Thanks, Kush. It feels good to have your good wishes. You know, I never thought of that. I COULD use both lights at once during flowering. But I've got another idea for that 600w led... While the 1000w is flowering, I'm going to take cuttings from it and flip them from flowering into vegging again and keep them under the 600w led panel. Then when the first flowering is done, then I can move the clippings that are vegging over into flowering under the scrog again. And start again. This is my plan. But I've got to make sure that before I go to far along with this plan that these are the strains that I want to work with. I'm considering Northern Lights really strongly, but do they only come in auto format? I'm not sure why, but I've got this feeling that they're an auto plant. I'll have to check that out. If so, I think I read that autos don't work well with scrogs. Not sure if that's true or not. Do you know if autos are okay as a scrog? I'll head over to leafly.com to find out if they are only autos or not. Might as well head on over now!

I guess NL are not an auto strain. Don't know why I had that in my head. Still wondering whether or not autos can be used in a scrog, though.

Northern lights can be auto or fem. autos typically aren't used for scrog, they are mainly LST'd and topped

Here's some info that I thought you coco growers might be interested in. I pulled this from PE636's grow journal, where someone had pulled it from somewhere else. You know how the internet it... But, I digress...

1. Coco holds 30% oxygen when fully saturated.
2. If you let coco dry out, you will get lower yields and most likely nutrient issues because when the coco dries out, it leaves dry spots, where the roots dry up and die. That causes issues.
3. When you water every day or twice a day or ever three times a day, you are replacing all the oxygen the plant used up, thus letting it grow faster. You are also replacing any nutrients the plant used up with fresh nutrients. This is why I water every day with nutrients.
4. You get hydroponic results. Fast growth. Bigger yields.

This is the watering/feeding regime I've been following ever since seeing this video. I'm convinced that that is why my girls are doing so much better than they were even just a few days ago. It certainly hasn't hurt them, that's for sure.

Yup, my girls are currently getting fed every 6 hours, so 4 times a day. They love it and you definitely see the difference vs your typical soil grow

if you wanted to go even further you could mix 50/50 with either hydroton or perlite. That kind of drainage would require 6 feedings a day, this is why it compares to hydro. The results are very similar

I've got about 35% perlite in with the coco right now. It seems to give me great drainage. I'm feeding 3 times a day and yes, my girls are loving it. They've really taken off since adopting this regime.

About the book: At 5 yrs old, Max and his older brother Gary are playing in a park when Max is abducted. He returns to his brother's life 17 yrs later, after living a life of child prostitution and living on NYC streets. Max, Gary and Gary's new girlfriend, Jean, must learn how to help Max deal with his former life, while evading the evil Quinn who seeks to re-abduct Max for his own nefarious purposes. From Gary's apartment in Stuyvesant Town to The Mission homeless shelter to an abandoned subway station under NYC streets, Max, Gary and Jean must learn how to love each other and themselves while evading Quinn's retribution.

Okay, so here's this morning's update...

Wow! My demented little girls are exploding. With growth, not pyrotechnics! So, here's the pics:

This is the smallest of my girls. It's a Big Bud. Hopefully you can see the new leaves sprouting in these pics. Maybe not, but I can see them with the naked eye, no problem.

This is my second Big Bud, also the second smallest. Again, hope you can see the leaves that I can see.

Now this is my smallest Pineapple Express. Again, the leaves should be apparent in this pic. They are GROWING!

And this is my final girl. She's growing just huge (by my standards, at least). Loving her new growth. Just lovin' it.

So here are two pics of my setup. You can see I got the mylar up last night. I think it's helping already. And you can see my big, hunking clunker of a heater to the left, and the trays with water in them I'm using for humidity. Both the trays and the plants are sitting still on a heat mat, so it helps the humidity. The heater is pointed toward the wall, NOT the plants, so they're safe. The heater has been up for, what, two nights now? It's helping a lot. Got my temp up between 79 - 82 degrees F. Much better than the 68 degrees F it was at, that's for sure. Damn this trailer is cold in the winter! And the light at this distance seems to be working well. I thought it might be a little close, but they seem to have really taken off ever since lowering it. Anyway, here's the two pics of the setup (one is a little fuzzy, sorry about that. I deleted what I thought was the fuzzy one, but I deleted the wrong pic!):

Looking good! Like someone said earlier, the seedling stage seems painfully slow at first but once they start getting some roots the growth is quite impressive!
I also have some back pain issues(thankfully not as bad as yours) from a herniated disc, and general wear and tear having been in construction for 20+years sure takes a toll. A lot of days it goes mostly unnoticed until I move the wrong way or lift something a bit too heavy then it quickly gets crazy with pains right down to both feet, muscles spasming enough to curve my spine etc etc.....The point being I once acquired an ounce of Pink Kush and it was just amazing for the pain and spasms as well as being delicious in general! Just thought I'd mention it since you are interested in strains for pain.

PE636 -- thanks for that info about the Pink Kush. I'll put it on the list of seeds to possibly buy. Your explanation of how your pain feels is very similar to how mine works. I feel it almost every day like that, and even when it's not as bad as that, I still feel remnants of it every day. Every move, every muscle working, every quick movement will send me into spasms of pain. I've been on Fentanyl now, 200 mcg/hr, for 6 years and have been getting shots in my back and epidurals for just as long. The shots help for about 2 - 3 days out of the week, and then it's just as bad again. I hate it. And all from moving out of an apartment one morning and going for a run that evening. The next morning I couldn't move. Had to crawl to the bathroom to piss, and screamed in pain the whole way. Sometimes it gets so bad that I cannot even get out of bed and my wife has to hold a jar for me to piss in while I'm lying in bed. Incredibly demeaning. On those days, I'm not sure if even the cannabis would help -- but I'm hoping so. I know the Fentanyl doesn't help on those days.

Thanks for sharing about your pain. It helps to know that there are others out there using the herb for the same reasons. Or at least, sometimes! :smokin2:

Ha! Yes it's a wonderful multi purpose plant! I find that even the mood lift and so on helps with the pain on a mental level, even if the physical pain is still there it somehow seems more tolerable and not so worrying.

Besides, the physical pain, I'll be medicating for my anxiety and depression, too. Kind of a whole whack of things going on in my stupid body. So the mood lifting and the anti-anxiety effects will be huge for me. I'm really trying to find a selection of seeds that I can grow that will work on various different ailments for me. I'm thinking Northern Lights will be good for the anxiety and depression AND the pain, actually. And this Pink Kush sounds like a good one for me, too. Apparently, besides working for pain (which according to Leafly.com it is well-known for) it works for depression, stress and anxiety. Sounds like a good one for me, too. I'll probably have to mix and match. A little of this in the bowl, and little of that. Like a can of nuts!

10 to 11 week flowering ain't bad at all. The worst I have ever flowered was Malawi I had brought in through a distributor. He got me this strain out Spain, and they got it from Africa. Amazing smoke really really was.
Now the downfall 4 months to flower that sucker my god I wanted to punch that plant lol. But I loved her
