Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

OMG it is flowering after a weekend time! First time grower, sooo excited! Please feel free to give some comment! :circle-of-love::circle-of-love::circle-of-love:

Lowered my sp250 from 30" above down to 24" above last night just before lights on.
The plants really seemed to like it. Ill give it about a week then go down to 18".

I would be cautious about lowering your light 6” at a time! That’s a huge jump for them to respond to. Usually when I Lower my lights it’s about 2” at a time and let them adjust for a few days and lower again.
This is just how I do things though!!

Lol ok well they seemed to have endured the jump down quite well. I will be more cautious about it moving fwd. Thanks Dutch

At 30” to 24” that’s not to bad but going below 24” at a quick drop like 6” at a time that may cause some light stress pretty quickly! In flower I would push your girls to get the lights around 16”. With my experience so far with the SP series I could push them to about 14-15” (IN FLOWER) before I noticed any stress and this was with 2x SP-150s on at once. This round I’ll be running 3x SP-150s come flowering which I’ll start around 18”!!

That what we always recommend as well, but as long as the baby can adapt to it, then everthing will be fine. :circle-of-love:

Thanks Dutch, have you seen my previous picture of the flowering? Can you give me some comment? Thank you in advance.

From just that picture it looks like she is well on her way with no problems! She’s just starting to push out the trichomes as well so keep doing what your doing!
