Yea wasn't gonna leave on the floor ...yesterday was just test running things and deciding where I was going to mount it...so just screw it to the wall out side...do I need to have like a space in between the ballast and wood since it gets hot or will it not get hot enough to maybe catch the wood on fire...this all new to me so I don't want any bad crap to happen

My lights at hung from the cealing right now with a metal hook with a rounded end and a s hook through it to my hood. Tops im a few inches from the plastic around my roof.
 
Cool it came with rubber pads to put under the corners as dampeners I guess so when she wakes up I'll start cutting holes and getting things mounted
 
Well finally got the ballast mounted on the outside and cords ran thru...got my new air cooled hood and fan ordered...then I'll buy the ducting and stuff next town trip...Now just deciding where I want to get cooler air from and where I'll send the hot air

Do you have an attic or crawl space above your grow room? If so they are generally vented. So you could vent up into that area and it will just dissipate with the regular air.
 
Yea got crawl space up there getting heat out ain't a problem I'm not worried about people smelling it...my house is on beams so was thinking about having my cool air drawn in from under the house but idk yet I'm still thinking...just seeing the best and easiest lol

Didn't you already have a hole with a pipe or something coming into the room from under the house? Getting heat out in the summer isn't a problem? Then I am totally confused and of no help.
 
Yea was a small hole im installing 6" ducting now for new hood I ordered so just seeing where I want to cut the holes no biggy just thinking out loud
 
Man these hps bulbs do get hot huh...250 degrees at half power...so if the main room stays about 70-75 would that be good enough to keep the bulb cool and then run the exhaust under the house
 
How to find out how much your plant is drinking in 7 days

2 parts of same size same amount of water measured out Philpott was saying soil measure level works with all plants place in same room treat just like it got a real plant in it: 2 5 gallon pots 73 degrees in room book pots get one gallon of water put side by side water plant as needed till empty pot needs water

Why you measure the water you give your real plant Jake total amount of water you give real plant -1 gallon of water from empty pot equals will give you the amount your plant drinks in the amount of time it takes one gallon to evaporate take that amount and divide by days equals will give you the amount your plant drinks in a single day

This will tell you if you are over-watering
 
Hopefully everything will be here in bout a week or so...tonight's the second night I didn't shut the door on time to flower room and she got some light from the clone room for bout 45 min past her bed time ...hope don't mess her up
 
So just ordered a lux meter and read about it so basically it should tell me how to increase light and how far away the lights should be right
 
Yea read about those too but it's about money at the moment...all these gadgets are new to me so just figuring out what is what but I'll look more into that thanx
