Medium - 8" Netpots with clay balls in RDWC system (5x13g buckets)
Water - Carbon-filtered well water (100ppm/8.0pH)

When I checked the res this morning, it had gone down 2-3 gallons. But the PPMs had gone up to 1770ppm, over 3.5EC. Too high! I took out 5 gallons of nutes and replaced it with 5 gallons of water. I also added 5ml of pH down to bring the pH down a little bit.

I'm seeing a bit more tip burn than I like so I'm going to let them come down to about 1300 and see how they do.

The buds are still building and putting on weight. Today I nudged the net and it was good to see the sway of branches with some weight on them. The frost in this tent is incredible and goes all the way to the lowest buds. It's even coating the leaves and stems in places.

Have a great week and enjoy the start of Fall/Spring!

Weekly Temperatures

Fall started last night at 9pm and it was like somebody hit a switch. Two days ago it was 84f with almost 90% humidity. Yesterday it was in the 80s and windy. Today the high is in the low 60s with 40% humidity and there's a cool breeze outside. For these girls it means the A/C no longer kicks on. They were starting to heat up so I opened up the screen door in the basement to air it out. It dropped the temperature and the humidity :) It's getting down in the 40s at night now so I should be able to keep the basement cool and dry as long as I open the door in the mornings. I really need to set up an outside exhaust in the basement.

These ladies are still only drinking about 2g/day. The res PPMs are still too high so I swapped out another 3g of nutes for water today. The pH had crashed as well which means these ladies are still eating plenty of K. I actually had to use the AN pH up for the first time.

I'll check the res again tonight and may even swap out another couple of gallons. I'd like to get the res PPMs going down or staying even on a daily basis.

I've named the plants for this grow after the show Bob's Burgers. I thought it would be neat to show how the rest of the gang is doing...

It all started with Linda, a Barney's Farms Mimosa x Orange Punch grown from seed. Once I took the cuttings I needed I gave her to my brother. He vegged her until she filled his 32x32 tent then flipper to flower. Her top buds were harvested last weekend, and he's letting the rest grow some more. Here's a picture my brother sent on 9/8.

I took 24 cuttings from Linda. Four were put into the RDWC system. I gave 4 to a friend from here on 420. I gave three to my dad. He just switched Andy, Ollie, and Darryl to flower.

I planted one in soil to keep as a mother. I figured if anything happened with the main grow I could just take more clones from her. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with her now. Linda II is in a 2g cloth pot in the corner of a tent and gets watered once a week whether she needs it or not ;) She looks like she could use some food, too. I probably haven't given her any Geoflora since she was potted about a month ago. This weekend she'll get trimmed and fed.

I planted one in an old raised bed outside with some FFOF soil and Geoflora. A week later a storm came through and snapped her in half. I re-planted with a bamboo stake to make sure she took hold. She's not easily visible from the window so she gets ignored. It looks like she's covered in webs or PM, but it's actually American Burnweed pollen. Two years ago they cleared the trees behind our house, now the field is full of it. It looks likes it's snowing outside this time of year, and Gail is covered in it. She really needs to be fed and watered, too.

My wife took two to play around with, Zeke & Jimmy Junior. They were both put in 9" self-watering pots and are being fed Geoflora as well. The self-watering pots have a small res and they need to be filled twice a day (they aren't). Zeke was placed outside next to the pepper plants. She had some mites and had been sprayed once so far. She's covered in burnweed pollen too. She gets watered more often, but she needs to be fed soon as well. She has some nice buds on her so I tied her up in the middle.

The second plant my wife took, Jimmy Junior, was placed by a window in her office with a cheap 100w grow bulb. I've checked and the light is only decent if you're within 2". That said, she has some decent little buds on her.

This one never made it out of a solo cup on the windowsill. There were four up here and but she was the largest. She mainly gets water, with some occasional nutes. You can see Teddy doesn't get much light up here.

If you've been keeping count, you know there's a few missing. Well, not all of the clones projects were successful. There were the four clones in hempy solo cups that I just got tired of taking care of. There were a couple in solo cups that just died outside. I had fun playing around with the clones and it was definitely better than just throwing them away.

I'm enjoying seeing how clones from the same mother grow in different environments and mediums. If I end up getting any weed from these other clones that's just a bonus. Well, mainly because of the stars of the show, Tina, Gene, Louise, & Regular-Sized Rudy.

There's still a bit of damage from overfeeding but it doesn't look to be getting any worse at this point. The buds are getting bigger and frostier but appear to be foxtailing. I'm not sure if this is too much light, nutes, or something else. I have no problems with foxtails and either way there's a LOT of weight in that tent. And everything is very sticky and stinky.

Have a great weekend.

Everything is still lush green down there.
Lots of time to finish up outside.
We had frost last night.
And your girls wow just beautiful.
Hope everything is going well Amigo.
Take care.

The plants look great Budman!

The info about all the clones was fun reading. I was waiting to see what happened to the one you gave to your grandmother! :)

Looks amazing! Legit the longest post I’ve seen 😂
Thanks V. I really thought about breaking that up into multiple posts but, in the end, got lazy ;)
They look great to me. At day 40 your probably still growing buds, rather than foxtailing?
Maybe. I don't see many white pistils and it sure looks like foxtailing to me. Of course, either way they're building :)
Beautiful plants and just incredible all around. Amazing frost on them:drool:
Thanks Rex.

Thanks Bill. The ones outside got out there pretty late, so we'll see how they finish up.
Amazing pics, that tent looks pretty darn full !
Thanks &), it's definitely fuller than I've had this tent so far. I really love the way the @VIVOSUN VSF6450 fills in the edges of the tent.
Hey Budman I was talking to Vivosun and they said that next year they will have a de-humidifier that’s compatible with your system next year, pretty cool huh?
Hey Captain, that is cool. For me personally, I'd rather see a compatible humidifier. I keep the room outside my tent dehumidified to 40-45% so I can just use the tent exhaust to lower the humidity in the tent. I do need a humidifier in the tent during seedling and early veg, though. What do you think about a Smart Grow System compatible humidifier @VIVOSUN ?

Sounds like a great idea 💡 👍

Water - Carbon-filtered well water (100ppm/8.0pH)

I opened the tent today for the first time since the last post, and only then to get pictures. Since adding 11ml of pH up the res has leveled out and is staying at 5.8 with well water only. The PPMs have leveled off as well and are starting to trend down. I'm still just adding water to the res daily until I can get it down below 1400ppm.

I'm glad I moved the second net up to support the weight near the top. There's a couple of smaller buds in the front of the tent that didn't make it up to the net, and they're starting to lean pretty bad. I'll need to tie them up soon. All of the buds are starting to put on some serious weight.

I love how full the sides of the tent have gotten with the @VIVOSUN VSF6450. This is almost the full tent I've always envisioned. I'm hoping to do even better with the next grow when I can begin flower with the VSF6450. This is the first time I've had buds at the edge of the tent that look just as good as those in the middle.

I'm starting the seventh week of flower so I may only have a week or two left. I love that there's no hurry this time to get them out of the tent. That means they'll probably finish early:laugh: I hope they take three or four more weeks, I'm looking forward to seeing how fat they can get :)

I've tightened up the humidity in the tent in the last week, keeping it on the low end of 50. As flower progresses and the buds get bigger and tighter I want to make sure the humidity stays in the low 50s / high 40s at all times.

I'm still just giving them water since the nute change, but it looks like they will need a boost soon. The PPMs are continually trending down now and my plan is to feed them when PPMs drop below 1400. After the additions of pH up last week, the pH is staying steady now with just well water (100ppm/8.0).

The buds are still getting bigger and frostier. I've squeezed a couple and they're very dense, even the lowers. I'm starting to get a bit of purple in there as well. Go ladies GO!

Have a great weekend!
