Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

K problem solved on my power cord. Now just about 8 leds are giving out light but it looks as if the bulb on it is popped. No pic yet but can confirm later

each to their own and mine to smoke

Hmmmm I guess start with a reflector48 but would cover about 20" in flower so more side lighting is required. Possibly throw a few cfls around the edges or maybe 2 of them. Something taller would be better mine is 55". I got a mars series 2 400w in there and my floor is 2x2.

Where would you recommend purchase of said product. Also, what strain would you recommend in such short environment. Should I auto and top? Since it's my first and I have little knowledge of nutrients and such I was thinking of using promix soil.

I would train/ tie them down a bit if autos. For fems I would top and train down to keep them short. For nutrients I would recommend Biobizz or Plagron or any other organic nutrient designed for cannabis (organic ones are easier to use IMO). There is also organic slow time release pellets you can use from either Aptus or Biotabs. Also you should pick up some kind of cal/mag when growing under leds they sometimes need more since there is less radiant heat and uptake is slower so more is required. As for the tent you can either cut cost and order a cheaper one from eBay or I know that mars carries ones that are 2' 3'' x2' 3'' x5' 3'' which would work fine with a series 2 400w or even a series 2 700w they can be found right on the Mars web site ($82 or tent and 400w combo for $250). I found my tent at a local shop for $50. For strains to keep them short I would pick a Indica dominate they tend to stretch less during initial flowering when compared to sativas.
And welcome to the forum man any other questions ask away :)

Depends on where you are man. The sponsors on the site see to be really reliable but I personally ever order anything online I'm in Spain so I go directly to the banks/breeder. The sponsor page can be found here also has a link to the main mars Hydro site.

I'm grateful to be able to buy on-line but that would be awesome to be able to visit the seed banks/breeders in person.

Yeah normally I go to Alchimia (also Philosopher seeds) for seeds but been to load of others. Even went to sweet seeds a few times but it's a bit far :) Like a 2h drive

To be honest I wouldn't want to buy online who knows what conditions them seeds go threw on there way to ya (ie: hot trunks, cold trucks, ect. ect.) I was thinking next time I go I'm gonna see if I can get a chance to go through the grow area again and see if I can snag a few photos for everyone normally no pics are allowed it's quiet impressive.

Cannabis seeds (as well as most other plant seeds) are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, be frozen, etc. Short of being crushed in the mail, nothing is going to happen during shipping that can hurt seeds. I live in a region of extreme temperatures (+30 C in summer and -30 C in winter), and I've left seeds in a piping hot or freezing cold mailbox for a week or more many times. I've been ordering seeds online for many years and always have 100% germination and no issues.

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some advice on some Mars lights. My grow area is 6'x5'. I was wondering if Two 192 Reflectors or 3 144 Reflectors would be better than the Pro 2 Epistar 320 or the Pro 2 Cree 256. Or maybe some other combo. Thanks.

To save time I am obviously going to have to go about this differently.

Can anyone tell me the part number and the exact description of exactly what I need to order, and a business in the USA where I could order it from?

I'm not 100% sure that it is the driver but I will take a chance. It's for a Marshydro 96X5 reflector series that's 1 1/2 years old. I don't know how many drivers they have but when you are looking at the front of the light with the rocker switches, the Growth lights on the left hand side are the ones not working. The right side works and both sides work for Bloom.

If anyone could give me the correct product number and description to use I would appreciate it. If I could get the name and number of a business in America that might have the part in stock, that would be sincerely appreciated as well.

Thanks.

Just to be clear, the USA warehouse workers are not Chinese and are not on holiday. Sarah said she would send you a tracking number which means your parts will be arriving soon. I got my driver in about 3 days and it took ten minutes to install. While you have it open do a little preventative maintenance and clean up the fans, etc. Good luck.

I just looked again and it says a shipping label was created....and you are correct.... from California!
I just wished someone would have been straight up with me when I asked about how long it would take instead of "not to worry." I would have ordered a new light immediately if I'd have known it was gonna be over a week (it still doesn't appear to be at the post office yet.)

Their warehouse is a drop shipper. You did have terrible luck with your problem occurring on their holiday and a weekend here to boot, but I assure you it's just a matter of days now. when I had the driver problem I was very anxious and worried about my grow but I just ran it with the lights that were lit. My driver arrived promptly after Sara sad it would be shipped.

Just a few weeks ago I ordered glasses from the same warehouse. Like your shipment it said the label had been created but not picked up. The next day it said picked up and in transit the next day it was here (3500 miles from the warehouse). The paperwork didn't catch up to the package until after it was delivered. Everything is slow as molasses when you are in a hurry and worried about your girls.

Hello, I'm looking for suggestions on LED lighting unit for this grow tent. It's 26 cubic feet.

I would grow sideways if my height was that limited. Plants will grow towards the light no matter where you put it. So put a lamp on one of the walls and put the plant on the opposite side and let it grow sideways towards the lamp

I've decided to go with the Agromax Original. I've made a space that will fit the 3x3x7' space! I'm gonna get the full kit. It comes complete with Roots Organic Soil. Should I mix anything with that soil or is good to go as is? I'm gonna try for 3 females sativa, using the 7 gallon poly bags included. I'm thinking of getting autos so I can go straight from seed to soil without transplant. Also, can someone help me with some links for water, nutes schedule for sprout to topping.

would mix in vermiculite & perlite for better drainage. like 25% of each or so and 50% soil. Or something like that :)
