Mars Hydro Grow Journal: TS 3000, Gorilla Glue Auto, 4x4 Tent, 2 Medium, 2 Pot Sizes

Yuma AZ avg rainfall 3.25 inches per Year. Also the sunniest city in the world. Google it.
We are planning to start snow birding when covid is over and getting out that way 6 months a year. Good golf weather I bet except for summer time.

That's why so many come here. The population of Yuma goes up 40k people in winter. However it's been quiet this year no Canadians. A lot of businesses depend on the snowbirds. I I live in a retirement community year round the summers are brutal from early June till late September 100°+ everyday last summer we hit 120. However Oct thru May very nice. I'm gonna start an outdoor grow this week. Autos should finish before the heat arrives

Hey @Plant Daddy, looking good :bravo:

I had to run some water through her 5 gallons of Coco
Some Coco advice if you'd welcome it :peace: If you ever run plain water through coco, make sure you follow it up by leeching through some water + calmag. Coco has a high cation exchange capacity so you want to make sure you buffer it with CalMag before you feed nutrients if you run plain water through. Personally, I never flush with plain water during the growth/flower cycle in Coco. If i ever need to flush (due to salt build up, or switching boost), i do it with Water + CalMag. Just keep an eye out for Ca/Mg deficiency.

Best of luck. They're looking great. And great experiment. I'm sure this will be of value to many growers in the future :Namaste:

Coco seems like more trouble than its worth D: (I'm sure once one gets used to it, it's not so bad but still)
I do love Coco, I think it’s an amazing medium, but it can be a headache, especially when things go wrong. But once you know these little bits and pieces it does get easier. It’s definitely more work than soil for sure, being a hydroponic medium. But the benefits speak for themselves, it’s just whether the extra effort is feasible and worth it for you :peace:

I guess I'll need to run coco at some point to see if I can do it. I have two speeds: hyper focus and flaky as a croissant.

Edit: case in point I came here 2 hours ago to complement @Plant Daddy and his lady on their plants but forgot and am now researching root anatomy

-your using a coco mix (add more perlite) plantdaddy you be alright outdoors. then you can get bigger root system in 3 weeks for autos. nice long days autos will love.

-do a timewarp photo plant too plantdaddy.

-my best outside grows in ontario are low rain to almost drought conditions if i'm close to water source. winter indoor i like freezing because humidity is 30-35%. i find it easier to deal with too low humidity than to high humidity. humidity is terrible in ontario in summer.

-still looking for the pic for clipping fan leaves & branches, at worst i'll do it on plant and take my own pick.

-using point form so i don't get side tracked, trying to keep my friendly shout outs from adim down.

Only been in Canada a few years. I'm from California. I haven't seen anything Higher than 49 degrees since October. I'm still trying to climatize, every year I get more comfortable. We want to get out of Victoria from Oct to March. Not sure where we will land down in the South West. I can't wait. I don't want anything to do with 120*.

I'm done!!! lol Coco is a pain. I flushed Betty last week and she's coming back. I flushed Norma the other day. She is looking locked out. Last Coco grow for sure. I'm spoiled after using soil. Growth is huge difference between the two. Edith has come back and in charge.

I don't have pics.. I'm usually High clipping leaves and branches. I could do that all day. I have to stop myself. Haha

46 Days from germination

Coco girls are keeping me on my feet. I'm watering twice a day. I'm not watering 3 gallon 3 times a day. I'm just not go to do that. I'm watering with more runoff than suggested. Trying for 20-25% runoff and Keeping very close eye on PH and EC in runoff.
They are all at slightly different stages of flower. June is two weeks behind for sure...

I can clearly see FFOF 5 gallon Edith is Bigger and more mature than June in 3 gallon. June is a couple weeks behind in growth and she has had the least problems. I'm not sure if she has been stunted or is just a late bloomer.
I would never use 3 gallon Coco for anything unless I had auto watering system. So Far 5 and 3 gallon Coco are very similar in size. Defiantly 5 gallon... I can afford extra soil. I think the roots are just happier in a bigger pot over all. yield will be interesting. I've be defoliating a little. Yesterday I had to defoliate June more than I wanted. She is just a little bush. I hope I didn't stunt her more.

I have my girls in 7gal FFOF and really like the bigger pot size. I water every 4 days which is nice too. I had thought about 10 gal soil, would be great to water less often but I feel like that would make it harder to adjust nutes in a timely fashion and I'm still learning my nute doses.

Cool grow!

Oct. To March is when most people come. It only hit 120° 1 day but 115° pretty common. In Yuma avg high July and Aug. 108°. Tucson and Phoenix a little cooler

We had a Condo Downtown we used for Air B&B . We had to rent it out. We rent to snow birds for next couple years. Funny people come here for the nice weather. There is only three months here that the climate is perfect if you don't mind a little rain.
