Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

the sp 250 and the tsl 2000 covers the same growing area but tsl 2000 is 300w vs sp250 at 245w - both have the extension cords for moving drivers outside of tent? $10 difference - the tsl 2000 is a better light for the extra wattage? or they about the same?
Hi Billy, they both uses 684pcs of led, same amount, but SP 250 puts the chips more closer, better penetration and using meanwell driver, and thicker heatsink, thus the SP 250 is higher price. TSL 2000 chips wider, so the coverage actually will be a little bigger, and it uses two drivers, so it can be adjust higher wattage than SP 250; While for the PPE, SP 250 is higher than TSL, so you can consider that SP 250 can save a little more energy than TSL 2000.

I will back on your Sunday evening and I hope to get the new activity news for you soon,. :green_heart:

Thank you old salt for the input as well, how is growing recently? :green_heart:

I haven't been able to give it the attention I want. Here are the plants today. The plant in the pot is slated for the Mars Hydro 3' X 3' tent and TSW-2000.

Granddaddy Purple (Seeds Planted Aug 31) Under Mars Hydro TSL-2000

The well went dry. We had it filled with water. Every faucet, and the hot water coil for the house was plugged by the dirt in the water. I'm almost finished fixing the plumbing. I've installed a filter so that this can't happen again. There's only the hot water for the kitchen left to repair now. I'm also putting in a rainwater collection system so we won't run out of water in the future.

That is why I love this community:420:, everyone is so nice and helpful for each other. I learnd a lot from this site as well. :circle-of-love:
For the red lights you mean , is it only flower spectrum that are mainly red chips? :ganjamon: We will try to upgrade our current full spectrum to be more suitable for flowering, but since not too much clients will need the special spectrum, we usually only accept customize during our slow season, when factory is not that busy. :bong: But thank you as well for the kind advice.
Thanks for the info Sara. I am only repeating what I have read about the red spectrum. It is supposed to help with bud development. A friend has lent me two 4 foot florescent style fixtures with a 54 watt red spectrum bulb in each. I have added them to the tent, one next to each sp250. Added a few degrees of heat but it's getting cold here fast so not a problem. I know it's not a great idea to change things in the middle of the grow especially when you are new to the game but I am an impatient person by nature so finishing with just the 250s would be smart just for the baseline knowledge but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the red lights.
Again, thanks to all who have helped by contributing. It's great to have a place to come to ask questions. Even if they are noobie ones...and not get flamed...

Hi Budlite, thank you for the advice again. :D We will definitely consider the red spectrum. Although the mostly possible chance will be only add more red in our spectrum, :green_heart: Please feel free to share your idea and growing around in future as well, and I hope everyone can grow great with our lights. :ganjamon:

I would like to ask the members growing in tents using Mars lights what your temps are? Lights on? Lights off? Ambient temp of room the tent is in? Just to compare to what I am seeing. I know fans, ventilation, make a huge difference but just want to know what temps people are seeing and being successful with their set up. I am running from 77 to 81 with my set up with the lights on. Low 70's with the lights off., pretty much the same as the area the tents in. purchased a new dehumidifier and have kept the RH under 60. Looking forward to the replys. Thanks.
