Manifolding LSD & Heavyweight Fruit Punch LED Organic

I don't think you should have to many problems growing sativa's with indica's.. It's all in how you train them, you can keep all those canopys relatively even for sure! My last auto grow, I had 2 60% indica hybrids growing beside 2 sativa dom plants and they all grew relatively the same height. 1 of my hybrids actually came out to show some sativa traits and grew bigger than both of the sativa dom plants.. So it's all a gamble in the size of each plant, just keep an eye on them and train them accordingly :)

Yes, it will be very interesting to see how the Indica and Sativa plants do side-by-side. After the holidays I'm going to have a go at some sativa plants, and will have some Indica as well.

Your garden is looking great :goodjob:

Thank you WillysMom. Kind words as usual. I am loving how your plants turned out by the way. They actually look like what I am kinda shooting for. As for Sativas. Gotta have them. :) Gotta Have both really. I want them all. :lot-o-toke:

Yea I am hoping I will be ok. Im excited and a little nervous at the same time. LOL We shall see if IM up to the task. If not. HOPEFULLY I will get a some help in here. :)

UPDATE: 13 Days From Seed

Average temp 85F
Average night time temp 81F
Average RH 49

Nothing new to add. Just some pictures. Waiting for the roots to fill the pot so I can transplant into their final 3 gallon Fab pots. They will be ready for topping in another day or so. I was hoping to get them into their final home before I started topping. I need to look back into my other journal and see at what day I transplanted last time. So I have a clue how much longer I got. If not long. I will wait until after the transplant. Thoughts?

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Here is a side by side (kinda) yesterday/today

ok just check past journal. Looks like I made my 1st transplant after 2 weeks then the 2nd the week after that. But I was a little late on both those. So Im thinking by the end of next week or mid week. They will be ready for transplant. I still want to wait for transplant before I top. Considering There will only be 2 leafs available for energy. And I need that energy to focus on growth tips. SO I may lose a few days in veg but I want to do it right. So I will wait

How many nodes do they have now? I have 5 plants about that size now and I'm waiting for the 6th node and then I'm going to cut below the 5th or 4th node and clone them. Then, they will be topped and cloned at the same time. Don't know where I came up with this, but it worked great on my Blue Mystics, which are now in flower.

As far as up potting, my schedule is based on space!! My veg space is small, so with the Blue Mystics, I waited until they were big (about a month old), and up potted and put directly into flower tent. They are doing AWESOME NOW!! I should post a pic!!

Happy Sunday :goodjob::love:

Hey man, looking good still, they are nice and healthy!

IMO, I would do your topping the same day you transplant, this way you aren't going to shock the plant twice and lose more veg time. That's how I see it anyways, get it all done at once :)

UPDATE: 18 Days From Seed

Ok so I got all my girls transplanted into their final 3 gallon fab pots. I took some BioZeus and perlite added to my FFOF soil. Transplant went great. The girls had a nice root ball and had already filled the small pot. I made sure I waited until it was time to water again to make things easier. Everything was nice and dry. After I transplanted them I watered with non phed plain water that had been bubbling for a few days. I watered until runoff. I then added soil to fill any cavities that occurred after I watered. I have all 5 in the main tent right now. Mainly cuz I was really tired and in a bit of pain. I really didnt even want to do it but I had company coming over today so I didnt want to wait. Im only going to reap what I sow, so I want to make sure even when I dont want to or dont feel like it. That I still take care of what needs to be took care of. And half ass NOTHING!!

Im still not exactly sure on what Im going to do with this 5th plant. The DC (Delicious Candy) Im thinking Im going to top it and lst it for a bit and then flip it to flower. Iv never flowered with CFL and all the tutorials for maifolding say CFL arent strong enough. Im thinking not strong enough for 18 inch buds but I dont see why you couldnt, with enough lights, run a small manifold. IDK Thoughts,,,,Ideas,,,

Here are some pictures of last night.

as you can see I did the same as last time. I took a pot thats the same as what my plant is currently in, and filled in dirt around it to make that whole. Then your root ball slides right in. IT IS SOOOO MUCH EASIER!! Im sorry I yelled lol. I got excited, but I honestly dont know why ANYONE would do it any other way. Try it once, and you will never go back. Most of you may already be doing this way. I just learned it a year or so ago. Anyway....back to the pics

This is LSD 1 & 2

Now..I again....may have mixed these next ones up. All I know is I thought I did the 2 Heavyweight Fruit Punches and then was about to do the last one..which was the Delicious Candy. And I looked to make sure I was on track and it was a HWFP. I was like. AOIFHWOEHT)@YHT H@TGUB @O(GBT!!!!! DAMN IT!!! Ok lets look and see if I can figure things out. And Im prettysure I got figured out. Out of the 3. There was really only 1 that looked kinda different. So I am going to assume/hope its the DC. See if you can tell the difference. If I was running a scrog. I wouldnt care as much. (its not the end of the world now) but Im manifolding and want to keep things level. I dont need a wildcard in there fucking things up. :)

I dont recommend the double transplant when manifolding. I mean I may be able to top and clean right now. But seems like the plant is going to need the energy from those leafs to spread roots for a couple of days. And if I chop all but the 2 top fans. It isnt just focusing on those 2 new shoots, its also focusing of expanding its root system. And all the takes energy. That comes from leafs. Keep in mind I could be talking out of my ass. This is just what is going thru my head right now. SO I am going to wait at least a couple of days to let the roots fill out. Lose a week of veg. Cuz I could have topped and cleaned a couple days ago. And then do work. I am not in a huge rush if it means better yield and quality. If anyone has experience in this department and thinks I can top and clean now let me know. My ears are always open. If not I will wait a couple of days. Then top and clean to the 3rd node. EXCEPT on the DC I am going to move it to the little tent and start LST. I will prolly top it tonight. Till next time.
:peacetwo:

Looking very good, Its Natural! Your plants look like the topping and cloning I just did today on my Carnivals and Hollands Hope. I waited too long to top them, so my clones are HUGE! I debated about not cloning because it's going to be difficult to grow during the Christmas holidays, but then....how could I not!! They are so beautiful. Great job you did -- and so incredibly neat and tidy :thumb:

UPDATE: 19 Days From Seed

I topped DC last night. Im thinking of topping and cleaning the rest tonight. That would give them 2 full growing days to fill roots out a bit. Recover a bit from the transplant. Plus its just time. Past time. So I will do what I have never done before. Strip the entire plant down to 2 leafs. I will take some pictures of the process to aid in future grows and growers. Wish me luck. :)

UPDATE: 20 DAYS FROM SEED

I started the manifold last night. I got to be honest. My initial feelings are of shame and pain. Cutting my plant in half and stripping her down just felt wrong and dirty. Plus I was late on doing it all so I lost time. If time is all I lost then Im ok. But I will say that I felt they were a little too far along. Iv never topped a plant and the top be bigger than what I left behind. And in this case. Thats what it was. Hopefully everything will be ok. But theres know way the plants like being cut like that. That wasnt a topping. It was something else Im to hi to describe. But the stalk was thick. ANYWAY enough rambling. Here we go.

OK so I counted from the bottom, up 3 nodes. And cut there. THen striped all growth under the 3rd, now top of plant.

Because my plant was so far along. My 3rd node already had growth. So I might not loose as much time. So I took some garden steaks. And drove them in to hold down the 2 shoots so they grow parallel to the ground at a 90 degree. I was and am still hesitant to drive the garden steaks into the root system. I may just use my pipe cleaners to do it with the other 2 that wasnt advanced enough to do it.

The Delicious Candy (which should prolly have her own journal.) I started LST. She was a little further along than what I usually let them get before I start LST. Its not my best job. But honestly I still dont know what Im doing with her, other than putting her in the small tent with CFLs

I took binder clips and cliped them around my fab pot so I would have places to tie off my pipe cleaners too.

Well thats it for now. I HOPE they are still kicking tonight when I check on them. I expect them to be but you never know.
Let me know what you all think.

 It's okay. The first topping is always the hardest. It gets easier...a little...sort of. :blalol:

I was thinking of using binder clips like that on my fabric pots, but I still have to buy them. Do you feel they have a good grip or do they slide a little? I saw someone else use clothes pins and keep meaning to find mine and try them as well.

Your plants are looking really good. Happy, happy babies getting haircuts.

No slide at all. Very good grip. Enough to bend over a pretty sturdy plant with only 1 binder holding it. Never had one slip. Very cheap on Amazon also.

Turns out I'll be using Velcro ties. I bought them not realizing they stick to the sides of the fabric pots really well. SweetSue uses them if you want to see how she does it. She attaches the Velcro to the fabric pot and then attaches one end of soft wire to the Velcro tie and the other end wraps around the branch for training. I imagine binder clips, clothes pins and Velcro ties are equally effective, but I sure am glad I bought those Velcro ties, and bought extra to boot, because I've been using them all around my house the last couple days. :laughtwo:

Makes sense with fab pots. Never even crossed my mind. I do love me some velcro. Although I have been swithing to the new kind. I cant think of the name right now. Snaps maybe. IDK but they look like velcro. But both sides are the same. Hard plastic spike like thinks that snap together. They hold things around the house alot better. You can hang pictures and stuff with them. Wouldnt work I dont think with the fab pots like regular velcro. But for around your house they are great. I stopped by your journal. Things are starting to pick up. About to be all kinds of action over there. :)

UPDATE: 21 DAYS FROM SEED

I watered the girls last night with regular non phed water. They took more water than I thought they would. I watered to till I got about 20 percent runoff. ALthough I really wasnt trying to. I actually just wanted to give them a good watering without runoff. As I will start nutes next round. But After I was done I wasnt satisfied with the way the dirt looked. So I gave more until runoff. Like I said. I will start a light dose of nutes next round. The girls look like they are responding well to the Manifolding. I still have NO clue what Im going to do with DC. Ill figure it out I guess. Anyway. Ill try and take some pics tonight. And Update with some pictures tomorrow.
