Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:circle-of-love: this is best idea.:thumb:
So far with the FM Radio plugged into a different outlet with a emi/rf/noise surge protector it is working great. Yeah music in Grow Room again. Lol

Wow Jimmm!:yahoo: thank you very much for sharing these techniques in this thread.:thumb: It will help a lot new growers. It's very instructive.:thanks: You should start a journal.:cheesygrinsmiley:
Hello Sara! :circle-of-love:

I tell you what is wonderful, in my opinion, to see so many new growers. Snagging up Mars-Hydro LEDs. I am nearly two years with my Mars-Hydro lights. I have never a problem with my lights. I have three different lights including a Mars-Hydro 48x3 reflector model. I use that model for one week after putting seed into a Root Riot plug for seedling growth. Then that light goes over a small Kratky box growing 3 Chard and 3 Pak Choi plants. Winter greens in a month of growing. Google Kratky for more info on his technique. Normally his technique is used outdoors, in warm seasons. He is a college professor in Hawaii. He would not patent his method.

I get about a gram per watt with my Mars II 900 and my Mars II 700. I use the Hempy technique with 100% perlite in a 3 gallon bucket. No sign of any kind bugs ever. My light schedule is 20/4 and with the Autos it works wonders. I just use GH's FloraNova Drain to Waste feeding schedule and it works great. Don't forget to add the CaliMagic, especially under LEDs. And definitely with tomatoes to prevent Blossom End Rot.

I only grow Autos. Most recent is a World of Seeds - Wild Thailand Ryder. It is reputed to have one of the highest % of THC in the world. It is a Thai Landrace Sativa crossed with a Ruderalis. Unfortunately it is too powerful for me. Sativa overdose I have been told. Have to add an Indica to the oil. If you want to try an Auto, I suggest this one. 70 days from seed to harvest. Twelve ounces from one plant is a nice amount of medicine. Naturally, your results may vary. Especially if you grow in dirt.

Hydro is the way to grow anything, in my opinion. From lettuce to tomatoes to cannabis, indoors or out. My tomatoes grow in a recycling Hempy system outdoors and in a tent indoors during winter, I use "indeterminate" varieties of tomatoes and just move them outside when the weather warms. Basil and other herbs go wild in Hempy. Just make sure to use perlite as your growing media. I buy 5 gallon paint strainers from hom-edepot and put one bag in the 3 gallon bucket with a 5/8" hole drilled in the side centered 2-3/4" up from the bucket bottom for a reservoir, and then I fill it with perlite, then put the Root Riot plug with the seedling into the perlite. Make sure to pour the water/nutes on the plug to make sure the roots grow down to the reservoir quickly. The net bag makes clean-up easy too. I even re-use the perlite and net bag after drying, cleaning and removing the hair like roots. You newbies might want to try the easiest and most productive growing method out there. Hempy.

Good Luck to all! :goodluck:

that's great, noobie:Namaste: Hope you will love them.:cheertwo:
Thank you, I already placed the order on Friday, maybe I will get them soon to update my journal.

I have zero skills. So I have to say if you can't grow under LED, you have other issues.

some amazing updates today :circle-of-love: i love Mars Hydro and love seeing others having results like mine!!

There's a Ham band that covers that freq it's the 420 to 450mhz (70cm) band and the Police freqs are near it at 450 to 470mhz in many areas of the US.

:circle-of-love: hi flexy, it's not IR remotes. IR is 38kHZ. Our remote controller is international standard with 433MHZ and adopts 2.4G high-frequency wireless technology. I think we should find out the frequency of the radio in the states.:high-five:

No, please, not modern, some of us old folks can barely figure out dip switches, let alone the timers on our VHS.

2.4gh spectrum switching is even easier to setup then dip switches. Hold the button on the transmitter end while you turn the receiver on and they are linked. They will not interfere with any thing else. We can fly 1000's of planes or helis at the same time with out conflicts. :) :peace:

I programmed my (3) Cree128 for the Sun Rise and Sun Set.
I started out with the Reds in % slowly increasing for the First hour then started adding the Blue/White to slowly increase up to 100% brightness.
Then after about 4 hours to reach 100%, they are both on at 100% for the next 8 hours.
Then I reverse those % for the Sun Set for the next 4 hours for the Sun Set to end in Red %, for a total of 16 hours of light.
Then 8 hours of darkness.
How long do you guys do the Sun Rise to full 100% brightness? And do you reverse that for Sun Set?

An hour on mine , start at 10% red , no blue/white and then go up over the next hour adding full spectrum as it goes to full brightness, the last hour is dimming slowly and ending with 10% red .

Wife and I are almost done. Whew.. Brought in the Scorpion Pepper Plant for a trail run for a couple weeks before growing the good stuff.

So Catfish do you get the high some claim when you eat your Scorpion's ?
I tend to fade off to Never Never Land after Douglah's but I think it's my body just glad it's over.
My peppers seem to like the light a bit higher than " The Good Stuff " my 900 Mars 2 would burn them so I can only imagine what the Cree will do

:thanks: thanks for sharing with us, gudyul. Congrats! I believe you will achieve more in the next running.:Namaste:
what she said , i would like to see the Hempy in action.
