Hope you will get your light tomorrow,if not, please feel free to let me know, I would like to help you.
I am excellent. I'm missing my tent but I have my outdoor started with little babies popping up. I promised the wifey I would shut the tent down for most of the summer and a deal is a deal. The good news is I'm upgrading to a 2x4 in August so... I'll be needing another 400. . I can't wait, in the meantime I have some seedlings to worry about. I figure for about $350 I can double my space and cover the months I'm not growing indoors. I can't wait. I love this hobby SO much.
Thank you SweetHeart... and I'm sure what ever all that says it is really good info... but I'm a blonde all the way to the roots and to be honest.... I didn't understand a word of it but KJC says 86 is the optimal temp and if King says it... I believe it... and that makes it so.........
Sara - I have a quick question for you. I have one "Old Model" 100x3w and one Reflector Model 96x3w, and I'm wondering if there is any differences in the types of LED chips used between those models?
Thanks for you great support -
Thanks for that good information!
I tried to do that first thing, actually, and I was not able to slide it open because of the switches. How did you get the cover to slide past the on/off switches?
At least on mine, the switches don't obstruct the opening of the top cover in any conceivable way.
That would imply that the inside has open cut-outs where the switches are? From the outside it looks like the switches run straight through circular openings in both cases, but I could be wrong about that, the other way would actually make more sense. I'll try again. I saved piece that fell off, even caught the little washer. A drop of Loctite on the screw and that shouldn't happen again... if I can get in there.
Of course, it would seem that I'm losing my warranty by doing this?
Mars Hydro has you fix there units as it is easier for everyone. I'm not Mars Hydro.. But it will not void your warranty.
As long as they know that you are doing this and obviously they do... it will not void your warranty... as Wahtoogee stated it is the most cost effective way for such an easy fix.....
Maybe when you get it open and put it back together a little Loctite wouldn't hurt. Just don't use the RED Loctite! Maybe Mars could start putting Loctite on those parts anyways, this is not the first I've heard about those nuts coming loose.
