I believe paypal has more disadvantages than advantages but that is just my honest opinion because I have a friend who works for them and he tells me situations all the time that he is ordered to do. Yeah I'm starting to find out that marsHydro states a lot of stuff on their website that hasn't been all that reliable. Especially the sign for the package thing. I didn't pay using PayPal at all. Thank you though
 
No offence..... but i find this a strange story....
Package wrong delivered and on your previous old address? How did Mars know that you lived there in the passed without "your" input?

Indeed the proper shipping address was given. Which is exactly why I chose to pay by credit card and not any of their other forms of payment. (Western union, PayPal, or bank transfer) To be honest I didn't even have a PayPal account when this order was created. I have just recently made one, and I personally have never been a fan of PayPal so I never use it if I don't have to. I've always had a friend order something for me through their PayPal account so I don't have to hassle with the bullshit like what's occurring now. (Long story short I have a friend who works for PayPal and all the shit I hear about it you would not believe)

^ this is exactly what it states on their website and this is exactly why I chose to pay by credit card! To specifically prevent any miscommunication of shipping address. Yet that obviously didn't seem to work. I've checked my account page on their website multiple times and the address in which I actually reside at is still labeled As the shipping address for the light to be shipped to and for my information and profile; but they didn't send it to the address provided as "shipping address."

Just hoping for the situation to be resolved soon, and to either receive what I paid for or my money back.

I remember visiting his grow journal and thinking that his lighting set up was really cool but bordering on overkill. I was also wondered how the hell he was able to keep his tent temps under control. Anyways, I don't mean this as a critisism of Flyboy's setup or anything but too much light can be just a bad if not worse than not having enough light and could contribute to less than desirable results. ??

So far I've been pleased with yields, trichome development, bud development, etc. I should probably continue to use my current setup and put off buying the new and improved lights until more actual user reviews are available for the Mars-Pro series.

Why do you want to reinvent the wheel ? Looks to me like you are getting great results with what you already have.

It's not their fault the address was wrong, all they're expected to do is deliver things to the address on the package, not check to see if the address is correct.

Not meaning to argue, but you really can't hold them responsible. Whoever allowed the wrong address to be used is at fault. Did you get an order or shipping confirmation with the right address on it?

Thunderbrain I totally understand where you are coming from. This is why I contacted Mars Hydro 1st before even speaking with UPS Ground. I figured why should UPS be at fault when all they do is drop shit off. I mean they aren't always the best service with packages but this issue doesn't seem to pertain to them. They don't run the ware house or put the shipping labels on the package.
I by no means take it as arguing as speaking with UPS was not my first option. It is just getting to the point where I am now trying every option because I'm not getting anywhere and it's frustrating! No I did not get an order number with the correct shipping address labeled on it. My shipping address on the Mars hydro website is labeled correctly so that should indeed be the one they should be using to ship it to but they didn't. The only order number I received from Mars Hydro was the email that wasn't sent to me until December 27th, 2015 at 7:48PM. When I ordered my light way before this! (My order was placed at 1:53AM on 12/21/15)
All that was displayed in that email to me was the order number, the billing address, the shipping address, confirmation that the light had been delivered on the 23rd and put on the porch, and this reply: "I am sorry for replying late. We had shipped out the light. You must received the light.Here is the tracking status below.Please feel free to contact me if you have any question"

Well obviously since I got the email almost a week after I ordered the light and the date the light was "delivered on the porch" was the 23rd (four days before I received the email for any information of my order number or tracking; I couldn't do anything but email Maria back and ask what the hell was going on?. Which is certainly what I did because I didn't even know a light had been shipped out to me since I received no information on tracking at all and had to come home after a long day of work to an email of my light being delivered but incorrectly.
 
Hey 420 Friends ...Got some Bad news ... I just had a shock of my life .. .received a paper from fedex saying customs invoice ... they looked at the Led at the german costums ... The LED that i won here ... I already paid 40 Euro for shipping ... now they want me to pay another 28 Euro ... which makes is a total of 68Euro and on German Ebay i could buy a completley new light for 5 Euro more and the light i won here wasnt new for sure it was very dirty ... so yea my Win wasnt that good hahah !! Suucks Big Time !! and at first when i read Customs Invoice i thought that they found the seeds I ordered lol ... Not funny at all ... Now i have to drive to the other city to their station and talk to them and pay them in cash and prolly explain what i need the light for ... I know Its not MarsHydros fault ... But Im still angry and wanted to share my anger lol ..So yea thats my story for today .. have a nice weekend guys

ARGH!!! Tell me about it..German customs are HORRIBLE....

When I moved back to Germany I shipped my old, at that time already very outdated PC per mail from the US. (Obviously I didn't want to take it on the plane).

I had to pay like €80 or so customs/fee....and needless to say had to drive somewhere to pick it up.

Before that, my GF sent me a gift package containing trivial things like coffee, candy etc. I had to fricking drive to customs office IN Berlin where they OPENED the fricking package...and then I explained to them what this or that is..."hey yeah that's coffee filters".... I was so pissed off.

I think it's a random thing when they check shipments...but yeah I guess since they shipped the prizes from China...unlike when you buy actual lights which they stock in Germany so there is no problems with customs. Sorry dude ;( Problem is, a large package like a grow light is difficult to declare as a "gift" just worth $10 or so (which would save you the hassles), especially since the packet already says what's in it....so the chances for having to pay customs are high ;(
 
So have a question? Tomorrow I have to do some moving around and my girls will be without light for about 5-8 hours when they usually have light. You think I'll be ok and they won't herm?

I don't think it would harm them...but if you have a way of putting them on a balcony, porch or elsewhere outside while you move? Or even near a window.
 
I wouldn't recommend just throwing up outside for a few hours you'll end up bring a few pest in the tent as well as it'll stress them out with the change in light.

If its a one off thing they should be alright. If you are really worried about them you could always change the timer on the lights so the lights come on at the new time when you want to switch the lights back on but I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Hi SmokeSara. I have a question regarding the mars I old style 600w 200 x 3w Leds as I cant seem to find the technical specifications for them anywhere. They don't even stock them on ebay anymore as all the mars hydro 600w Leds are now with the 5w chips.
I know you said the actual draw power for them is 230w but I would like to know if these have secondary lenses and at what angle ? Thanks in advance.

No can't get no light to them. It sucks But it is only a 1 time thing and hopefully no longer than a few hrs but going to say 8 hours max. Thanks everyone for the quick reply awesome. This thread is the best
