Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

Day number 4 above 90 here in the north east. Storms today inland are packing one hell of a punch too!
Gardens will have to hold their thirst, both loaders and my utv are down. Man when it rains it pours. Nothing getting done round here until mailman delivers parts.
I’m over this yr.
Next yr will be all about simplifying.
Hope y’all stay cool.

Damn Preston are you burning one down at 4:56 AM ??

Haha! Yup... I woke up to the sound of my sprinklers splashing on the new fence outside my bedroom window. Sprinkler head adjustment is in order... lol
Got me at like 4:15....but I get to hit both 420's today! :high-five:

Yes its all the same except you no longer have to specify an album in order to save it.
good news...
Whats your temps like up there Blew? I just looked outside and besides seeing the trees melt....I saw satan and his demons packing their shit and heading south???? WTF its bloody hot!!!
90F "feels like" 97F...it was a hot one..."only" 88F now...

We just had cottage rental guests leave and they said "it was so hot no one could sleep"...they have a/c in the cottage...no one here has a/c! I go in and they had all the blankets on the beds...so they were sleeping with blankets in the a/c bitching about being warm....Darwin somehow overlooked this family....

I sheared a bolt while adjusting an irrigation connection...in the ON position! Imagine me trying to connect a hose to contain the flow...20 seconds later I was soaked through...and then Satan's fiery anus dried me out in about 5 minutes...

Still need to fix it...maybe tomorrow when it's below 90F....

Here is the OG Kush Rolex I chopped the other day...she could have gone another week but bud rot set in....

DDA for @Ms Stank...I'm thinking this week for harvest

Sunflowers before they got roasted in the heat ....

GH after our 8-minute rainstorm...

94 here at almost 5:30 with the real feel at 100. Yeah just not for me.

"Pool, pond...pond'd be good for you"...:)

Does swimming help or hurt your back?
Don't really know.....if I stuck to swimming, I would be ok. Problem is that kids confuse me for a toy and climb all over me and I find myself throwing them everywhere. The twisting associated with throwing them off me bothers my back greatly.....but I don't feel it until I am done usually.

I have a bum shoulder (actually 2x...they like to trade off every few years) and I dreaded PT. Swimming allows me to stretch without (much) pain...I miss swimming in the winter.

The funny thing is I have lived with chronic shoulder and knee pain (lots of sports and lots of running including marathons) for many many years. Always dealt with it well. But I hardly even notice the knee or shoulder pain anymore. And when they do hurt.....its nothing compared to the nerve pain in the back. The back pain makes everything else seem easy to deal with.

Brutal.

Well I guess there are two ways of looking at it. Having dealt with this chronic nerve pain in the lower back for almost two years, I have pretty good idea of pain and discomfort. If I ever get the back fixed (which the insurance company is going to have to do after coming to a mutual agreement regarding my case here recently woot woot)...but assuming it fixes the pain, I can't imagine any of the other pains I have really bothering me anymore compared to the last two years. The shoulder hurts and the knees hurt but that pain seems like a 2 or 3 compared to my back. So everything going forward will be a cakewalk if the doctors can take away the pain.

If it doesn't take away the pain, I am pretty sure that not much pain out there will be worse long term than chronic nerve pain in the lower back.

My first thought on your earlier post was to mention something about the "silver lining"...kinda like stepping on the foot to pull the tooth...but then thought best to not trivialize....but I hear you. My wife makes thc salve and people love it for arthritis, aches, pains, whatever. I don't use it because my aches and pains are manageable...and I want to keep a moderate threshold of pain...just in case...I've always been careful of my back since I have seen relatives get crushed by bad backs.

And f'ing a...congrats on slaying the evil insurance company!

Yeah we are pretty happy with that. When I gave my attorney a diagnosis from another doctor not in the insurance racket, and it was the same recommendation for the same surgical procedure, he smiled and just nodded his head. We didn't even go in to see the judge. He gave the opposing attorney then note and they knew that they couldn't fight it anymore and I am not going away.

Its a brutal process man. If I didn't have my retirement pay from the Marine Corps and Ms Stank's income to help hold us over (and the fact I am a big believer in having a big savings account), I would have been forced to give up and be stuck working in pain just to try to keep a roof over our head. They drug this case out for over a year dude. I was supposed to have my surgery over a year ago. But then they cancelled it after it was scheduled, put me up for an IME (independent medical evaluation.....which is not independent let me tell you that!) and waited 5 months to give a decision which was that all my pain was from a 'degenerative disk issue' and any pain residing in the back was due to that and not when I blew it out move a heavy piece of medical equipment and just cut off all benefits.

It was a pain in the ass and took another 6 months once I contacted an attorney about this. I swear this system is a cluster fuck. How many families out there could have had someone fight against that shit? I would have been trying to suck it up and find something I can do just to make ends meet and would have been forced to abandon the case....which is what the insurance company is counting on. My savings account took a beating during the process and my credit card is higher than it has ever been, but we won and they will be at least performing the procedure and covering all costs associated with treatment for the back injury which is all I ever wanted. I just want to be as pain free as I was before I hurt it if possible.

I wasn't looking to make out with a bogus settlement or any of the other horse shit that goes on with these cases. Just fix the back and let me go earn my own money. Fuck me man, I have been working since I was 10. I love working, and love being able to work, being reliant on others is not a strong point for me. I have been going stir crazy this whole time. Can't sit for long cause it hurts. Can't stand up for long cause it hurts. Can't move well cause it hurts to twist or bend. About the only thing I can do is smoke pot and manage the pain and work with the girls and the outdoor garden.

But thankfully we will be moving forward in regards to trying to fix it. At least I don't feel like the insurance company has be bent over the railing and they aren't using any lube anymore. The light is at the end of the tunnel. Woot woot!!!

Sorry Blew, rant over. This has been a very long 2 years with a shit ton of stress and frustration that I don't generally release too often.
