Since there are so many experts in growing cannabis on this forum. Maybe yous can give me a ideal of why growth would look like it has slowed to a crawl on 2 of my White Widows? I have looked around but can't find much
Well Stoney where should we start? Water PH 5.8 to 6.2 or in hydro 5.5 to 6, PH of soil is to high, Temps are either to high or to low, humidity is to high or to low, water temp if using a reservoir either high or low, Feeding not balanced too much of something has caused a nute lock out, not enough air movement intake, exhaust, and circulation, root rot (too much moisture surface of soil should be dry), salt build up in soil, shock from handling or trimming, or perhaps they are taking a brake for the Holidays. Just go over what you are doing and remember all plants are not equal even in the same strain just find the happy medium.
I'm thinking I need to water them 2 every other day instead over everyday. I will start with that and see how it goes. Thanks for the reply
I had always thought of 75-85 day temps and 65-75 night temps. But I've seen people growing in over 90 degrees f and have no issues. I know there is a perfect zone somewhere but weed grows outdoors with no human intervention in much more harsh conditions with no issues. I think sometimes we stress to much over it. Slow growth is usually caused by rootbouding or nutrient lock or over feeding and general shock. Not so much temp issues. I think your temps are just fine. My cfl grow was that temp range and my girls were healthy. Just my 2 cents. So this is something I'm confused on I keep reading here that the best temp is 80-85. So is the optimal temp different with MH/HPS than led?
Definitely could be the issue. Drowning he plants. They need a natural rain and dry cycle. No oxegen to the roots equals no growth.Watering everyday is too much. Let them dry out a bit. I run a 3 part mixture of Fox Farms Ocean Forest, Promix BX and Perlite. The FFOF and the Promix both have perlite in it so I am adding quite a bit more. My soil drains VERY well and I am watering every 3-4 days. Let them dry out or you may run into root rot. .eace:

wondering about the upgrade to 5w leds in the reflector series. did you upgrade drivers, power and heat sinks to adjust for extra power and heat?

Doesn't coco hold watter really well? I like coco for seed starting but its not forgiving if you have issues.Actually growing in coco it is best to water 1-3x a day. But in my case the bag their in I think is holding water more than the 2 in diffrent bags. Coco is a Hydroponics so watering everyday is better. When they were in solo cups I watered 2x a day.
I would like to know this too.
I get a little paranoid leaving the house knowing the lights are on all day. Has anyone had any issues with the reflector lights over heating or anything?

I am using walmart Bags so I guess they are like airbags. But the 2 that are doing good if I didn't water everyday they would probably die in the morning they are very dry the 2 but the other 2 are still wet so I think it does have to do with watering everyday I guess some can handle it and some just cant. Thank you everyone for all the advice and help. Even with the what I am saying it slow growth these are the healthiest girls I have grown and they look very good no discolor on any leafs no ssmells from bags so I think it's has to do with the watering everyday at this point and me being a newbie lol.I use coco in a ebb and flow system that waters three times a day but only the bottom 1inch of the pot gets wet and the pots are air pots so air and drainage are always at work if I was watering each plant I would do it no more than every three days get a water meter so you have an idea of how wet your soil is in theory the top third should be dry the middle third damp and the bottom moist when you set up your pots the bottom inch or so should be hydrotron or growdan cubes that will hold moisture but not not be wet and allow air to flow by the roots here is a photo of healthy roots in coco with hydrtron at the base
is it okay to veg with both the bloom and growth switches on? Full spectrum veg? anyone?
Most people do
Less stretch the better ha-ha.I do. I feel with both the nods are closer with less stretch
Hi Sara,
Thanks for the reply. I've just asked Ruby to remind me how much extra the 3'3" tent is... I'm eager to start so I'll get the bigger tent for now. I really want to plant my first seeds on my birthday (Christmas Day). A silly dream, but it would make me happy
Regards
Mark
