Mago: Texas style

Sweeeet plants brother Mago,^sup fillabong?

hey pete long time no see :cheesygrinsmiley:

so mago, when their indoors they dont produce fatter or bigger buds? weird. either way it looks like danky :cheesygrinsmiley: still cant wait on the indoor!

It's more about,,
how they are fed and watered than indoor or outdoor,
so it seems to me.

The BushBabes, 12/12 or less from seed.
about 2 weeks and that's a boy in the foreground.

During the triple digit days, ever night.
I've cut back now to once every couple days.

I have only been feeding once a week- 8 dys.
I could bump that up to 4dys, I know they can take it.

I just took these too early.
Their sisters are packin' on the weight.
We had thunderstorms last night and they blow everything over.
Took the last Blue Grass,
she was covered in dirt due to already havin' been blown over by Ike
and bein' right down in the sand.
We cut her and rinsed her then propped everybody else up.
Looks to me like these could go past end of Oct.,
Blue Grass looks to be maybe 30-40% amber
Blue Bastard about the same.
Uluru are all cloudy
PureSativa is clear

Yeapper,
took the first ones(Sativa Dom crosses, MBG & MBB) too damn early.
Blue Grass at 70+ days and she'll go over a qp.
But I did want to see what they would do outside and now I know :cheesygrinsmiley:
oct16_005.jpg

Next year/fall,
I'll plan to not harvest them till end oct or later and
just put out a larger BushBaby crop to hold me over.
Not to mention,
SailorBabe's Generation One will also finish in late sept-early oct.
She's a more Indica dom cross, of somethin'.
A bright lime green bud that sorta has a diesel taste to it.

Verrrrry pretty plant. :)

Hey Mago...I thought I was the only pirate around here? Arggg. Gotta love the infamous bandana. Gotta love those girls more though...So far from your personal experience which strain out of your collection do you think is most potent?

Oh No, I was born a pirate, to a dairy farmer,
then I got to be One.
USCG '78-'82, a PuddlePirate :cheesygrinsmiley:

The Blue Grass, for sure
But the Bastards ain't far behind.
They both have very different tastes and smells.
Blue Grass is higher skunk and the Bastards have a piney smell.

And,
The Uluru is a bit better than the MBG, so far.
They are just now gettin' dry. Trimmed and bagged today.
oct22_004.jpg

These were suppose to be virgins But(another one)
SailorBabe and the Boy Ulurus reached out and touched 'em.
Now if I just didn't have to grow 'em out to figure out which is which.
The Uluru momas x uluru boys, I'll let go longer.
They have a lovely blue color to the edges of the seed hulls.
These are the virgin clones from SailorBabe:
oct22_002.jpg

After extensive tasting and testing over the last few days/weeks:
Seed crop smoke is both different in taste and smell in all strains, from virgin crop smoke
and a little more potent too :cheesygrinsmiley:
Only potency and weight seem to change with longer flowering times.

Looks like we ain't gonna make the Rumble.
I'll be ready next yr., for Damn Sure!!! :cheesygrinsmiley:
Car transmission and low yields are gonna keep Us home.
I may also get a little more cure time next year.

Night time temps down to high-mid 40s
daytime down to high 70s
PureSativa is gettin' fed every 4 days and watered every 2-3 days.
Pic of the one in the garden.
I try to keep one close
so I got a good idea when the ones in the wild are ready.
oct28_0_003.jpg

DaStars Left Arm(BlueBastard strain, hermie femmed seed)
is ready,
an 8 month old clone of DaStar a in 3gal. pot,
left to fend for herself in the open field.
I did water her maybe once a week and fed only 4 times in her life.
Found her wilted a couple times
(she actually wilted fewer times than the ones in the Wild)
and she never hermied :cheesygrinsmiley:
She's my Stress test subject and a virgin.
She was placed half way from the garden to the Wild
so I could find out if pollen would make it that far.
It didn't and the Wild will be a Virgin Zone, For Sure :cheesygrinsmiley:
oct28_003.jpg

She is the basic BlueBastard,
large cola and lots of smaller lateral colas/buds.
I love how they drop their fan leafs when it gets cool.

We're droppin' beans, instead of re-veggin'.
Lots of beans to sort through soooo
Might as well get started :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hi DaMagoman,
Did you ever resolve your seed pod thing from the aero? I heard some guy use a 35mm film container and cut it up like a net pot (Well maybe not a net but alot of holes.) Put a piece of sponge in it and you can make a little cover with foil w/hole in the middle. Then cover w/humidity dome. I saw some photos and they really looked like it would work well.
I use the aero for both seeds and clones. They work very nicely using the Herb setting. ( I think its 18 hrs on and the pump runs when the light is on. WOrks bestest w/ cuttings.
I have a few of the the little baskets that came with it. I just cut 2 pieces of rock wool to fit there, (of course rinse and wet it first.) Take my cuttings, dip in clonex, then into the wool and little basket. Every clone I have placed there for rooting did very well. I thought the seedlings looked a little leggy but the clones did not. I used a mild veg nute and they seemed to like it. ANd in my experience they root quickly and the roots look beautiful and healthy. All ready for the next phase of life. I rarely make more than 3-4 clones tho.
Your crop looks great man. I live in Texas and am very familiar with the limestone areas where you are. The fertile spots are down in the valleys of the hill country. It must be hard to plant anything there. Most organic materials for crops have to be hauled in. Juniper likes to take over everything and suck all the available water around. But I would do all that just to live out down by the Frio. There is pretty country and nice clean air and just nice...
Your growa are remarkable,...

Thanks :cheesygrinsmiley:
Yeapper, I did run a couple batches of clones through it.
I haven't used it since I shutdown the inside back in apr-may.
I had to hide it when peoples came over,
and in the attic, it was a pain to tend.
Thanks for the film canister tip :cheesygrinsmiley:

I did find a shop in Austin that carries them,
my favorite coffee shop and garden center on SoCo.
Don't really won't to mess with it till I have meters and such for a Hydro setup.
It must be hard to plant anything there. Most organic materials for crops have to be hauled in. Juniper likes to take over everything and suck all the available water around.
Not to bad, we got plenty oak trees producing afall leaf harvest we turn into compost.
Yeapper, nothin' a couple dump truck loads cain't solve.
Those Junipers make good cover too.

Uluru smoke report, from the seed crop smoke,
It'sss Greeeeeeeat :cheesygrinsmiley:
We'll see what it does in a virgin model harvested at 50/50, in a few months.
Icky Sticky Sativa,
should have seen my fingers after collecting all the seeds from the buds.
rubbed 'em around and got some nice goo balls to drop in the bong.
Most excellent seed crop, less than 10% white/immature.
I never got much smell out of them.
Blue/purple tint to the bud edges as they finished.
Shouldn't be a problem for them to stay indoors.

Thanks Harry and Stoner :cheesygrinsmiley:

I couldn't believe how the PureSativa looks,
all covered in white hair and about twice as thick as they were the last time I looked.
I'm thinkin' at least 20 days, they look like they may not go that long.
We shall see. Get pics of 'em this week.
Camera is out of town for a day or so.

Heard from the mid-west today,
very nice run and about to bless me with a sampler pack.
THC content at 20 on the Uluru and wowwei(sp) Mullaway's W strain.
I think it's cause they ain't far enough south,
that angle of the dangle for max UV Thang
should be about 24, from what I hear.
So we'll see what the Spring Virgins bring :cheesygrinsmiley:

Oh Hell Ya', 2 outdoor crops a year. Mylar
Just need a House and Da'Shits On :cheesygrinsmiley:

Still got a mouse in the attic. poison bait goin' out tonight,
I cain't seem to get the New Fanglrd mouse traps to work.
They won't set for me.

Got the Bush Babies and Blue Grass Gen5 sproutin'.
a Uluru, some SailorBabe and Blue Bastards Gen5, goin' too.
I like to wait at least a month before plantin' fresh beans.
They seem to germinate at a higher rate.

About time for another batch of Butter the Trim&Trash pot is close to full.
The last a batch will be PureSativa.
She's about 25-50 cloudyToClear now.

Smoke report on BlueBastard(Star'sArm)
went to 80% amber at LastOfOct and is as good as the early Blue Grass.
I really can't say anything about Uluru,
at this point since it was all a seed crop.
It is more potent than my Best,
turns blue in the buds and will be an excellent addition to MyStrains :cheesygrinsmiley:
Stays short!!!
and ain't real stinky either.
