Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I will talk with boss about the new policy when the light come out.:)
Will upgrade kits be available for Mars II owners? I'd like to upgrade my 700 and 900 to be dimmable and adjustable. How about it Sara?

I will check tomorrow morning when I am in office, too busy, can not remember new information these days, haha, please forgive me :Namaste:
I too am curious if daisy chaining is going to be done, maybe just not on the prototypes yet...... Sara, input?

As to the new product, we hope to release next month, but I think only pre order, and we are not sure when we can ship out. becuase once we confirm make it, we need to confirm with raw material supplier to prepare enough materials for us, then we begin, it needs some time. :circle-of-love:

ah, I forgot one thing.if you want mars II 400w mars II 700w and mars II 900 recently, please wait untill 28th this month, maybe we can give some discount, I am talking with boss. we have them stock in AU,UK and US, so we can give some discount maybe.

I think it would be great if the Mars II's had an on/off switch.

Also would it be possible for the 4 brass hanger attachments on the back to be placed in the corners instead of in the middle, this would mean being able to hang the light square instead of in a diamond.

Other than these 2 things, I think they are perfect. Even without the removable lens, I just take the light down, clean it, put it back up again.

Personally, I don't see the point of making them dimable or remote controllable, just more stuff that can go wrong. The more light the better IMO and if you want to decrease the intensity for some reason you can always move the light further away.

On a different note.

The results from my recent harvest are in, flowered under Mars II LED....

how you hope to change it? please let us know if that is ok. we just want to improve lumens output, so we try our best to lose less. led chip protect well now, and you can clean it easier, beam angle is 90degree:)

Sara theres no way to put a piece of clear glass over it like the Mars lights have? Did it reduce the lumens output of the Mars with the glass over it? I just wish it was protected more is all :thanks:

Sara, FedEx wanted me to pay $31.95 for release of package which of course I refused, they could not have delivered it to me anyway. FedEx usually refuses a package with only box number with no street address. You should ask for your money back Sara.
The tracking number is working for EMS, things are looking up.

I can't move my lights further away as I'm growing in a small tent. As it is, I had to make brackets for my lights to gain the 16" of hanger space required by the stock cables. Currently, most growers are using completely flat lighting, all sitting in one plane, putting out maximal light with an unchanging spectrum throughout the photo period. I believe there's massive potential gains to be had by using photons more intelligently.

Using the existing $30 controllers, protocols and electronics (cheap enough to go in a $25, 3 color LED bulb) may make it practical for MH to add useful features to their products without having to do a lot of custom R&D. My parents didn't see the point of spending money on a TV remote, either. Until their new TV came with one. I still remember my dad asking the sales guy if he could get the TV cheaper without the remote control because he didn't need it. He told the guy; "That's what kids are for." :)

What was your yield per square meter? I'm also interested in how many watts (true) of LED lighting per square m you are using in your tents. It looks like you had a very successful grow using these lights.

:thanks:

Hello Robert, thank you . I am not sure if we can get the money back, thats the wrong value. we can refuse to pay I think. but I will wait email from FEDEX.

yes, we can put glass, but it will reduce the lumens output. so we change led sodering and improve lumens output.

My Reflector 96x3 is hung and powered up, within 5 days of clicking "buy" on the website. Great service, I'm excited to get started!
