Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Well, i finally hung my 1200w mars ii. I am very impressed. My only gripe is the light is heavy. I mounted high up using 5" x1/4" hook that bolted to the ceiling. The light is bright as hell!

Also been running the 400w mars ii in a 3x5 tent. Plants look very happy. I may have to phase out the 1000s soon.....we'll seeeeeee.

Dear All my friends, products arrived, and I will give you tracking number in the next three days. I should make everything right first.:) all of you will get lights within one week if your weather is not so bad.

Some of you told me you want lights at the end of this month, please order as soon as you can, we are selling too hot now, I am not sure if we have enough in stock at the end of this month. we just arrived a 40' container, and next is 200 pieces lights. that all we have in US. others lights is making in China now. every time takes long time arrive at warehouse after we ship out from China, so when we have lights in stock, you'd better order ASAP. thank you all. and sorry for our long delay.

I was looking at 4 in my 5x5 which I thought was more than enough! Should I be looking at 5? Seems like a lot of lights for that space...

I went with 5 of the 400 watt mars2 just to make sure I had more than enough coverage in the tent. I don't think you could have too much light!

I will be hanging them in an X pattern and that will help with lowering and bringing the lights up according to the 2 different strains I will have growing in the 6 - 5gal buckets......
 
Hello everyone, I just signed up because of this thread. I have a question. Are there any Canadians that have ordered these lights and if so what was the total cost of the shipping? They only offer courier shipping option and it can get very expensive with all the extra charges they tack on like Brokerage fees which is a big one. US Postal service is always the best shipping option for me.

if you do not order too many lights, I can make lower value for you, then you can pay very less other charges . sometimes no taxes,:)I will try my best to save cost for u.

So I have had my 300w led from topled for couple weeks now, here we have an MI5 that has been sitting under it, the growth is outstanding in just few days

Hi Sara,

I have been following this thread am sold on your products.

Question: do the Mars series also have the veg/flower switch?

I have read a lot on the 5w versus 3w and know that the 5w do generate more heat. I am thinking of using two 3w units for vegging along with the Mars if it has a veg only switch then using all three for flower assuming that the Mars unit puts out more light intensity because of the 5w lights, assuming that there is a switch for veg/flower on the mars unit.

I am convinced that the plants do not need, in my small room, the added intensity for vegging but could use it during flower. Because I want to control heat and not exceed 750 watts, the combo sounds about right with the added boost of lite during flower from the Mars.

Does this sound intelligent-the desire to control heat while having the extra boost during flower and combining the 3w with the 5w?
