Magnus8's Canna Cream, Body Butter & Canna Lotion Study Hall

For headaches I hit the Dorsal Medial Radii (DMR), which is located at the top of your back. It’s where the hump forms from bending over our devices. You’re best to hit it early on, but we’ve been successful at stopping a migraine at the beginning of the debilitating pain by applying there, working up to the hairline, at the temples, and on the sternum, rubbing up the neck.

I like to hit the lymph nodes on either side of the neck too.

My daughter uses the cream for cramps, applied at the small of the back and on the lower abdominals. She claims that stops the pain for hours.

For endometriosis I’d suggest those same spots, but also consider cannabis bath bombs. Soaking in epsoms mixed with infused cannabis oil can be incredibly therapeutic.
This is great! Thank you for your help! Turns out my aim was off and I was just hitting my hairline area and not the DMR. I hope that will help when I get the hormone-induced headaches, which I have found nothing to help with those kind.....yet! I will pass on the info about the bath as well as the area to massage the oil I gave to my relative. I hope it will help her! I used to suffer from endometriosis but haven't had been symptomatic since the birth of my child. Thankfully!

Hi late jumper here, going to used pumpkin seed oil, Shea butter, emu oil and my beeswax from home.

Bush living here so going to used oil heater, jars and low slow heat. Have found that trapping the steam when decarbing and having it go back into the bud and out again to increase potency. I think if u use some thing that promotes sweat return it's the turpenes and other goodies being returned and re sweated.

@InTheShed, you use your oils straight, without wax? Somehow I missed that. Are you using the roller dispensers?

This is what comes of my not reading from the beginning. I pretty much looked for something that would work and stopped looking when I found it. I know.... so out of character. And I give a lot of this pain cream away too.

I wonder if those that don't have a positive response to my simple cream are doing so because of a penetration issue? It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

My creams work well with wax, and I'm not alone, so somethings going on. However, if we can simplify the process and at the same time get better penetration, I'm all for it. The oil I use on my face has no wax in it, but it's coconut, and I know that means I'm still not getting the best penetration.

So much going on right now. The daughter shared that once she get comfortable with growing she'll explore topicals so I don't have to. She has the better nose.

I'd like to take a better look at your personal recipe, if you don't mind. :battingeyelashes:

Hi Sue,

Just to chime in here, I use my oils straight, too, without any wax. They absorb better adn I find I get better, faster relief. Just sayin'. PS - I have some goodnews to announce, but you will have to read below!

Good morning, everyone! What a wonderful day, isnt it?

I hope this little note finds you all well.

I have an announcement to make.

For any of you who is interested in reading my new novel, Finding Max...

In Finding Max, five-year old Maximilian Aldertree and his eight-year old brother, Gary, are playing in a playground one hot summer day. Gary has been tasked by their drunken mother to watch over his little brother, but while he is preoccupied on the monkey bars, Maximilian is abducted by a stranger driving past. 17 years later the two brothers meet again, quite by chance. Gary now works as a social worker in a NYC homeless shelter when Max comes in seeking a comfy bed and a hot meal. Now the two brothers must learn to love and trust one another, along with Jean, Gary's new girlfriend, all while outwitting and outrunning the evil Quinn who seeks to re-abduct Max for his own nefarious purposes. But Finding Max is not your everyday, run-of-the-mill thriller -- no way! Throughout the three books planned for this trilogy, as the plot progresses the reader is faced with issues of hunger, homelessness and human trafficking. Finding Max is a novel that will curl itself up inside your heart and squat there, refusing to vacate the premises. It is a story you will, quite literally, likely never forget.

Have I piqued your interest yet? Dont you want to know what happened to Maximilian all those years of captivity? I know I did; that is why I wrote the book!

Well, the good news is that Finding Max is now available for pre-order from both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca Either site will be able to sell you a copy of the print version of thebook already, but not yet the digital version. The way a pre-sale is supposed to work is that you order the book during the presale and then the book arrives in your mailbox the day it is released. Like magic, right? Well, there seems to be a glitch with the preorder period for Finding Max and the way it usually works. Turns out that everyone who has been buying Finding Max during the pre-order period has already been receiving the book -- weeks early! Isnt that just too cool? So you could be posting postive reviews all over the internet even before the book is released. What power, in the palm of your hand, flowing right through your fingertips! The power to control the behemoth Amazon!!!

So Im going to try to put a link to the book in both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca so that anyone who is interested can purchase the book with ease. So those pics of the book cover artwork are both live links to either Amazon.com or Amazon.ca.

Oh, and the book is written under my pseudonym: Darren M. Jorgensen. Jorgensens is an old family name that I chose, Darren is my actual given name, though I am known to my friends and family as Magnus, my middle name because both my father and I have the same first name, so to cut down on confusion at home I always went by my middle name, Magnus.

So there you have it. After almost 2 years of work and work and more work, my novel, Finding Max, is now available for sale. Wow! How amazing. I cannot tell you how proud I am of myself on this date in history. Oh, and I even know who the first sale went to. My friend Sarah, who posted a pic of her holding the book on my Facebook Fanpage for the book. Please, be my guest and check out these two online properties. Sign on as a friend on the Facebook FindingMaxTrilogy fanpage -- Id love to see you there. I promise you, it is a well-run site. Well of course it is, silly! I am running it.

Okay, so scroll back up to the top of this message and if you live in the US, then click on the first image of the book. If you live in Canada, please click on the second image of the book.

HEY! Finding Max could be in YOUR hands by the end of this coming week!

Okay, so I know this is an advertisement blast, but I only do it because so many of you have walked this publication walk with me. You have been privy to the ups and downs of this whole writing, editing, publishing process. You have been with me almost the entire way. Given that, I just figured that some of you would be interested in reading Finding Max.

One favour: If you DO purchase a copy of Finding Max from either Amazon site, would you please be kind enough to go back to the Amazon site once you have finished the book and post a candid, HONEST review for my novel? Statistics prove that, faced with the prospect of purchasing a new book from an unknown author, most people will check out the reviews of that book before deciding to purchase. If they are unable to find any or just a few reviews, they are likely to pass on the purchase, even if those reviews are favourable.

So I will bid you adieu and leave you with your thoughts. If you DO decide to purchase the book, would you please be kind enough to let me know so that I can keep a sort of tally of how many copies are being sold. And once you do begin to read Finding Max, hey, how about telling your friends about it? Maybe they will, in turn, tell other friends about it. And maybe word of mouth will push the sales of Finding Max sky high. Maybe not, either. But lets try it anyway, okay? I would appreciate your every effort to help spread the word.

Until then, I bid you all adieu. Wishing you all a grand weekend spent reading all kinds of wonderful things.

Magnus.

I just ordered it from Amazon. It didn’t say preorder anywhere. It even had free nextday shipping. Congrats on being published. I can’t say the Thriller aisle is one I often go down, but wth support the community right? :thumb:

I’ll let you know what I think of it.

Hey Doob!

Hey, thanks for supporting me and Finding Max! You wont be disappointed -- it really is a great book, and Im not just saying that because I wrote it, but because that is what everyone, including the senior editor at the publishing house, keeps saying. So enjoy the read, and please do let us all know what you think of the novel. And if you have a moment, could you post your review on Amazon, too? It really does help future sales for me when I have a ton of reviews for potential customers to view.

All my best,
Magnus.

The amazon.com USA link is busted above, but this one should do

Hey Radogast!

How are things? I am truly sorry, everyone, for my extended absence. It hasn't been because I wanted to stay away all that time, but I was just very, very busy all year long. Trust me, really busy. Now I know what it is really like to have a career rather than just a job.

But it looks to me like you maybe even purchased it. If you did, oh, my friend, thank you so very much.

All my best,
Magnus!

I purchased your book, Finding Max, this morning. Due here May 23-25.

It's silly of me to write books and not pay for other author's books - then again, I haven't submitted any of my stories for publication., so I'used to not getting paid for what I write :)

Hey Radogast! I had no idea you were a writer , too. You should have mentioned it to me. I love meeting other writers and it is kinda fun to meet one here, too. So you purchasd my book. Thank you so very much. you have no idea how much this pleases me. I hope you will be kind enough to post an HONEST review on Amazon when you have finished reading it. these reviews, even if they are not glowing reviews, help sale a ton. Without reviews, no one who doesnot know me will buy the book. Even if the reviews are mediocre, if there are enough of them, then that will help the book to sell. I am not sure why, but those are the stats right from Amazon. If you book has reviews it is much more likely to sell well than if it doesn't. So, with that said, I am sure you understand how important these reviews are. And also, if you have time, and IF YOU DONT MIND, could you then tell our friends here what you thought of the book? I hope so, because it would please me to no end to have friends from here buy my book and recognize me for the writer I think I am. So far, I have gotten three reader reviews on Finding Max whiich are posted on Amazon. One four star review and 2 five star reviews! I am so pleased. Happy as a pig in shit, really. So anyway, in case you are interested, here is the link for my Facebook Fanpage for the novel. If you sign up there, you will get notifications from me about hhow the book is faring and how well it is sellinng. I also try and do short, one or two minute videos each day, just talking about whatever is happening with the book. I am trying to make this site fun and interesting, and I would love your input if you were a member. Dont know if you are into that, but anyone who wants to sign on to the fanpage is welcome. Believe me, anyone is welcome.

So with all that said in such a looooong paragraph, I will now sign off, leaving you all with a feew links to check out. Hopefully, the powers that be wont bar the links from appearing...

With that, I bid you all adieu. Safe travels, and keep your chin up.

Best,
Magnus.

I have written two and a half books that fall generally in the romance novel category

Book 1 (54,000 words) explores and explains by examples the erotic world of whips, bondage, pony play and other BDSM pleasures. This is about 70% a primer in extreme erotica and 30% a story of romantic relationships. This book was written in one month about 10 years ago for the NaNoWriMo challenge.

Book 2 (109,000 words) begins when a young woman agrees to a public sex ceremony with a man she has fantasized about to revive a failing New England town. She finds herself initiated into a world of spells, helpful spirits, witch politics, and personal and professional growth. This book is about 40% erotica, 30% witchy grimoire, and 30% a novel of romance and adventure. This book was written in 4 months two years ago.

Book 3 (30,000 words - incomplete) is about a young woman escaping an oppressive family building a life for herself in a town where people with unusual abilities congregate to remain safe and hidden from the mundane world. So far, it is about 60% detective novel and 40% a coming of age novel. It has a brewing romance, but no sex scenes. This was a conscious choice to avoid writing another erotic novel. I had been writing this for about 2 months this last winter, when I put the project on hold.

I have written more engaging descriptions that attempt to lure one into reading a book, but I went with pithy and factual to give you and idea of how I haven't really settled down into a genre or written a second story in the same world. I feel I owe it to repeat readers to write novels with a similar feel :)

I mention the amount of time writing because I was struck by your statement that Finding Max was written in 8 days. To me this shows the inspiration ideas fueling a drive to write. When I write, I set the initial stage and create characters, then the characters write the story. I often plan to write one way, but find my characters mostly do what they want to do, and new characters step into change things without my direction. I plan elaborate 2 chapter scenes in my head and write them in 2 paragraphs then write something unplanned.

For a couple of years, I tried writing stories where I began with chapters 1 and 2 in mind and tried to write to a middle moment and an ending. This is because I have read publishers want novels written this way. Those stories died slow and clumsy deaths. That process doesn't work for me. I enjoy exploring the story rather than driving it somewhere.

I will post an honest review of your first published novel after I read it. It is due to arrive on Thursday.

I will post an honest review of your first published novel after I read it. It is due to arrive on Thursday.

Wow, Radogast, I am so impressed! I had no idea you were a writer, too. Why havent you mentioned it to me until now? Jeesh! It is always nice to meet another writer, however that happens. And i must correct one misreading of yours. You mentioned that I wrote the first 91,000 words of Finding Max in 8 days. It was actually 12 days that I wrote it in. Eight days -- wow. I cannot imagine writing 91,000 words in 8 days. That would kill me. Or my wife would for doing it. Oh well, those wife-bots... you never can tell when they're going to just whip out a butcher knife and plunge it into your back, right? Okay, there's the story-maker at work again.

I am actually in a bit of a dilemma, a crisis of goods. My publisher has indicated that if sales for Finding Max go well (and thanks so much for purchasing a copy; I hope you love it!), then they will consider publishing the second and third books in the trilogy. I mean, what is a trilogy without 2 more books, eh? But recently this new idea popped into my head. I had this image that popped into my mind, similar to how the first chapter of Finding Max came to me, and anyway in this image a 5 or 6-year old child is at the computer Skyping with his parents who are on a business trip. While he is on Skype with them, an intruder sneaks in and murders the parents while they are at the computer talking to their child via Skype. Then the killer bends down and looks into the computer and realizes that it is open to Skype and a young childs face is looking back at him -- and can obviously now pick him out as the murderer. So begins another thriller!

And you know what? I am so frigging obsessed by this new idea that I have no idea how the hell Im ever going to sit down and write two other books before I get to write this new one. Damn. Foiled again. With having to write, edit and publish two more books before I get to the Skype story, Im kinda jonesing for something new to sink my teeth into. And I think this Skype story has a TON of potential for becoming a great, exciting, chase em down and kill em thriller for me to work on. And I know I have the skills to pull it off.

Anyway, I'm just blathering and blathering so I'll sign off now. Hope you are well and that you absolutely LOVE Finding Max! And I cannot wait to see your review.

You could insert your skype scene into one of your trilogy books, as an incentive to write them quick, then split off the scene into a standalone thriller after the trilogy is completed. See how I imagined your life as easy peasy. :)

8000 words a day is impressive. My pattern is 1-3 hours late at night with 1000-2000 words for 6-7 nights a week. Wait 3-6 months after completion and then read and edit. I can write any time of day, but late at night, I avoid interruptions.

I'm still on this board waiting for harvest and desire to coincide to make an absorbent linament type oil.

I have 1ml of 85% THC dispensary oil I could use as an ingredient.

Today's Mail

Hey Radogast!

Betcha I know what you are doing right now. Settled in to read a good book, are you? Well, I hope you either love what you read or at least respecting the quality of the words, even if you don't like the book!

All my best,
Magnus.

Funny, I'm a novelist too! Just released #15 last month. Every book I write is my new favorite. LOL

Back to the topic at hand, I'm growing some high CBD plants for a family member, and I'm a little disappointed to read they don't make for good pain relief topicals. Luckily my "patient" likes edibles, and I wouldn't mind using them myself for pain relief while I work without the high. (Arthritis in the hands is a bitch when you earn your living at a keyboard.)

I'm thinking now that I should try some from my recreational stash to make a pain topical. Thank you all so much for the recipes and instrux! I'ma get some of those blue roller bottles for sure.

I know that SweetSue was interested to find out if anyone was making topicals from high CBD strains, so if you ever do that, please report the results back here! We're accumulating a great body of knowledge.
:Namaste:

OK! Will do. I have some Painkiller XL coming down this weekend, but it'll be another month+ before it's cured.

Does it matter whether the herb is cured before making topicals? I would assume so, but it doesn't hurt to ask. :)
