Mars II is with better built up than Mars 300.

Someone who has never used LEDs to grow with just received her first Mars 300 and ordered a second to go along with it. She has questions about how to get the best use out of them in her setup. If someone would like to offer suggestions, her thread is here:

Can bloody decide reflector or marsII The reflector is 5w diodes now. So do they get as good or better results than the marsII The reflector series looks like the diodes may stay cooler as theirs no glass ?

Real speedy delivery guys. The light is a lot brighter then I thought. The temperature of my tent is way easier to control then with the big cfls. Only getting a 2* difference with the light on and off. I have a 60cm x 60cmx 140cm tent with a 187m3/h winflex fan and a small clip fan and it's working like a charm I might get another fan but that's just to get the air moving a bit more.

Yeah right now I got her over a 60 day (now 110+ days) haze x lowryder except this plant went a little crazy it's got the "true haze" phenotype so it looks really odd and taking alot longer then it should.... almost looks like dr. grinspoon by barney's farm I'm flushing it now so should be ok next week I can't really tell if she's liking the light or not but with this thing I can't really tell much....

Yeah,they all use 5w diodes now.
Both lights have their advantages::Namaste:
1 The design is different:Mars II uses glass cover ,which will reduce some light. However, Reflector uses reflection board ,which will reflect maximum light back to the plants compared to MarsII
2 Intensity is different: The gap is wider on Reflector than MarsII. So Reflector will cover more area, but MarsII will have stronger intensity on average area.
3 The coverage is different.
We had tested that Mars II use glass,it will has little effect of the heat,but it's not a big deal.:Namaste:
