Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

i need to invest in a snowblower for the house... I dont mind shovelling but we keep getting ice/snow winters and chipping out the entire driveway sucks balls.
I learned my lesson a few winters ago when there was too much accumulating from plowing...had to bring in a loader and move it. I have a front mounted 4' blower on my tractor...it works very well.

I punted on the DDA...grabbed the area of soil where the seeds were and tossed it into 2x smaller containers...if they pop, great. I germed and dropped Berry Bomb and Berry Ryder (prizes from POTM...Bomb Seeds) in the 7-gallon pots.
Fine choices! I did too. I decided to go gorilla bomb, strawberry cough, cbd cream and cheese, and white rhino. My DDA's never got delivered. POTM seeds are going to kill sounds to me. Good growing!

Today looks perfect...no wind and sunny.
Get after it homie! LoL

I've made the mistake of waiting too long to "batten down the hatches" before shit weather. 20' long sheets of tin roof can actually fly like a feather. LoL who'd a thunk it!

Glad you're ahead of that mess buddy. I'm already not the biggest fan of roofing, but inclimate weather makes it miserable, for sure!

Yup, we are using metal roofing...love installing the stuff, though during a breeze it can be problematic. We did the first half Monday and the wind was 15-20...a little more than we liked but we got 1" of rain Tues and gale winds day after, Tomorrow 3-5" of snow, so we have perfect timing. And, when it is 15F (currently) outside with a high of 31F, we like when the sun is out! This (hot) summer I saw guys installing a large roof in our area for about 2 weeks...that is a miserable job in those conditions.

Last roofing job I was on almost ended real bad. I watched a laborer drop the seaming tool from up top of a 3 story lakehouse. Almost killed a guy working below. I'm sketched out about bidding metal roof jobs since that one because I would have to go at it with my own crew. Hiring subs isn't an option for me on jobs like that. I think alot of people underestimate how dangerous them tin roofs can be.

Good to hear you will have ideal conditions.

Get's exponentially more dangerous when you start cutting that stuff as well. I only use it, when possible, on square areas so I can order it all in the right lengths. I did my barn by myself (carrying each sheet up the ladder!) and this week I have a helper that makes it 10x easier. He hands me a 11' section, I grab it, then yell "got it...move!"...even with factory cuts that stuff can be a falling blade. But nothing covers a roof quicker and, imo, better. Sheds snow great.

I'm with ya there! :high-five:

I've just learned to be cautious with it. But, definitely an awesome roof. We're pretty rural down here. LoL
Even the million dollar homes have tin-tops. LoL

the calm before the storm! Hope you get it all finished up!

we had a little john deere tractor with front mounted blower on the farm.... But the landlords never look after their equipment and they fired it up last year and the driveshaft for the auger snapped off, kicked back and ruined some of the gears, oil everywhere lol...a little bit of grease goes a long way...

21F with a 35mph wind = 9F. Calling for snow on Friday. Winter is here...

We got it today. Was snowing 3-4" per hour. Since snow here is way early, 1/2 of the cars didn't even have snow/all season tires on. Full on summer tires. The other 1/2 of the drivers were freaked and forgot how to drive. As soon as stop = no go.

I'm sitting in my Tacoma 4x4 with snow tires on shaking my head. I couldn't take it at one point so had to do evasive maneuvers n drive on the ahem shoulder aka field to get around some yahoos. Was finally fun off the road! Had to get my swim in. hahaha

I had my wife's car (Outback) studded winter tires put on Nov 9...thought it was early...not so!

First snow day of the winter...double fist pumps from the kids at 5:30am...like Christmas...school days they sleep late, snow days they get up early...

That's a great part of kids! I sure had fun with mine. Still do. Now in early 30s and late 20s.
