Mars Hydro Grow Journal: TS 3000, Gorilla Glue Auto, 4x4 Tent, 2 Medium, 2 Pot Sizes

everyone's definition of perfect is a sliding scale ...
depends how much time you wanna spend baking or freezing. a change is always nice, it's the longevity that might wear :cheesygrinsmiley:

love my new doggy jake ... dont be putting your hand in his mouth ..
Looks like one happy dog. I can't remember if it was you that asked if I started seeing roots on the top of soil yet. It might have been @Mustang92 . I am now. should I top dress to top roots aren't showing in the Coco?

im never seen roots on top other than the ones ive washed the soil off of watering to harshly ..

never heard of that rule of thumb... my last grow was three month solid root ball in my 7 gallon pot pull it out whole
every time.. think your rule of thumb is off by a mile or 2... i bet i could fill up a 10 gallon pot in 3 moths full root ball.. .. these root ball i be bashing on the front lawn in spring taking the lawn mower to em .. solid..... after i toss
on some new grass seed to cover.. takes awhile but it does sink in..

i got a few going in a little 3 gallon pot.. will need to water them all the time to keep going and not get dehydrated quick and wilt and stress.. what temps your canopy run at ? im at 29 30 c which is right about max rate of growth peek in some studies ive read.. lots of water.. some like 25 to 29 .... 85f falls off after unless u co2

can say i know anything about auto grows.. i rather pull the switch myself when i think im ready for bloom... ?

cheers

heres a ten gallon pot .. get 4 of those in the tent .. its a lot of pro mix ..
I love the 3 gallon fabric pots of coco. My favorite inside.

roots will change colour and protect themselves from light or top cover i don't think matters.
just means your roots are running out of new places to grow, good awesome root ball to feed those gorilla buds your growing, should frost up nice :yummy:

So now that's your about half way through.....which set up of medium/pot size are you liking best?
I like the ease of Soil. It's like plug and play with soil. I am a little puzzled with June in 3 gallons of soil tho. She has been the best looking, healthiest and now I'm wondering WTF. She always looks like she's thirsty. Her leaves are not showing me what she wants. The only thing I can think of is, am I over watering her? I don't think so, so I'm hyper aware of watering her. I'm still waiting for a growth spurt but I don't think it's going to happen. We will see. Maybe just genetic defect.
Edith in 5 gallon soil and looks amazing. She may be shorter than coco grows but she is the star. She's come back twice from being over nuted. Her color and general health is amazing compared to others. I wish they all looked like Edith.
I think I have some Coco to use up still. I may try a Coco, soil and perlite grow mix in the future. I've seen Mr. Cannuck growing in the Coco, soil, perlite mix. I'd like to see if it offers the benefits of both, with less watering and less lock out issues. Lol ...
I think I will land in soil. I'm only growing for personal use and don't need yield even tho I like the competitiveness of trying to get high yield from space. I think yields might be bigger with Coco for autos. Quality... We will see....

It's an auto in the 3gal? That is strange....maybe a root issue or just not as strong.

Yeah... It is strange. I'm gonna make sure she is really dry before water. There's just nothing else I can do for her. I'm about to go water now and I think she will be watered. I will give her some nutes. I have some Growth Science Bloom 2-3-2 . I gave Coco some last nite. I think I will give June some if she is ready for water this morning. I figure it my be what might kick start her.

you could mix in 20 percent top soil with hp pro mix .. in the big 10 gallon pots out by my pool pic those had that mix
the soil really helps hold in the water until the big root ball s get going which will hold back a ton of water..

i used black earth top soil at loblaws 2 bucks for 25l

I'm wondering if PH is an issue as in Coco. I'm probably going to experiment with the Coco I have left. I have about 10 gallons of Coco to use. I was thinking about using it for two 10 gallon pots for outside Autos on deck for our short summer grow. I'll go half and half mix with FFOF. I'm just not sure if I want to use for indoor. I can run four 5 gallon autos inside with 50% 50%. This might be the compromise.

You should empty the pool like on Cheech and Chong!

Day 51 since germination

Photo dump. The healthiest looking would be Edith in the back right corner. I'm not sure what's going on with June. She is front right in FFOF 3 gallon. I top dressed her and flushed her trying to snap her back. Her root are coming out the top of medium.
I don't even want to talk about Coco grows on the left side of tent. I top dress them as well today. I'm watering them twice a day. Buds are looking good on both of them.

promix makes a coco and soil mix so that is what you should definetly do, you will like better. what ph are you feeding the coco ?

In veg Ph was 5.8 - 6. In flower PH 6. - 6. 2 I've got some pretty unhealthy plants in Coco. This week I started to PH at 6.5 - 6.8 . I'm I'm embarrassed to take photos. Betty hermied. I'm ripping her ball sacks off but don't know WTF. Mean while Edith the runt of the litter isn't the biggest but she is Lush with dark green leaves. She looks hydrated and happy. Her little sister June is struggling too. She Hate me. They all do except for Edith. Buds do look good on Coco grow tho and there is a lot of buds and there getting bigger even tho the plant is crying for something. I just want to go back to soil 5 gallon bags. I can clearly see yield is massive in coco compared to soil.

Learning to play with the plant in coco has taken me about a year tinkering. I think you are having issues with your nutrients. I haven’t done it yet but in my journal I’m going to go all the way though my nutrition regimen. I feed constantly, and I absolutely love how much faster coco is over soil. I do want to do a few living organic soil plants outside this summer just for me bongo. Lol

just my opinion but auto flower is a gentic freak so having them hermie is just a matter of time.
I've found with my HP CC , 5.8 -6.0 range best for me, didn't seem good for you:(. just a thought for you ; if you have no luck going higher ph try hydroponic ph and 5.5.-5.6 .
for me coco starts to shine when you think hydroponics and what you tried to do ain't easy.

It seems like autos are hit or miss. I don’t mess with em. If a plant turns out really good, I wanna clone the crap outta it and smoke it til I don’t like it anymore!
