Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

On our website, we always advise customers to dim the light instead of the height, so as to save more electricity costs. You‘re right, otherwise there is no sense in designing a dimmer
I do appreciate but I notice it's not my light.. Maybe there all the same par value at those heights with brightness turned at those percentages? It would be nice if there were a few graph charts on my specific light so I could drop that baby down on my plants at 12-16 inches and know where I should turn my light down too. I believe you should be able to veg with dimmer without using 75%. I bet I could adequately veg plants at 50% if I knew what hight at 50%. Man I really don't want to buy expensive meter.

it's easy to work with a dimmer. there's no hard and fast rules. you can use multiple combinations of height and dimming depending on your own personal grow style. most folk feel it out over a couple grows. there really is no manual.

Chopped black cherry punch today. I always puff while harvesting. When I chop a branch and get a big whiff of terpenes I get extra stoned. Like I better sit down for a while type stuff.
Enjoy this new year's gift

We were on vacation by the sea recently and the response was not very timely, please forgive me. I hope you also have a wonderful New Year holiday

Hi All

Hoping to get some information. I have a small 2'x4' tent that I had some great grows with over the past couple of years. I have two Mars II 700s which I have been really happy with. Based on the PAR diagram the plants are getting plenty of light.

The Mars II is discontinued now and I was wondering if it is worth upgrading at this point. My question is, what would the advantage be in getting say a TSL 2000? Would this be less light overall than the 2 Mars II 700s? Are there other advantages with the newer lights?

Thanks for any help.
