Under a Mars ll 900W. Beautiful arent they? :)

Hi Browneyes, I have learned an enormous amount from the contributors of this thread and am an owner of a single 700 watt panel. My actual experience with growing is quite limited, but having read a great many threads on 420 I have noticed that the GPW discussion concerning the HPS v LED people is often very confused by the fact that although a LED panel is rated at "X" watts, the arithmatic associated with the whole GPW thing should be calculated using actual watts, which are generally about half the rated watts of the given panel, for example a 700 watt panel being run on 240v would output about 380 watts real power (apparently this has something to do with how hard the individual LED's are driven). Having done the GPW maths this way, the yeild numbers are more fairly represented.
I hope that my comments are not missunderstood as interference in any way, I just don't think that LED's are generally represented well in regard to their yeilds, my experience has been very positive since I started learning about growing at all, let alone indoors and although my GPW numbers would be cosidered pitiful by some, they are increasing with every grow as i learn about the plant and it's relationship to my ever improving grow environment.
Hope this hepls dude, also, Mars Hydro, once you account for time, language and culture differneces seem to be one of the few companies I have found that understand they are what they are because of the customer base, and thus far, I have found their product and service to be far from a bottom shelf effort.

ok, so is it just me or does anyone's new 5w leds look dim sorta??..(not the reflector series!)..i just put up one of my newly purchased 60x5 led's and it looks bluish than the normal pinkish/redish glow....also when i look at led's themselves, some of the led's appear to have a very light green color from 6-10 led's...?????! This panel does not put off that same pinkish glow, more looks like daylight cfl's...Is this a defect or what! plants seem to not have responded to light as of yet..been under the light for 2 days since switching from 150hps. what do you think sara? if th

:passitleft: High Browneyes and I'm not used to the British dryness either so take it easy on me and I am only trying to help.... I grow under both all the reflector light the 48x3w, 96x3w and 144x5w and I also grow under 2 Mars II 400's vs using just one Mars II 800 because you can move them around for better coverage IMO this way but anyhow... You are more than welcome to check my journal as it is over 500 pages long and has from beginning to finish with all final weights of about 4 grows... Again I know it is not exactly what you are asking for but you will see until recently I didn't even have an exhaust fan at all and never had an issue.... I have never grown under anything but LED but I know there is not near the heat issue nor do you have to replace expensive bulbs or run any type of ballast.... I have gotten over a gram per actual watt on several plants and on some not... I got 3.2 ounces off a auto Pineapple Express under a 48x3w reflector but some have been far less.... as stated above it has so many other factors... and how you grow is the largest one.... I love my lights and have gotten over 20 of them from Sara over the last 2 years and I have not had a single problem with one of them and the customer service is beyond reproach.... I hope that helps you in some way and if you do decide to go with M-H I think you will be pleased.....:circle-of-love:

thank u very much dennise for the responce:)
ill go and have a good read of ure journal and jump back here once im done:) thanks again
500 pages jeez:p:p wish me luck lol

ooh yeah i wouldnt base gpw numbers off the 1200w or 1600w as u say i would base the 1200w on 520w and the 1600w on 720w
the problem i have is my rooms is running smooth right now but its too noisey with cooling fans running full speed and im nervious about not seeing any larger scale grows running mars 5w leds
wot ill do is get a pic of my grow room up in a bit and see if anyone runs like i do with leds

Tested temperature grow room 2 days ago with hps 400w HPS and the reflector 300w together, temp was 36.2° C approx (hot weather outside)

When mars2 700w arrived, replaced the HPS, and temp stays now 6-7 degrees lower :high-five:

Added 2nd fan under led to see if temp can hold 28-30°C- day3 flowering :circle-of-love: :cheer:

some impressive pics starting to show up on this thread :circle-of-love:

So the plants in the vid are yellowing badly because of my error of underfeeding my plants in soil but i still wanted to post so people can see what the potential of the lights are. im still learning so for a new grower i think the lights are doing great :circle-of-love:

I sent her a PM too, couple days ago now. I ordered on the 12th and I still don't have a tracking number. I was excited for this product at first but between the few negative I've read to the hasn't been shipped yet, I'm have second thoughts for now. I feel like I've floated 530$ lol.

Don't worry Yoda

Some people get there lights before they do the tracking number. Depends on where they live. I live in Canada and had my light before I even thought about a tracking number.

Do you recall how long you received the product after placing order celt? I placed mine on the 12 and am still waiting. I also reside in Canada, southern Ontario.

Hello Munchies, I believe Lucy has given you the tracking numbers now. :circle-of-love: Sorry for the late reply, we just finished our three days holiday back . :circle-of-love:
Sara,

I am really getting fed up with this, today is Friday in the USA. As I told you last time if my replacement light is not sent out by today I want a refund of my $440.
I emailed Lucy last night which she responded " just got to office, send you tracking number later".....well there was nothing sent later.. I can't wait for this light anymore...if I don't get proof it was sent out today I either expect a refund or I will be disputing the charge with my bank.

Hello SmokingYoda, have you received the tracking numbers now? :circle-of-love: If you order on 19th, the light might not been shipped out during the weekend, my colleague might arranged it on Monday, so please wait patiently for the tracking number :circle-of-love: If you still not get it in next 24 hours, please tell me your order number so I can check it for you. :high-five:
Hi Sara, I still have not received my tracking number. I sent you a PM on this forum. Pay pal took my money from my account I believe the 12. Today is the 20th. I've been told my product has been shipped and I've also been told it hasn't. I could definitely use some help in figuring out the tracking number and if my stuff has even been shipped thanks again for the help
