As computer is different from LED lights,we can not send you a new PCB board. From your pics and description, our engineer confirmed that the light will work after leds have been changed.
The led diodes goes out doesn't mean you need to change the PCB board, just need to change the led diodes,if the fan doesn't work, just need to change the fan.
If you do think the PCB board is faulty, you can send the light to our repair center in Canada. Our technician will diagnose, after our tech confirmed the PCB board is fautly,we will change a new PCB board for you.
Why does my mars 144x5 reflector have green leds when plants cannot use and reflect the green spectrum?
It was an analogy. It doesn't matter what the device is, soldering on dozens of new components is not an FRU. Beyond that, you're forcing your customers to learn how to build their own lights. Once that skill is acquired, why buy another light from you?
You may remember that your engineer previously "confirmed" this light would cause me no further trouble when it shorted out two months ago. To think the two failures are not related is wishful thinking at best.

They don't have any green LEDs. I thought the same thing and checked them out when I got my method7 shades. You will notice after looking at the purple light that all white lights look green. I assure you there are no green LEDs in that light. I have 2 of them. Peace!!
rshackleferd;2902931when plants cannot use and reflect the green spectrum?[/QUOTE said:As has been stated by Sara (and in the panels' specifications), there are no green LEDs involved. However: Technically, plants do seem to use a tiny amount of green light - accessory pigments such as carotenes and xanthophylls harvest some of it. But, of course, the vast majority of it is reflected to make leaves appear green in color. And the presence of green light does not appear to interrupt the night cycle (which is why low-intensity green illumination can make a usable "after hours" gardener's light, depending on its exact wavelength).

Rather than disparage Mars-Hydro for this, I would give them extra credit. Most companies (all of the ones that I have dealt with personally) would not agree to send repair parts for a product if they would need to be soldered in, and after the failed components had to be desoldered. This company gives its customers the choice of doing so. AfaIK, this choice is offered so that the customer need not take the LED panel out of service while it is packaged, taken to UPS or another shipping entity, shipped to the company's repair center, repaired, and shipped back to the customer. Instead, the customer can continue to use it while the repair component(s) are shipped - and then perform the repair during a normal lights-off cycle and return it to service at the next scheduled lights-on time.
Call Samsung (, Motorola, Apple, et al) and tell them that one of the memory chips on your cell phone has failed. Then ask them if they would please send you a new one for you to solder it in so that you do not have to be without your cell phone for 10 days or more - and see what they say in reply, lol.
It would be nice if all of the components that make up one of these panels - and every other manufacturer's panels, for that matter - were socketed so that they could simply be pulled out and a replacement inserted. But this would add to the manufacturing cost. And that added cost would result in higher cost to the purchaser. People seem to be happy that these products do not cost more. It is unfortunate that things are soldered in place, yes - but one cannot have it both ways.

lol..gotcha. When you first look at the light its white but after awhile your eyes will get blurred from the bright light causing it to look green. It is called an "afterimage". Yes i do feel like a moron now
