thanks for the contrusctive advice, Toddosh. It's very helpful.

Around 1ft from top of the girls,a little more through veg though.So with the hangers and distance from top of plants I'd say 2ft from roof which will leave you with a bit over 4ft growing space which should be plenty with a short veg stage and great light for a 2 grow setup

A Good Company would stand behind their quotes. We here on the Forum are your testers to help Marspro improve and develop a better product.
We are even willing to spend money on the Led strips just to test them out when we don't really need them. We just want to make Marspro a better company and one that takes care of it's buyers.
Seems like the manager Ruby talked to just wanted to be greedy and get American money from us.
He said no, no, no.
Buy 50 or more at about triple the price.
That manager made Marspro look very bad and deceitful.
Only interested in making money and not the testers interest.
Marspro will lose money now due to the manager's attitude.

I really enjoyed Marspro, and I love my Cree128 units.

haha, Gnarl... the way we are doing business has always been in the public eyes.

Im of two minds here.

The old gnarly hippy home grower in me thinks I should have the opportunity to buy one or two fixtures configured exactly how I want them to complement what I have already purchased from Mars. At the quoted price plus shipping.

The businessman in me is starting to see a much bigger picture with almost limitless possibilities. I have a million questions and would like to hear MArs HYdro's vision on this..

I have some ideas in both directions.


Things have a way to work out. I know Sara does her best to make that happen.
Seems like poor communication all around.
What I think I am hearing might not be what they think they are saying.
But I am still listening.

I have a project that probably requires 100 or more 4 foot units. I can't be sure until I get more information on the lights and their capabilities, but having a price and a unit to show investors sure would be nice.

I was told that it would be "half a month" before Mars is ready to actually do business on the light bars and armed with a price , some specs and cut sheets I might get people lined up to go on this.

I have asked for prices and shipping costs to have something to talk about over the holidays. Looking forward to being assigned an account rep that actually knows the lights and could answer questions. I have been emailing about these lights for over 2-3 months now. It will be good to learn all I can about them and if they will actually work in my application or not.

As for shipping single fixtures I have had a lot of experience with receiving electrical moldings and raceways on job sites and seldom did singularly packed 4' moldings arrive undamaged. That would take special packaging and shipping costs as much as the fixture.

Shipping single lengthy units is the problem from China and through out the USA it is a problem. They are easily damaged in shipping.

If you shipped a pallet to a central location that would be cheaper. Then ship them out from there in reinforced mailing tubes.

Units of 4 and up would be much sturdier and safer to send.

update pic on my White Widow under my Mars ll 1200. I have to say Mars led lights are amazing at vegging. I will find out how good it is at flowering in the next few weeks my transition week starts on the 28th maybe before looking at them. They are growing so fast it's crazy you guys think I should flower this week or wait till my original day of the 28th

i used 200 watts of cfl side lighting i got from walmart, very nice results. I was in the 2'3" tent, 400w II , 3 plants. nice hard buds
