Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

major defoliation coming, like stick skinny. These are before pics, will post the results maybe tomorrow cause today are the playoffs.

Hi everyone, first message in the forum. Just received 7 144reflectors and I have a few questions
1 The sheet included recommends 12h max. How long can I keep them lit whitout risk?
2 It also recommends a 80cm distance?!
3 For the bloom cycle, do I switch only bloom or both positions?
4 Are 4 reflectors 144 + a 600w HPS enough/fine/too much for a 240cmX120cm tent?
Thanks for answering and good grow to everyone

I use 3 144's for a similar sized area using a titan controls ebb and flow system 12 sites at the moment
while I too received them not to long ago and used them to start flowering as a experiment they are in week 5 now showing great production the nugs seem dense and the sites are filling in nicely. I was told to hang them 15" (38cm) I use both switches during flower
I do not think 4 plus a HPS is needed some say a HPS helps in the yellows but that also adds heat plus the venting if you are wanting to stay with the hps perhaps put a reflector on either side to get full effect... Hope this helps. I am sure there will be more responses from those here with much more exp than I with LED's. oh and watch the cal-mag levels they suck it up under the LED's

:cheesygrinsmiley:Haha, Klovneposen, I have to say, you have very good self-learning ability.:thumb: I believe with this ability, you will achieve your goal. One day, I will tell my friends with pride that I have ever talked with a great scientist.:high-five:
HAHAHa  It must be my dedication in the classroom back in the school days. Oh no that is incorrect, they always tossed me out in the hallway. Until they put me into a special class for illiterate and troubled kids :) so i am actually all autodidact in all aspects almost. my mother learned me the basical understanding of the alphabet and using it. mathematics, English, history, natural science, arts and creativity yeah even down to the hole periodic table i had to learn myself. So thanks it actually means a lot when someone tells me something like that. :circle-of-love:

actually i am finally getting back to school next summer. I feel so exited to finally get some examination papers so i can start looking into the possibilities of an education in the natural science field. :geek: A wanna become a scientific hybrid mix of Niels Bohr, Jared Diamond and Eske Willerslev those are my tree big idols in life.

:Namaste:

Hey Sara and the gang,

The plants are loving the 144*5 reflectors so far! I'm on day 56 from seed on my first grow. I'll be switching to flower in 2 weeks.

:circle-of-love:Hi Mike, the new mars lights are Mars Pro series and Mars Pro II series. Mars Pro and Pro II are the same design. They both have two versions, Epistar160, Epistar320 and Cree128, Cree256. They use cup deisgn which mixes the spectrum better. The only difference is the remote controller. Mars Pro series has remote controller while Mars ProII doesn't have. The remote controller will control several lights together rather than individually. You can decide which one to choose according to your situation. :Namaste:
How are those new mars lights thinking of buying some

Haha, geopv, I am expecting the pics.:high-five:

:circle-of-love: Hi Pakito, you can light it up longer than 12 hours without problem. This recommend hours is for vegetables.:Namaste:The recommend distance is as follows:
germination 24-30inches above the plants
veg:18-24 inches above the plants
flower:12-18 inches above the plants
:circle-of-love: During flower, it's better to turn on both for stronger power and the fan will only work with Veg switch on. The coverage of Reflector144 is 60cm x 122cm. 4pcs Reflector144 and one 600W HPS will cover your area well.:high-five:

:cheertwo:More good news:cheertwo: 10% off for reflector 144 in Canada now so if you happen to need one or will need one in the near future, please hurry up, will go back to the original price after a while. we make this decision because of the sudden change of one pre-order for 400pcs caused by the Canada policy. Good news to my friends here imo :Namaste:Please contact info@mars-hydro.com for the discount price!:cheertwo:

Hi SmokeSara, I tried e-mailing you good people at mars hydro with my entry for the first mars hydro cup but my e-mail wouldn't allow me to attach the film saying its too large to attach even though its only 252MB. Any ideas how I can get this to you ?

Use drop box. What she told me to do.

What is dropbox and is it secure ? Thanks.
It's part of Yahoo mail or gmail I think. Yeah you upload files kinda like cloud storage. And you can send people download links. It can be open or secure. But I wouldn't worry about security that much hell this is a public forum and the video is uploaded to YouTube to promote mars-hydro. So all things considered if your being watched or are afraid of being caught if its illegal where you are you already passed the point of no return ha-ha. No worries though drop box is solid.
