LMAO Cloning For Dummies

Just don't overthink it and be sure to give em time. Sometimes it can take me a few weeks to see roots other times I see them in a week. So just don't toss em after the first week because you think they may not root.
Cool! Yeah ive been really successful in the past with starter cubes and rock wool but this is my first try in coco. Wait didn't I just see u had a starter cube clone on ur update lol? After seeing my buddy intheshed do it in soil I was like okay I can do this. I mean his are 10 days old but still standing straight up and are happy. Gonna hit the little shit with sts or cs and get some pollen hopefully. No one should ever have to buy the same strain twice :)

Yeah I use jiffy pellets... Ive tried just water and also soil in solo cups but efficiency/space wise jiffy pellets win for me in my opinion for what I need em for I generally get 80% to root and that's counting the smaller cuts and the ones that just start drooping instantly that just didn't have much of a chance... I can cram a bunch of em in a tight space which is good for me lol plus it's just easy to care for it's a nice small medium I just give them a little bit of water every day or two when needed I don't mist multiples times daily or use a humidity dome lol. The only times the leaves get wet is during the regular waterings when I dump the water on em. That's all with a rh humidity of 50-60% and with temps 70-80 degrees.

Definitely no point in buying the same strains over and over lol... Been cloning my SQ for a year now and will try my best to continue cloning her... Don't have the room for breeding or id love to make some fem seeds lol.

Damn I been away for few days...been busy as hell...just got the clones transplanted to 5gal buckets and got them all in the flower room...got a couple adjustments to make and they'll fit better but all in all I like it...the mom is in lower right corner...she should be done in a week

All my genetics are coming from seed banks so im not worried about losing them. My buddy takes clones from my girls and then ill do a few clone runs from him but im not falling into the trap i feel into last time i grew. I got set in my ways with my set strains and that was it. Im gonna try to keep more of an open mind and variety this time around

A few short months ago you came to this thread to learn how to clone. Remember how stressed you were? And now, look. Those are ginormous clones, ready to flip.
Man, they look good. Congrats,.buddy. ✌✌✌

Thank you very much ....I am proud of myself but it has been a team effort...thanks to everyone that has helped...I flipped them tonight...I hope they turn out better than their poor mom...but you get better each grow right lol in theory....

Hey all quick question so this winter I will be attempting to clone thinking about Wilson root stimulate or clone x gel ? My question if my humidity in veg tent is 60-80%. Temp around 78-82. With decent ventilation would I need to worry about misting and putting pop bottles over them as domes?

Thanks all have a great Saturday

Something I am learning as I go along is that you have to "listen" to your plants. Although they cannot verbalize they can and will show you what they want/need. Or in some cases what they don't want/need. I find that the answer to your question would tend to be strain specific. I clone in peat pellets soaked in Clone-X solution and the first inch of the cutting dipped in rooting powder. Something I found helpful is taking a small object and making a hole in the peat pellet big enough to put your cutting in without it rubbing off the rooting powder pushing it in to the pellet. They compress the sides against the cutting. I bought a turkey pan at Wally World that has the aluminum bottom and plastic dome. I start out putting the freshly taken cuttings in the aluminum pan without the dome. My preference would be to do nothing else other then watering the peat pellet if it gets less then moist.

Some strains are fine with this and will do fine with no help. Others, like the Blue Dream clones I just finished rooting were drooping and sagging within 2 hours of being put into their peat pellets. Misting the leaves was not enough as they continued to deteriorate. So I ended up putting the dome over them and an hour later they looked beautiful. They took nearly 14 days to root and that was with the Royal treatment.

You can tell they are rooted when you can leave the dome off and they're still looking good after a couple hours.

Hi, guys.
@kingjoe: i had limited success cloning in various conditions without my pop bottle cloners. I like growing in living soil, therefore sticking the clone in the dirt (sometimes with a bit of aloe on the end, sometimes using coconut water, sometimes nothing but the soil medium & plain water) with the "dome" creates a viable biosphere wherein the plant can thrive far more quickly than without it. It's like a baby in an incubator - not quite strong enough for the harsh outside world yet, but able to thrive iso struggle in the crucial first few days/ weeks. Just my experience, do what feels natural.
@ everyone: so, smelling lots of yummy weedy smells in your garden come harvest time isn't the best thing (resin evaporation etc). My garden reeks of weed, but what i find really cool is that my 4-6 week olds (nooooo signs of flowering, full veg still) smell almost as weedy as my flowering girls. I'm taking this to be a good sign - good flavour profile from early on. What i'd like to know, is what your experiences ito this are. Any feedback? Tx

I can't answer the cloning question cause I do it different from everyone else....the 8 clones I just put into flower have ranked real bad for a while now...smell em in the house and outside...even with a cool room...68-74 it still smells of weed real bad

Well ok all 10 of the new clones rooted...took 26 days total for them all to root but it's ok...thing is I can't keep all 10...have no room...I took 10 cuttings Incase they all didn't root...I can keep 8or 9 of them..I don't wanna off any of em but idk what to do lol

Experiment on them. Plant them outside & see what happens (though, if you get.snow... maybe not). Ask friends if they want a free girl.

Niceee grow

There's 8 in there with there mom...well I adopted 1...so it's the mom and 7 babies and the step child lol...but yea I'm proud of myself...this the most I've ever done and I haven't killed any yet...almost did the Mom but learning curves

Niceee grow

You don't have a way to set up another flowering area? I know you have more lights right? If you could get rid of the mom and maybe 2 or 3 of the kids would give those left more room to do their thing. I just think that set-up you have there could be pretty congested. But God they all look so healthy.

Think about it like this when you cut the clones and start the seedlings they have very little roots or no root so the easiest way for them to feed is through the leaves so yes I would still suggest you feeding them and sprained them makes it easier on the plant and makes them root a lot quicker I hope this helps

I can add on to the room just my time is limited during winter...I have the 2 150w hps lights I can use just trying to find time at the moment to build on to the room but it's in the plan

One thing I have found in clones when you cut them and you dropped them into a bucket of water or a cup of water and you leave them for your for 24 to 48 hours and then go to plant them in your soil they seem to root a lot quicker I don't understand quite while yet but I'm getting more and more closer as time goes by and I can watch
