Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Hey Sara,

I hope you don’t mind, but I would like to take a second to invite everyone who doesn’t already, to my current journal. The light schedule flips on Sunday. It should be a whole lot of fun as it will be my first time flowering photo plants.

I’ve got two large plants and potentially 4 small ones in a 5x5 tent under a 1200w MARS II TOPLed 1 plant is in an DIY EnF hydro system. The rest are in Super Soil.

So please, if you have time, and a mind to, stop on by the journal. Below is a link to my newest post, a quick re-cap of the grow so you don’t have to read 37 pages just to get caught up, you can just look at the pictures

Other than I am a she yes you can see both lights in my current journal... the bottom one in my signature. The Green XXXXX is under a Mars II and the Skunk Afghani is in the closet under a 3w reflector so you can see them both in the same journal. They were both put 12/12 43 days ago and I did an update on the Green xxxxx under the Mars yesterday and will be updating the Skunk Afghani later today. I also have a Wild Thai clone and and auto White Widow under the 3w reflectors in veg.......

thats what i was thinking but i wanted to know exactly what that liquid is. never seen it set up like that and it looks like it is cheap and replaceable without all that garbage the other traps bring. something i am interested in

There is one thing which confused me.
What do you mean by "express company"?
(In my country an express company is a company which transports only very big and very heavy things like a grand piano with a truck. So do you mean you use an express company to send the parcel to your local post office and then additionally chose a shipping company to send it to me? Makes no sense, so I guess I misunderstood)

If you ment only "shipping company" like UPS or so:
Yes, of course they will charge a bit. This is how it normally works... lol.

And yes, at my land's border the customs office will open the parcel, take a look if the content is dangerous or illegal (which it isn't) then they look at the bill and charge: (product price + shipping) x 25%

Concerning your "record" statement:
If I order from China directly my country's post office records: Your company -> my name & adress
If I order from warehouse my country's post office records: Your company's warehouse -> my name & adress.
So what the difference?

I will just ask somebody I know to make the order and give him the money - "record" problem solved anyway.

I am thankful that you reply to every person who asks questions, even to the people who ask iconvenient questions like me ;-)

We ship from China, yes, you can save some on shipping cost, but you need to pay duties and service fee. express company will charge you . it is also the same as we ship from UK. we ship from UK, customs will not check you. if we ship from China, customs will check your information. you have record at your customs. do you want it? we are taking dangerous to stock in UK, if you prefer us to ship from China, we can cancel stock in UK. but from our experience, we get more troubles if we ship from China.

I tried to make a purchase from topledgrowlight, the price for the product was fine however, they were unable to provide me with CLEAR instructions on who to make out the Western Union Money Order to and where to exactly mail it. They wanted a control number & a BMT number and the list goes on & on SO, sorry but I had to cancel order. 420 Magazine I feel needs to know one of their sponsors is not very user friendly to order product from. yes, I was given that at first. I don't want to send it "overseas" so I searched your site for more info & I found out that you have a distribution center in the USA located at: 1937 Davis Street Ste. B Unit 31 in San Leandro, CA 94577. I emailed you my order number & you said it came back as "pending" then you state "U tried to pay it use the west union, could u please give u your MTCN (money transfer control number) if u have paid." OK, I bought a Western Union Money Order for the purchase price so, yes I paid. I was not sure what exactly you figure is the MTCN so I sent you the number on the money order from the top right corner on the money order. Then you also request a "BTW" I have no idea what a BTW is!! Then you continue to say "BTW, the attachment is our west union address, could u please check it if u paid to this address. because we need to confirm with u if u have paid the right. If not can't pay it now, we can send an invoice to u , u can pay it use your credit card or visa."

WOW, after your request for the BTW there is not an "attachment" the rest is God only knows what until you inform me I could pay with my credit card or visa. If I wanted to pay with my credit card (& visa is also a credit card) I would have when I ordered it. I wanted to pay for it by using a Western Union money order so I went to the store and purchased a Western Union money order. That is when I emailed you all the information you requested including what I ordered info which was LG-GO3A100LED; LED GROW LIGHT 100x3. you then reply with another email with the same confusing data. that is when I emailed you back with the following message: "Dear Sara: this is too complicated & confusing with this control number & that BTW etc, etc,etc. so I'm canceling my rder & I'm willing to pay more for what I need with much less hassle from a different retailer in the USA. Thanks for your reply I do appreciate it even though is still confusing." It is confusing because you do not understand what I wanted to do I wanted to send the money order I have already bought and send it to the USA, California address. I still do not know if I can do that!! Now, I'm not willing to take any chance sending my money order any where for fear I will not get my grow light.

why not PayPal ? that's how I did mine ,PP you don't need to sign up to use your credit card but you might as well as then you can feel easier with buying from china the PayPal purchase protection offered to buyers if help if there is an issue with delivery &/or the unit not working outta the box . PayPal always sides with the buyer in most issues

I really don't know what else to say. Their website lists them as a paypal verified business. Paypal offers buyer protection.
Furthermore, they're not only a 420 Magazine sponsor, but there are countless members here who have ordered and received their lights and have posted journals using the lights they have purchased from them.

Even if their distribution warehouse was equipped to accept payments, they would have forwarded your payment overseas anyways, so I don't see the difference between sending your payment to TopLED in China, and sending your payment to a middleman in the USA, who then forwards it to TopLED in China. It's the same thing.

They have also been a forum sponsor for at least a year now, and have a great reputation in the 420 Magazine community.
