MacG's Afgooey - White Widow - Hog - Mystery Plants - In/Outdoor Soil Grow - Insane!

Re: MacG's Afgooey - White Widow - Hog - Mystery Plants - In/Outdoor Soil Grow - Insa

Hi Shaggie! :)

Your totally right about the Kill All is Food grade Diotomatious earth. :high-five:

MY last outdoor grow....I treated the ground with non-food grade Diotomatious earth. It slices and dices any bugs that try to walk on it. I left it out on the ground for about week before I started my grow, then washed it away before I put my girls on a raised platform above it.....didn't have too many bugs after that. :high-five:

check out the FOOD grade DIO. Earth.... you can eat it... and its good for your body does things like clean your colon and helps your nails grow (wife loves it)
its also not bad in the end of flowering as there arnt any bad property's to it

dont eat the non-food grade of course as its really bad.....was originated for swimming pools

Hey Shaggie. :)

Talk about being careful with something..that was me when I had the non food grade. It did it's job though.
Man I only have half a colon anyway.:grinjoint: Your wife will love Hawaii....hair and nails grow very fast here.
It's odd that I didn't find food grade when I was looking for it. Believe I'll change search engines. Hope all is going well in your world. :bravo:

Re: MacG's Afgooey - White Widow - Hog - Mystery Plants - In/Outdoor Soil Grow - Insa

Thanks to all for keeping this journal alive!:) It's been another week of mega hours and very short nights. I don't have time for pics today for an update but I can give you all a short written update.

All the plants indoor/outdoor suffered from a major hit of nute burn. I flushed them with H2O and then I flushed them again with Clearex this past week. It was "all hands on deck" this week getting through the process, in which my wife also known as GOG (Goddess of the Garden):) helped a ton! I severely trimmed all the dead and dying stuff off and they are now in recovery mode. My best guess is the plants did not like the combination of nutes I fed them. So not exactly sure what happened. All I know is they really were hurting and I had to take extreme measures to save them. 17 plants take a long time to clean!

Thanks to all those that are still with me and special thanks for the MOTM votes. I appreciate it and hopefully soon things will calm down and I can get back to all my friends here at :420:. Please hang in there, I will be back as soon as I can.

The Afgoo will go 12/12 next week. I am holding off until I feel they're healthy and ready. There is so much more to say, but I gotta go for now...

:thankyou: and :peacetwo:

Hey to all! This is gonna be another short update without pics. Sorry just no time...

It's really turned into a challenge/near disaster! :surrender: I took the girls outside in hopes that things will improve yesterday evening. They're in shock big time from all the problems I created for them. Out of the 10 Afgoo there are 2 in severe shock and 6 somewhat recovering. Then there are two that seem to be recovering nice and strong. The outdoor grow is recovering nicely.

My new plan is to recover what I can from the Afgoo and leave them outdoors. The room is going to be sanitized to remove any lingering PM. I will remove all the Panda Film and replace it, then I will take clones from the best plants I have and make the GR into a temporary cloning operation. Once things settle down I will take the overgrow of cuttings to the local collective. Then I'll begin a new indoor grow.

Quix, Glad you had a good time! Wish I was there. :) Thanks to you and all for hanging in there and following my screw ups. From now until things settle down at work I will likely only post weekly. I have to get the work while I can to support my family. Soon enough the rains will start and I will be home, posting and spending as much time here as I can. I have kept accurate records and when time allows I will try to explain to all what has occurred to the grows so no one else makes my mistakes. In the meantime I wish you all the best grows possible and believe me when I say I miss all of your support and conversations. You are all the best! :cheertwo:

OMM, peace brother and hope all is well!

Astronr420, Hope your Afgoos are kicking ass! They're bound to be awesome! :goodluck:

Thanks for checking in Dutch Dude. Hope all is well there. I'll try to get pics asap and post them at a later date.

Shaggie420, Hope all is well with you. Hopefully I'll get to check out your progress soon. Miss your help and encouragement ,but I still get your good vibes bro! :) Thanks!!!

Yo Mac! I tell this to everyone at some point. Don't ever feel bad about taking time to handle your business brother, whatever it may be. And in your case, obviously its a no brainer. You gotta work, and family comes first. So post when you can, and dont feel bad if you cant. We'll all still be here when you find time bro!

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say, I wish we could help you with your plants! You'll figure it out though, and things will be fine. Keep your head up n we'll see ya when we see ya!

Oh and by the way, I noticed your thread didn't have a rating yet, so I rated it 5 stars. It's been a great read already, and I'm sure it will continue to be.

I wish yours were doing as good as mine are. the only problem I have had is that I had a little case of SM problems with them outside, went out and got me some Azamax, and that took care of that problem before it got out of hand!!! counted 12 dead mites yesterday!!! they have also moved into full flower power!!! so nug porn will be happening soon!!! and once again, im sorry to hear about everything!!! but yes family first!!!!!

Re: MacG's Afgooey - White Widow - Hog - Mystery Plants - In/Outdoor Soil Grow - Insa

Thanks to all for checking in and all the encouragement and compliments. Those vibes really help! :thanks: Thanks to Cal-Trans for screwing up the project I'm working on. Now I'll have a chance to come up for air tomorrow and will be giving a full update then. :yahoo: So this will be a short update on the Afgoo's.

As it turned out I lost 3 Afgoo's. If you recall I had two issues going on with my indoor grow. First was the PM then the nute burn. Here's some pics of how severe the nute burn was (as promised). Yes you can laugh and I am a little embarrassed and red in the face... but I do want everyone to see how severe nute burn can be. :bigblush:

This pic shows the one I broke during LST. I tried to save it by supporting the broken stock with an chopstick. Obviously the break was too severe and it didn't make it.

The other two Afgoo's were too burnt to save. Now I'm down to seven Afgoos. They are doing ok as I have placed them outdoors, but my chance at a decent yield is lost for sure. I gave it my best and am over it now. A failure? Yes but I'm not completely certain that these particular clones were up to par to begin with. They seem susceptible to even small variations in growing conditions.

What I'm not sure about is why they were burnt so bad. I used less than recommended amounts of Maxsea 16-16-16 combined with Maxsea 3-20-20 for the transition from veg to bloom. Then all hell broke loose! I did have problems with the other plants but none were affected nearly as bad as these were. So I've moved on and will share more pics and info tomorrow.

The clone room has been sanitized and outfitted with new lights and an 60 site EZ Clone. Pics of the GR and all the healthy plants will be put up tomorrow. I also hope to start the first batch of clones then. Yes!!! Can't wait. The rooms temp after a week of adjustments is holding now between 68-72 deg. Hope it stays that way...

Miss you ALL and hope that this post finds you well and growing the biggest baddest buds anywhere! :yahoo: :thankyou:

One final note. The pics tomorrow will include those mystery plants that I really would like to ID. Hope you all can help with that as :420: is the only place I trust for good solid info and help.
