Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

I lost it once last winter... thankfully on a warm day.... still got down to 5°c inside the tent
5C is survivable...but not much chance below that. On a cloudy day my GH is only 10-15F higher than outside temps...and I saw it as low as 18F (-8C) last winter....

So after 2 full days I have a pretty good idea on the 4x4 tent temps in the Cottage. I run the lights 20/4 with the dark period being 4-8pm...thought there being it's dark and as warm as the space will be at its warmest with whatever solar gain gathered during the day. I also had the fan OFF. First day/night I had the 10" top vent fully open and the next morning my high/lows temps were 49/72F. Cinched that top vent closed and, with the entire tent sealed, same readings today were 50/72F. Overall, I am thinking these are decent temps, and I am going to install the fan high and blowing the higher warm air downward...this should also lower my RH which was 70% this morning as I watered the 2x bigger plants yesterday (1 gallon each).

With an early morning temp of 10F today, I can live with these temps!:)

At least those temps are workable for you.
Well, they're steady which at least gives me a good reference point...I installed my small oscillating fan on the tent ceiling which should push some of the radiant heat from the lamp downward (and burn off some RH).

Well, I am not getting temps much higher than 68F and that just won't cut it. I debated adding our heat bulb (which we use for chicks) and then I figured if I am paying for the electric I might as well get some light! So after reading @HayStack informative thread on CMH lighting i pulled the trigger and got a 315W Phillips bulb and a Hydro Crunch fixture. Hoping to get significant additional heat and light...so now I am germinating and adding more plants!

I was gonna get a cmh a while ago, but funds dried up.
I was thinking of another LED but I really need the heat and it was at a price point I could manage. I am curious to see how much electricity they use.

Only 315 watts i think, I was eyeing one up at the hydro store.... his ballast was attached but I was amazed of how cool it was ... I know that not what you want to hear. I could lay my hand on it no problem

I'm pretty sure you are going to like the CMH. It will definitely add some heat to your tent. Which one did you get?
Nevermind, I found it. IT looks the same as mine. That's the one that I think is the good one.
