Not personally. But I know a guy in Colorado who built his own cob led 3 years ago. He grows in quite a small space but has a great yield. He said in the 3 years he's had to replace a $10 cooling fan and that's all. I think they are the future of LED grow lights IMHO. Oh, he said if he were to build another light identical to the one he built 3 years ago it would cost him approx. $250 for the parts

Thats what iv always heard. Iv never tried to clone from just a leaf. Figured screw it now is as good a time as any to experiment. I had an old timer tell me years ago that every part of the plant has life figured screw it ill find out
 
Ok here's a weird question...my plant that's been in flower since July 17 is dark green and covered in crystals but today I noticed what appears to be fresh green thick looking growth on her and they are spitting out fresh white hairs...any ideas...I can try to get pics but not sure they'll turn out
 
I know it's hard to tell and I couldn't get a good good pic of new white hairs but you can definitely see the fresh new green in the pics...what's that mean

While ill admit im no photographer i absolutely love these pics of my girl i took Monday morning. I actually made the one of her hairs my phone wallpaper. I know dont seem like much but for me its huge. I used the same wallpaper the entire life of 3 phones ( about 6 years ). Last time i changed my wallpaper was a year and a half ago so yeah big deal for me lol.

I have a stupid question. Looking at seeds they all say average yield is in m2. While i know what it means how do you figure it out? Like my northern lights says 400-500g seed/m2 how do i figure out what they think the seed should get in my setup?

Don't take this as fact, just my interpretation of what it means. To me M2 is 1 meter x 1 meter which is approximately 10.7 sq ft. So in theory if you fill a 10.7 sq ft. area with plants your yield (in a perfect growing environment) should be 400-500 grams. I'm of the belief that the seed banks embellish just a tad to make their seeds more inviting.

I've seen northern do 1.5 to 2lbs indoors before but ive seen northern outdoors do 5pound plants.

Yeah i planted 2 seeds thinking i was going to get maybe 5oz. A plant. Kinda good thing i lost one of the seeds because this one girl is gonna end up filling my entire 4×4 tent. I think hight wise i should be fine because i don't see her growing another 20 inches tall but width yeah she is still getting fatter lol
 
I've read it's better to blow air threw the light than suck it out...but if you blow air threw and the housing leaks wouldn't it just blow hot air in the room...but if it's sucking cool air threw and the housing leaks then it would just help evacuate hot air that's inside the room ...what's everyone's opinions....if any of this makes sense
 
Well got it mostly done...got some leaks to tend too but nothing major...it has helped with heat...usually I had to keep room door open but I've had it shut and stays 75-77 degrees in there

Thats one thing i love about my led. Even when we got our few 100° days after i started her mt tent only got up to 85°. I know most say don't let it get that hot but i dont mind 85 as long as its not to long. I figure weed grows great outside and sometimes its gets over 100° for a few days at a time and it survives. I have actually done a few tests with heat but thats a story for another day lol
 
I'm not used to walking into the main room and it being cold...68 in main room...74 in flower and 80 in veg...it's nice that hood and ducting helped a lot!
