Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Yeah no worries Sara.
All and all I'm happy with this grow this strain isn't known for it's high yield and this is my first led grow in a long time. Few more weeks then flushing, so I'm pleased they've made it this far. I've learned a lot this run and the next one will be better might not be documented/ in a journal on here but will be better and I'll make sure to share it with ya.

Ladies and gentle stoners I would like to know what nutrients you guys are using and a few pros and cons.

I am currently using the full Biobizz lines and love it all except for Alg-A-Mic (seaweed extract) it seems to be turning brown after about 2 months of opening. BioBizz has told me it's due to the sea weed being exposed to the air and becoming oxygenated. So I am on the hunt for another Cal/Mag was thinking of getting:

Plagron Pure Zym 500ml

This enzyme compound is really a must-have for any modern grower.

Enzymes - highly specialised protein molecules - are produced, among others, by bacteria and fungi and act as accelerators (catalyst) of a number of biochemical processes in which molecules acquire other forms.

With the help of a biocatalyst, enzymes decompose more quickly, especially the groups of cellulose and pectins from the dead parts of the plant, for example, the roots. Thus, many useful nutrient substances for the soil microbial life and the plant itself are released.

Since roots absorb nutrients from the microbial life that surrounds them, the stimulation of this microbial life results in an increase of the absorption capacity of the plant. As the microbial life expands, so does the absorption area of the root system.

A healthy root system shows many younger hairs through which the plant absorbs bivalent elements such as calcium, magnesium and iron. Furthermore, the microbial life offers some protection against pests and diseases.
Plagron Pure Zym features:

500ml bottle
Use 1ml/l of water during the entire culture
Contains water, sorbitol, sugar, cellulase enzymes, pectinase enzymes

Well all setup with 3 of the Reflector 144's. Growing some feminized Urban Poison and a bunch of freebies I had from Nirvana for the first grow round. New to LED's. Done 4 grows in this room with a 1000W HID but could not effectively grow in the summer do to heat issues. Heat is very manageable with the 3 LED's. I have 700 CFM of exhaust that vents out a liner in my chimney with 250 CFM of intake of fresh air from outside with a bug filter on it to stop them from coming in. Depending on temps and what not in the Fall and Winter I may add more LED's or possibly even my 400W HID. Just lowered the lights a bit. Have a bunch of Autos on the way that hopefully will actually arrive.

Err... Did they also tell you that brown equated to "no good," lol? Or is it still usable and effective?

Personally, for the most part, I have generally gotten by with Epsom salt in combination with the massive amounts of calcium that I get - whether I want to or not - in my tap water. I probably don't need the extra sulfur that I get from the Epsom salt, but it has not been a problem (AfaIK). And I like it more than dolomite lime because the Epsom salt is much more soluble.

well they said it is still good but that just doesn't make sense if the seaweed has become oxygenated and in my eyes is going "off" then I really don't want to be feeding my plants a product with something spoiled in it. I'm close to saying f*** it and trying banana tea.

:bravo:It seems seaweed is very useful in many different industries, now i know seaweed extract also works for cannabis.:high-five:
Usually cannabis need Cal/Mag the most of the whole growing period, right?:Namaste:I want to be your good student.:Namaste:

Hi TorturedSoul :thumb: Usually cannabis do not need too much sulfur ,right?

It sounds contradictory.:volcano-smiley:

:goodjob:wow AF seeds.
Theres only 3 feminized seeds and going with averages half of the freebies will probably be males. Gonna try to create some AF seeds.

When i was young,my father has a farm,we planted many vegetables,he always mixed many nutrients together,i only remember the color of the nutrients he used:one is white color, another is black:volcano-smiley:
Looks great man what nutrients you using for it??

Plants always need to take good care of.:thumb:
I have always had good luck with the FoxFarm stuff plus its easy for me to get out here and I also use CalMag
