Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Part 1 of my battle plan was the amazing diatomaceous earth powder. I spread it all over the plant canopy, both over and underside of the leaves and the buds as well. Also spread it all over the floor in the room. 24 hours later I could no longer see any living spider-mites. Left it on the plants for a while so it could kill off the mites as the eggs hatch.

Quick question for the LED vets: Is it too early to lower my light to 24"? It's a mars pro II 80 and these 2 are all I have under it.

Only had the new setup for a day and I'm trying to get everything tuned in.

If it were me, I would probably wait till you have a couple sets of leaves. You won't hurt the little ones by being too far, but you can if you are too close. :circle-of-love::peace:

I usually keep the lamps that low from day one. But it differs from strain to strain how light sensitive they are. I for example have a white widow phenotype that will get light bleeched if lights are kept that close during flowering. So it's really a try and fail thing

Actually - After your warranty ends, you can still buy spare parts from Mars-Hydro. They have a full list on their homepage with prices and everything. You find the entire list here: Mars , Led grow light , Mars Hydro

Hydroponic system, DWC? I heard that plants grow noticeably faster in DWC during vegetative stage than they do in coco coir or soil.

Oh - I replied to the wrong message. My reply was to TorturedSoul

There is another part of the Mars-Hydro warranty service most people probably don't know about. If one of your lights breaks in the middle of a grow, Mars-Hydro can send you a backup light while your light is being repaired. That's a really good service as you will be able to save your harvest. After your lamp is repaired, you have one week to return the backup lamp they send you. Never heard about any other companies doing that

Different strains of plants have different demands for light, some are very sensitive with light. You can wait another few days :Namaste:

A little far might better than close for young plants, because that won't cause the leaves burn. after all seeds are not cheap right?

Keep it up some. If they really start to stretch as they get bigger start to lower it a little every few days keeping a eye on her leaves. Any sign of leaf burn raise it back up some

Agreed, I heard some are more sensitive to light, would like keep the lamps a little further

Yeah, this is our new warranty policy:high-five:We had some customers said that their lamps have issues need to repair, their plants in deep flowering, cannot leave lights, but they can't repair the light by themselves and can't find someone else help him:Namaste: So we think about this solutions. hope our growers can repair their light asap and at the same time the plants won't affected by light:circle-of-love:

I am very interested in buying mars ... but i dont know wich lamp is the most effective in my room!! I have a 2x2x5 ft room whit 123 cfm extractor... i am currently running 200w cfl!!!

Should i go whit the pro 2 epistar 120 ? Its writed the coverage is only 2x1.5ft...

Or should i go whit the mars 2 400? Wich have 2.5x2.5

Or maybe the mars 2 700??

I dont really care about the price i just want the best for my room!!

Thanks :)
