Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

You always see someone questioning size of tent, size of light, number of lights and type of lights. We need to establish these so any and all newbies will know the real answers.

1. Size - you will never have a large enough grow area be it a room, tent, or a structure it should be remembered the Wife and or Children will be happy in a closet they do not need much room unless you need the closet for a water tank then in the summer under the porch is quite comfortable.

2. Lights - You can never have too many, more is always better if your ceiling is 10 x 10 than your lights should be that big or larger you can always tilt the lights and fit more in.

3. Light size - Bigger is always better if the paint hasn't bubbled or the mylar melted then YOU NEED MORE LIGHT if the room is dimmer than the surface of the Sun GET BIGGER LIGHTS NOW!!!

4. Light Type - What ever is the newest even a color change of the case might make a HUGE difference. If Sara does not know your Visa by hart YOU NEED NEW LIGHTS, MANY NEW LIGHTS .......NOW!!! Just remember if there is no snow on the ground it is better if the wife / husband and children run around in only enough clothing to keep the Police away and shoes are over rated so toughen those feet up.

5. Plant Food and Supplements - Do you have more supplies than the local Hydro Store? If not rent that U-Haul and get with it STOCK THE SHELVES if it's made YOU NEED IT.......AND MMMMMMMMMMOREEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!! Do not worry about the Family they left months ago even though you have only missed them the last few weeks at water changes.

6. Make New Friends - Garden Gnomes, old Action Hero's and Stuffed Animals are the best listeners they hang out with the "GIRLS" and never talk about what you really do locked up in your house all day Wait.......What........OH....OK just got told you can not trust Unicorns they talk to much Thanks Iron Man!

Well I am done here, any and all questions have been answered the Universe is at Peace and all little plants are Happy-----But Wait remember the NUMBER ONE RULE........................I'm really just growing PEPPERS !!!!!:cough::cough:

:circle-of-love: Hi, CatfishKnight, sorry. I didn't receive it... Could you please send it to me again?:cheesygrinsmiley:
Sara did you get my reply to your pm a couple of days ago about my radio and the frequency of the FM Stations here in the US?

:)thanks for the correction, flyboy, I appreciate it very much. :thumb: I didn't add the condition " grow under led" to the key words. :slide:
That is only true if your temps are high enough to utilize the additional co2, in a hps that's up around 90f or so , under led that may go up to 95f or better , as I stated before I think you would have to worry about the LEDs getting to hot at that point and burning some out or worse. Since an LED grow needs to be around 82-84f to function optimally without co2 enrichment and looking at the difference between temps on an hps from normal 78f to enrichment at 90f or so , one might conclude that an LED to function optimally in a co2 enriched environment that the temps might need to be as high as 95f or so , I would think that's too hot for plants and lights , if you have good airflow through your garden and constant air exchanges your grow will be plentiful:)

:high-five: you are welcome, smokehog. It's our responsibility.:circle-of-love:
Thanks SmokeSara, I will take a picture and email it to you. It is defiantly the Led which has a problem as its the same strip of lights that have gone in less than 8 week. The light has the exactly same problem as last time. The full led board was changed as the driver was not the problem before and its the same again. The worse part is i am 4 week off a harvest and the light is buggered. Devastated is the word.

Thanks for helping SmokeSara

:circle-of-love: thanks for asking this question. I also want to know the answer.:cheesygrinsmiley:
Ok a Question for all the Growers who know all.... Lol.

How often are you watering under Led Lights.
So far my Pepper Plant needs watering about every 3 days...
How often will the Marijuana Plants last?
I have a moisture meter I put in to test the soil every evening.

Thank you Dennise. I like it to be specific.:thumb:
It kinda depends on where they are in growth.... In veg when they are growing a bit.... Sometimes it is every day.... Then it can slow down to twice a week.... Some strains are heavier feeders than others too.....:circle-of-love:

:thanks: thanks for the attention, we should avoid over-water as well as underwater. Both are not good thing.:Namaste:
Better water less frequently but WHEN you water, water them GOOD :) (A good rule is 1L water for 1gal of soil)
TBH, I'd even go so far and say the best (also for peppers) is to water them once they start wilting lightly because of under-watering.
Too much issues (most actually) come from because we over-water, over-feed etc. And those plants (MJ & peppers) LOVE when they get dry once in a while. So..in case of doubt...always better to wait one more day. This is what I learned so far.

WOW, Randy! haha, you take all into consideration.:laughtwo: have a lot fun to read this.:cheesygrinsmiley:
