Haha awesome. Have you finished a grow with them? If so how was the buds ?

A few pages back in the thread i posted some bud picks for Sara. That was with that kit. It last me forever because I do drain to waste with soil. Uses much less. It did really well they were just random bag seeds have no clue what they were. They turned out nice. The pics are a few weeks before finish. Check out my uploaded images for final result. Did 7 ounces on cfl in a 2x2 ha-ha.

Wow 7 oz On cfls nice. I veg under CFL's until I got my leds I have always had great results vegging with cfls

Looks awesome. I can't wait till March I will be getting another 1200 OR 1600. How's the penetration your canopy looks as thick as mine. I am impressed so far. With my results. I have my lights at 15 inches where are yours? I know I have asked before but so much info can't remember lol. I am trying to get real user experience. My buddy hangs is 1200 at 20 inches in flower and he gets some fat nugs. I feel 15-20 gives the light enough hight to blend and spread out a little more without loosing a lot of par

I keep popping off fan leaves as they mature cuz I have so many small bud sights and not big colas. I am thinking Imay have to keep trimming fan leaves if I want to get the deep penetration but not so much to stress them out. light are min aprox 15-18 inch max. I was using GH maxi but now I use a calmag 5-05 and a 05-50-10 , threw in some seaweed 0-0-15 and I am backing off on foliar as buds are showing up . Humidity around 40-60. Temp 75-85. ph 5.8-6.2 ppm around 1200 new batch-1700. Add pre mixed water as needed about 1/2 tsp gallon for all ingredients up to 2000. Also add some pond enzymes and some sugar water after PH. I may light foliar with silica( adding silica to res ups PH so might start with low PH water in foliar mix) then bump it up towards week 4-5 bloom. hit em with UVB (150wx 2) bulbs for 6 hours to induce thc and yellowing around week 4 of bloom. when I get my far red bulbs (15 watt x 2) I will run at sun down after lights out for 30 min. THen increase lights on to 14 hours. Hope I don't violate Murphy's law. Shooting for 1 gram /watt/90 day cycle. aprox 3x5 or 15 square foot 1000watts. 2 lbs? shut the back door! 1000gr/3 =330 gram /month or 165 gram per mars 1200 per month. 5 ounce per 1200 per month .15 hrs of light per day average. 7.5 kwh/day = 225kwh/month or 45kw per ounce per month.

Yes, this is a great lesson.

One of the biggest surprises was how much less water they need under LED's. Less Water, heat and humidity.

18 inches away with 1200 true draw power almost 600w is perfect for a 3x3 tent. Check out Atrain's grows. He grows with the Mars ii 1200.

All in all im pretty envious at you guys your company party looks way my social fun and non drunk then they often are in my country. its just all about getting dumb and wasted in my country at christmas i hate it.

Really, it seem HPS does give out too much. You will have a good yield.

So as of 5 am I have taken out the hps And put back the 60x5 next to my 1200 it has only been a few hours and the curling of the tips is already going away. While yes the hps was giving more light but I believe it was just to much and was slowly messing my girls up. I will say that with just the leds there is a better overall environment so I feel I will yield the same if not more than with the hps and led.

Hi morial, MarsII700 will fit 3'x3' tent. You can grow 4 plants under it.

Hi everybody! I'm new here and I wonder if you guys can help me. I will start with indoor growing for the very first time and I will do so with LED lights. I have read a lot of reviews, tests and comparisons and now I would like to order the Mars II 700W with a 3'x3'x5'9" tent (together for about 378.- US $) .
What do you think, is this set-up OK:
1 - for the price?
2 - to grow 4 plants?
3 - would you recommend other lights, tent....?
.... or what ever.

I would get nothing less then the Mars ll 900 for a 3x3. I have the Mars ll 1200 in aa 3.3x3.3 tent. If your looking to grow 4 plants the 700 will do but you would be better with the 900

Exactly what stoney said. That or 4 of the old 60x5 300 watts mars hydro's on eBay. But the 900 or 1200 watt would be great as the 700 watt only has 33 watts a square foot. It will grow some nice plants but some more power will grow bigger denser buds.

Morial, MarsII900 will also fit 3'x3' area. You will get about 43w per sqft, which is better than MarsII700.

At first I asked for the price of the 900W light and a 3x3 tent, but they told me that this lamp is to big for this tent and I should buy the bigger one. As I don't have so much space for my indoor-experiment, I asked for the 700W light instead of the 900W with a bigger tent. OK, so I will order the 900W Mars II or maybe 4 of the old 60x5 300W Mars Hydro's, if they're really as good as the 900W Mars II? Is this alternative really equivalent?
Glitch do you mean this one when you talk about the old light on eBay?

I run a 900 in my 3x3 flower tent. If gives around 45w/sqft. I personally think this is the best light for this size tent. You can see the grow in my sig.

Here is a pic from today about 7 hours after I took down the hps and put back the 60x5 with the 1200
The only corner that look nice and spread out is the back right corner my #1 that had the stretch at the beginning. These white widows have not stretched at all.

wow, Ottawa, 97w/sqft is a lot.

I think when they like to recommend lower wattage lights it is because they are good enough to barely cover the space, but even more light is better up to the point your plants start bleaching tips.
I have 97w/square foot and it's about perfect. Never get more than 1/8" tip bleach on very closest tops.

Stoney, I am glad to know you have raised it up a little to cover the area.

And that's what is throwing us off. Cfl And hps have a lot of llight that the plant don't use which is why we see so much of it. I have my lights hanging at about 15 inches 12 just seemed to low I wasn't getting bleaching but it just didn't look like it covers good at 12 Inches but 15 seem to be a sweet spot so far. Also the last 7 days I'll be going to only 8 hours of light and then the last 3 days I will only use the bloom spectrum I wanna see if that will help with trichome production. I have heard it really helps.

P.s. I have never used co2 other then for like a week I did the yeast and sugar in a pop bottle with water.

lol, Gltich, I never thought that the LEDs had this feature.

I've never had any pest or rot. Just scared of it with LEDs.
