Been years since I focused on outdoor it was just easy ass oil which in turn was cash.

I knew there was a reason. Wasn't trying to criticize, MMM, just trying to sort it out in my mind.
This way is definitely an improvement over last time. I like to carry transplants to a site in an old 8-qt garden soil bag. They're sturdy, discrete and protect the plant. Good size to carry 1 big, or 2 smaller plants. After planting, roll up the bag & off you go. Very relaxed and casual.

You can criticize, I just didn't know at first what you meant. So, I can across defensive, then thought about it and responded again. No, worries. I'm learning as much as I'll doing my own thing. I think next year I'll do it differently. I had a couple ideas but I had so much going on I didn't get to it. Oh well. Got a couple more pots ready last night. I think I'll stick to three and see how it goes.... thanks everyone!

Thanks, Ranger. I'm not sure the path I'm on right now, but I'm just going with it. It's fun.

I hope to get more active with this thread the next few weeks as the weather is turning.

Forecast the next few nights have day temps in the mid to high sixties, and lows in upper forties. That'll work. I'll be mixing some soil today for my tomatoes,, the clover seeds I dropped on my garden a few weeks back has sprouted and when the light hits it right,, you can see a green haze on my garden....

Very excited to get my non 420 garden stuff going....

Thankfully I've had other things keeping me occupied ;)

Have a great day everyone!

Made up my soil for my tomatoes, the starter pots. Need to crush up some egg shells and add it to the mix. Family stuff today so I won't get as much as I hoped done... might hit 70 today!

Hey there MMM - I recognize that bag of soil there - the lobster compost!! How do you like that stuff?? I've got 2 bags sitting in my dining room waiting for me to do something with them. I bought them to mix an LOS soil container with I figured it was quality compost??

Anyways subb'd and looking to learn me some more good growing tips! The other reason is cause one of my neighbors has an outdoor greenhouse looks just like yours does .... Even has lights on at night .... I wonder if he's keeping a little green secret!?

Hey bobrown... not sure about the lobster compost this is my first run with it. I bet there are a lot of greenhouses out there that have something special growing in them. Nothing wrong with that, right. Be careful looking in his house, you might not find what you think ;) anyway, mines must one of the many....

Thanks for coming by. I'm nervous about starting my own tomatoes this year because I have so much vested into them.... But, I'm going to cross that bridge... Thanks for coming by, have a nice night!

Took a half day got some work done setting up my garden. The grunt work. Today was just the front half, 30 x 20 made my four thirty foot long raised beds. Still have to bury the hose, drop some ground cover,,

Little before;

And after, laying lines to make center of rows, digging rows, putting my soaker hose in all for front beds, put out twenty tomato cages, put nuisance fence up.... notice the pumpkin hill in the background,, now covered with leaves,,,, it's dark before it's light. ;)

Dropping seeds tonight, tomato, lettuce, eggplant, peppers, zucchini, squash, flowers... busy, busy

I'm kinda gonna copy this. But I have a 8ft diameter of used fox farm and ProMix maybe 50 cu ft. I'll just blend all that in. Wonder if that 5 yrds of chicken litter and that 3 yards of compost I got would be good any opinion.

Copy away, that's why I posted it. ;)

I could have made that hole larger, the one growing or that will be growing this year, that hole is much larger, about the same depth though.

I think that chicken Shit would be like nitro. I bet you could use that this year, I'm sure he's cooked it enough before you get it. I might be tempted to circle your mound with some of that chicken Shit gold. Couple nights ago I spread chikty do-do all over my garden and lawn.... between that and the bags of horse manure in my yard I bet my neighbors love me....

A video update in the greenhouse,,, finally some warm weather!! Thank you for watching, comments always welcome! :-)

Would you like some pumpkin seed? I have:

Weston: 1320 lbs.; 1150; 1072; 982; 924; 921; 662; and 568. Each packet has pedigree on it so these have the proven genetics for a big one. At least Big to me. To spring for the REALLY BIG ones you have to dig real deep in your pockets. Send me a PM and I will give you a list of the seed I have. I have tons. Sorry, no medical mj seed though. That has to be found/dug up from where they were buried/stored/hidden over 20 years ago.
