Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Hello, i have a problem and i would like your input. Recently i was given 4 autoflowers that had been growing under a 600w hps. They have grown in high temps, the lowest being about 85F. My room has high temps too, they can reach up to 90F. I have the option of putting them under 600w hps again or under the leds. I have read that LEDS don't emit radiant heat, so it goes without saying that buds would be better under them.

But i have the question: Would the transition from hps to led stress the plants? They are 60 days since germination and are expected to finish in 30 the most. I wanna put them under the leds thinking that they will receive less heat and have better buds. But i don't want to turn this advantage to disadvantage if they are to be stressed, losing valuable time. Any thoughts? Here are three pics, you can also see a 200w cfl 6400k i have put to help them with side lighting. For now they are sitting under air-cooled 600w hps. I also took 2 macro photos checking my mobile's camera.

Yes Sara, you are right, i am also doing mistakes, we are humans, but i always give to my customers some extra for mistake happen (discount for next deal, free bonuses, etc..) and no telling nonsenses like compensation in future (if i already lost customer and money), that will never come or that nobody remember.....this is really no responsible behavior...but its your bussines and i am not the one who should tell you what to do...your future bizz is fully at your hands...When i will come back from my surgery, i will check if the lights you send mistakenly were sold or not. If not, i am sending back to you because i really dont want old model for that money to lay on my shelf....Lucy promised to send here customers from Czech that will demand this old model, if anybody will come, i will sell him for same price like you sold to me (just to sell them fast as possible)....I am really unhappy from all this trouble.....i would also expect distribution prices you have for EU for our next deal..you are selling me same price like to customers with one light in order, not good for future bizzz

Dear DrVoo, we are human, and no human is perfect, I believe you also make mistakes too. We will learn from the mistakes and compensate in the future. :Namaste:

wow, Kriaze, I saw our lights have green spectrum in it, and every other color seems different too, How do you make it? haha :cheesygrinsmiley: :hookah:

The lights are factory standard, is this different than your usual ones that you ship? I just assumed that they were all the same unless someone specifically asked for a custom build. Maybe someone out their is scratching their head wondering where their light is but I'm not keen on green now you mention it xD

lostreas, I can't see any harm in switching to LED now. Just introduce them to the light gently, starting by hanging the light 24-30" above, then work your way lower slowly and see how the plants react. I'm pretty sure your plants will love the LED's over the heat from the HPS. I had the same problems on my first grow with HPS and when I switched it out for LED my plants really thanked me for it ;) All the best and good luck with your grow :thumb:

hey sara,

Sorry but I need to get you involved again with my situation.

If you remember i ordered 2 144x5 Reflector series that i had to send back for replacements, I sent my package with one day shipping and insurance, it was scheduled to be delivered on 6/12/15 (usa). I haven't received any conformation of you guys getting the package. Nor anything about sending out my replacement light. It's been nearly 4 weeks since you have received my payment and i still don't have a working product from you.

I've already told Lucy that if it's not sent out by the end of this week that i need a refund. I can't let this $400+ payment burn a hole in my pocket any longer.

:trance:

i switched from TL to led to HPI and now back to led until harvest , plants are doing good. :surf:

--------------------------------
with 250w HPI it was 30°-32°C, with 300w led its 23°-25°C
With the 700w led together it should be 4°- 6°C more suppose (27°-29°C)

Sara,
I received my new 144x5 Reflector LED and have been using it for a few days. My plants love it as they are 8 degrees Fahrenheit cooler, still thiving and growing as they were, and the electrical draw is running at 327 watts. I just wanted to let you and others know that the Mars Hydro LED is a well built and useful unit. Very quiet, very cool, and electrically efficient. It's a little scary to drop a chunk of money on a new technology where conflicting information is everywhere one investigates. A green thumbs up for good value from Mars Hydro. Thanks for your assistance Sara

Hey,
I ordered a MARS II 400w yesterday and it was delivered today!!
Great lights so far!!

However same as Kriaze I have green spectrum in my light?! Why is this ?

^^ Never mind I think the green is a trick of the light, there are no green LEDS in it. Not to worry.

Thanks

TRD

35gpw? Grams per watt? Thought you meant watts/sq ft, but you're around 20w/sq ft by my math. Just wondering what you meant.

Think u missed something...I did say my 2nd light....
One 60x5=300w ea with a power draw of 150avg watts ea.
That 2x equals 300w power draw for both lights...
My tent, 2.8" x 2.8" = 5.6sf x 35gpw = 196w needed for my space...so with 2 60x5 mars leds giving me a total power draw of around 300 true watts, I think i'm sitting pretty!!:bravo:
PLUS, better penetration than 48x3 and cost around $20 less ea :cheesygrinsmiley:;)...

:cheer::cheer:Morning Celt. :circle-of-love: very nice to see this in the morning, haha
Morning everyone

High lostreas, you are doing a great job with your HPS, :thumb: but don't worry, it is okay to change to LEDs, your plants will love it. Just don't forget to give more cal and mag to your plants, :circle-of-love:

I believe it is some resolution ratio of different phone and computer that makes the light color look differently :circle-of-love: Don't worry, all of our standard spectrum lights are using the same chips, cannot be different that much, lol :cheesygrinsmiley:
